We had 3 of our preachers, who survived the death march in German, Hitlers army. We also had 2 of our lady’s who were executed during his reign. A British princess was banned to the outside, so that nobody was permitted to see her. However, her brother was permitted to write to her, and he wrote to her everyday.
This is definitely not "The Diary of Anne Frank." She's 13-15 in her diary and writes in the years 1942-1944. Her sister is Margot, who is 3 years older than her. They hide in the back building of Otto Frank's company, their father. They call it the "Secret Annexe". Anne Frank hides with Margot, Otto, their mom, Mr. and Mrs. "Van Daan", Peter "Van Daan", and Mr. "Dussel". They eventually get betrayed by an unknown person and all are sent to concentration camps in late 1944. All of them died except for Otto Frank. Anne's dream was for her diary to one day become a novel, so Otto Frank did publish her diary. Anne's diary is now the 2nd most bestselling book in the world, right behind the Bible.
(I learned all of this in 8th grade language arts this month.)

Why would anyone think this is Anne frank the dates say 1880-1972 that alone is a big enough clue let alone the fact it's by anonymous and it starts off with this girl at school so how could anyone of these commenters have listened for so long before realizing it ?

You could show a little bit of respect for her. Her name was Anne Frank, not "the Ann girl"

Poor girl she was innocent I'm just fifth class I'm studying about this and sounds interesting!
My beef is not the content of the diary, I actually found it very interesting, my issue is with the person reading it. She reads too fast and without interest and the commitment required to keep this interesting.
This would have been better if read by a British reader or anyone that would slow it down and use intonation when appropriate.
This is a very bad narrator.

This narrator is better than a couple I've heard from the Librivox narrators, " 50 years in Chains" had 4 or more narrators for the one book, & two were excruciatingly hard to hear. Someone in the comments recommended changing the speed, so I did & it did help.

it's so sad that as you speak there are dissenters to this work by Anne Frank, I want to believe this Diary's contents as much as anyone but the contradictions are overwhelming even to me who revered Anne and what she stood for in our hateful world!
