You probably have heard “Whole Heated” which was pretty big around the same time as “more than words”. “Get the funk out” is another great song to react to by Extreme.
Extreme was a breath of fresh air in the midst of all of that hairspray and fly by night axe wielding of the 80s. Nuno simply left them all in the dust, save a rare few. Extremes latest has some of the best Nuno in years. 🤘😎❤
This is one of my favorite albums. Great music, great messages. I saw Extreme on this tour in a local club. Gary and Nuno had tremendous stage presence.
This is such a deep cut for Extreme. Great tune, just a deep cut as far as their biggest hits go. Always happy to see a reaction to Extreme though, they’re amazing. You should check out their performance at the Freddy Mercury Tribute Concert, where they did a phenomenal medley of Queen’s greatest hits.
Haven't heard much of Extreme except the one everyone else has, "More Than Word's" which I loved ❤ Protested in the 60's everything was going to be Peace✌️ and Love❤️ but time goes on and it repeats, War's will never go away. ☮️ Man will never live in Peace until they lose there Control Problems! As I've said before and so did Extreme "Make Love Not War" a famous statement in the 60's, Peace✌️ Gary ❤ Great reaction 🤣
Nuno is in my top 3 guitarists of all time and I absolutely love his solo in this. It’s so different and creative. ‘Play With Me’ is an absolute must if you’re looking for another Extreme song.
WHAT ⁉️⁉️ Freaking Awesome! Haven't seen any reaction to this song. CUPID'S DEAD,,, COLOR ME BLIND,,, POLITCALAMITY,,, TRAGIC COMIC and AM I EVER GOING TO CHANGE,, all great songs on this album!!! Many great guitar shred masters but few like NUNO and Michael Shenker, Steve Vai and the late Eddie Van Halen have individuality or their own style. Of course Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Von and others on that list. Great Reaction!! Great Channel!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
To me the song means when he says We can't afford to say these words lightly” people always talk about peace but then vote for politicians who create war it’s up to us the people to change and be more attentive to the world around us
Cannot wait to see you two react to John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band. Songs like "ON THE DARK SIDE", "TENDER YEARS", "WILD SUMMER NIGHTS", "GARDEN OF EDEN" and "TOUGH ALL OVER". They have an awesome sound!!
Get the funk out, is fun, not so deep like this, but awesome. It will be a rewarding experience. And By the way I love Rest in Peace, it is awesome song,Tragic Comic is another great fun one!!!
To understand the meaning of the songs of this album, you have to hear the whole album.. it’s divided in 3 parts (3 sides to every story: yours, mine and the truth). Rest in peace belong to the first part of the album…
"Make Love Not War sound "So Absurd to me!!!!" You can't afford to take these words lightly!" OR ELSE OUR WORLD WILL TRULY REST IN PEACE. You are coming to the same conclusion as the very same lyric you are questioning!!! Seriously guys! Give Peace A Chance is the absolute opposite of the conclusion this chorus is making guys
I have to be honest with you guys. With all due respect and love, your reaction was over the top with the political & war analysis which I was afraid that you would go there knowing how other sensitive subjects affect you. I know you guys love Led Zeppelin which have a lot of songs that are intense, but they don't seem to bring out anger. This group should be judged by their superior musicianship having only 3 members to create this wall of sound. Nuno Bettencourt is probably in the top 5 of most talented guitarists today. I will always continue to request music to you and hope you don't take my message to be harshly critical. I love your transparency & honesty & mostly your chemistry together. I honestly never cared much about their lyrical content & concept because their musicianship took me over, and a lot of other people. That's enough from me 😎 Robert A.
It’s not a pro war or pro violence song. It’s fully pro peace, just saying Make love not war is a cliche phrase, and should not be used or taken lightly. You have to actually mean it and care enough to try, in other words give peace a chance. They were heavily influenced by the Beatles, which John Lennon and Yoko Ono were often quoted as saying and used in song. A Christmas song.
If y'all liked this, you should check out Decadence Dance and Get The Funk Out. Nuno Bettencourt is a god on guitar.
Yes..agreed 👍

Extreme II: Pornograffiti is a fantastic album. This Album III Sides to Every Story is pretty darn good too. Definitely worth checking out.

Same as Dominika...absolutely love "More Than Words" but this tune is great too...fabulous pick..🎤👍🎸
What a great band!!! Extreme!!!
I love this LP so much. I bought it when it came out. And yes, "3 sides to every story " is one of the most important thing to know in this world !!!

The line, "Someone said give peace a chance", was a reference to a John Lennon song.

Am I Ever Gonna Change from the same album. 3 Sides is such a great album

You'd probably love "Hole Hearted" by them, "Other side of the Rainbow", "Interface", "King of the Ladies".
This is a concept album, so its difficult to examine songs individually from this album. Listen in full to get the full picture.
Nuno Bettancourt, IMO….one of the best guitarists currently playing…
Politicalamity and Warheads are other great tunes off this album

Do Night Rangers, Don’t tell me you love me, live 1985

Try Get The Funk Out and Hole-Hearted. When I first Kissed You is a Sinatra style piano based crooner song. It’s very New York.
They have a new album recently released that has some great new stuff that would be fun to check out.
I liked your playing the older stuff better. Not really into Heavy Metal.
