que bueno verlo con canal, hace muchos años le sigo con los revisiones de lentes y cámaras, a muchas personas lo referencio. un saludo desde Bogotá Colombia.
I wanted the ad600 but you've given me, as a student, an affordable option to buy with enough power, I owe you for finding good options for us thank you for sharing!!!! I always gotta remember to buy what I need not what I want
Enough power for what? 400ws is about 8 times more powerful than a shoe mount flash, and remember we almost always use a few of these strobes at the same time.
The 3.5mm “wired” port perhaps provides the most convenient method for triggering as it can also be used to attach PocketWizard radio units, for those who don’t need the Godox X and Pro triggers.
Good review. Good price. love that you can leave it plugged in and when you power it up it remembers the previous setting. Sounds like a small thing but many devices miss it. 5700k seems a bit cool - but easy to fix in post I guess.
@@KenRockwellTV I still have my old Ascor studio strobes - they're an odd 5800k ish color. I don't use them anymore but back in the film days there was no in-camera WB of course so I had to rely on filters like a 1B. But it was never quite right.
Hi Ken, lucky I wasn't born in the 1950s, don't like to trip over the Cord 😂🤣. Do you think it would work well in Wedding photography without using Umbrellas. Perhaps family and group shots, or the Reception. Thanks for this video ken 😊
@@KenRockwellTV ohh interesting, so does that mean less hot or just more power efficient? I might just go with non- for the savings or do you think the led light will last forever. Is there an option to turn off the model light ?
@@LouisLuzuka LED saves power and less hot, but too cool color temp for me. I use 3000K household LED for bulbs in the regular sockets of my older Novatron strobes.
@@KenRockwellTV interesting so the difference is negligible because of the color temperature difference, so you don’t Even use the led modeling lamp? That would save me $150 bucks! If I get the non- v version but buy maybe one or two or three I’ll buy them with your links thank you so very much I just thought led would be better for longevity
@@LouisLuzuka Modeling lamps help me see what I'm doing. Yes, if it saves money, get the earlier version. as far as I know its the same except for the lamp
Hi Ken, I actually need one of this but want to use it in Europe and here too. What do you recommend? Someone told me if I have an EU plug, it would work. However, I don’t want to destroy anything. Please advise. Thx
Whatever you buy in Europe ought to be the correct voltage. Using a different cord to plug it into 240V is a good way to blow up a US/Japan spec version like I show.

Great with the little X3 trigger! Makes multi-light management easy.
Thanks!

Thanks for the review, Ken. Such low price surprised me!
Me too! Thanks!

You set a manual white balance with a white or gray card and you’re good.

I;d soften the light, No umbrellas makes for harsh light that has few uses at a wedding. Thanks!
Many thanks for your advice Ken 😊
would u recommend this? I usually use my 430ex to take pictures of my clients dogs, as studio portrait pictures
For any multi light setup I always recommend strobes like this over messing around with show-mount flash.
@@KenRockwellTV thank you so much
what are your thoughts on the godox 600 is that too much power and 7lbs in weight?
Not familiar with it. If it’s the same thing as this but 50% more powerful, I’d get it only if you’re trying to light up whole rooms.
theres a non-v version for cheaper by $100 what does the V do? or just get this exact version (in Canadian dollars)
V just replaced the 150W halogen model light with a 10 watt LED.

Does it work well enough with f32 for table top?
That’s how I shoot it. Yes! Of course like tires you usually want a few at the same time.
