Why include grave goods like a special feeding cup for the dead disabled babies if they weren’t deemed worthy of life?

I suspect that it could have been an existing respect and mourning for the being that could have been.
Brains are similar now as then, as are paternal/maternal instincts. I may imagine that there was still some pain and respect for the dead that they wanted to be alive.
I could be way off though.. a good question.

In history murdered infants have often been left with grave goods. Greeks stuffed unwanted babies into jars and left them at the dump, but they often left a cheap piece of jewelry with the remains.

As a disabled dog lover, the first part of the documentary was very disturbing. And did not see it coming. Thought it was about the fire, alone.

Years ago I suffered from sleep parallist. Some times I could talk myself out of it but the majority of the time I didn't. All but one was about possession or the devil. I was able to scream during while it was happening. My dad was unable to wake me up even though my eyes were open. The first time it happened was different. It was your classic alien abduction. Bright light over me classic grey aliens. I was terrified. My background in psychology helped recover from it. My friend told me in high school that aliens could only come in your home if you didn't have curtains. My brother said that was ridiculous and eventually I agreed with him. Aliens and demons scare the crap out of me still
