I need help, actually I purchased a singing bowl but I have normal light wood mallet and I want waves can you please help me,any idea how can I make them without wrapping it with suede,at home 😅😅

Hi Siddtharta Verma, Generally the rule is the bigger the mallet and the more friction it gives to bowl the more waves appear. For some smaller and lighter malletes it could be even immpossible to make waves. For other it is possible but it could take months to find perfect technique, speed and force to use. My advice is to buy or make the better mallet: bigger the better and felt or rubber coat will be useful.

Is your mallet wrapped with suede? I can't get my bowls to sing with this part of the mallet, let alone make water dance!

Hello Natalie. Thank you for your comment. My bowls only sing when I'm using the suede wrapped mallets. I think it's a matter of technique to make them sing. You shouldn't rush and you should use proper force. Not tu much not too little. It's best to start lightly and then add a little force every rotation. When you feel the bowl is resonating, try to stabilize the move. It's harder with water I know. I tried several times before I could make them sing - I'm still learning :)
Edit: I also know some bowl sing better with suede wrapped mallets and some sing better with the wood part - I think it depends of the bowl type.
