Tankfest 2024- FV4005 Stage II (After Restoration)

FV4005 Stage II is a Centurion Mk. 3 with a New Turret and a 183mm Cannon. For a long time it was sitting outside at the exit to the Museum where it got rather run down. So the Museum decided to restore it and make it beautiful again so they could make it the Star of Tankfest 2024.
FV4005 was a project to make a Tank Destroyer capable of destroying any Tank the Soviets could possibly conjure. Stage 1 was an open top design, it was made more for training purposes so the crews could get used to using the 183mm Cannon. Stage 2 was made as a serious attempt however the Project was cancelled in the mid 1950s when the Soviets moved away from heavy Tanks.
