Nice shave Heiko, I think I saw some videos where the T2 after closing the doors you need to turn the TTO almost 2 more turns, that locks the blade. I would confirm it with Rockwell.

I have a 6c that does not have the imperfections you have on your own, so maybe you were just unlucky. But as you say, it should have been picked up in their QA procedure (that’s what is for, after all).

    top review👍have a nice weekend

  • @jrsnow94

Thanks for the review. I believe the Rockwell blades are pretty dull, I wonder if the Wilkinson sword makes the razor a bit too aggressive? Looking forward to shave #2 with a sharper blade.

  • @squeaky166

I bought A Rockwell 6S this month & I like the #4 plate & then the #2 plate the best so far with a Gillette Nacet blade. Which razor do you like the best between the 6S & the T2 ? I wonder how it is going to shave with A different blade. Thanks for the great shaving video!

  • @MisterRz

Wait, Rockwell is Canadian? I thought it was a Swedish company. Am I trippin' ?

Hi Heiko "Recognize you from 20 feet away..." Love it!

  • @mg344268

Long live the "Gillette Aristocrat Junior" Heiko and a nice weekend to you and yours :)

Lovely review. Though I do think you and I have a very different view of what aggressive feels like 😂 I love my T2 and 6C, but not the Rockwell razor blades (very rough feeling) I usually use an Astra Blue, Permasharp or Gillette Wilkinson Sword (India) in my Rockwells and almost never go below a 4 (5 being my favorite lately) and even on a 6 plate I wouldn't put the T2 or 6C in my top 5 of aggressive razors. But that is the joy of this hobby, the difference opinions and experiences 😀 Cheers

Hey Heiko great review, yea I wasn’t a big fan of the T2 and I had both the stainless and their standard model. Shaved ok but I have noticed when you load a blade that it was uneven at times. The blade has too much movement when you clamp it down. I also found it to you point to get up under the nose. I have since sold mine Decent shaver but much more prefer the 6s and 6c on plate 5-6. They are both fantastic razors. Have a great weekend

That was a really interesting and im looking forward to hearing and seeing more about this razor, so your next video is highly anticipated, it would be interesting to know if there is much of a difference between the razor's and also different blades, great video Heiko , cheers mate.

Thanks for this you have answered my questions! 👍

  • @sellitman

Great review. The T2 was my second razor purchased. My 1st being the AL13 Henson. I went the other way from a Six setting which was way too aggressive down to a two. I'll have to try the one setting next time I shave. I also own the Ti-22 Mild from Henson which is my favorite so far. Great job. I'll have to try the oil, the soap and the balm now. Everyone says it's great.

Really looking forward to your use of this razor with your goto blade, whe Wilkinson Sword. These Rockwell blades don't get much love in the DE community. I am not sure if that is the cost/value proposition in part or simply about the sharpness/smoothness balance.

  • @almall4042

I only use the T2 on setting 6. I use it for the first pass when taking down a 1 week growth. It serves this purpose well and it doesn't feel too aggressive. Compared to the Mühle R41 I feel cozy and protected.

  • @WallyPankowski-wd8gb

Heiko this is a good unbiased review. However there is a difference between the T2 and the T2 SS. The SS is a bit milder in that the blade gap is not as pronounced as the T2 regular. I have used Feather blades and the shaves have been comfortable, smooth and efficient. YMMV.

  • @boostedbliss07MK5

I can’t believe the 1 setting gave you bbs! 2 was almost useless for me. For reference #3 on a 6c 3 pass shave it the ticket. #2 plate is close to bbs & I’ll use that if my face is irritated

  • @boostedbliss07MK5

The Rockwell blades are terrible. The Nick me up big time.

  • @jmw3938

Nice video, mate. Please, though… don’t run your finger over the blade like that (when you’re talking about blade gap etc). That’s a rookie mistake, and you will cut yourself (badly) one day. Treat DE blades with the utmost respect; this is not the same as shaving with a cartridge razor. The T2 is a great razor, as is the 6S, but Rockwell blades are as rough as guts! You would have had a much smoother shave with a better quality blade.
