Love this! I've recently gone through my monthly subscriptions and saved over £50 a month by downgrading on subscriptions I don't need so much, or cancelling some completely! Such a fab video! x

The only thing I disagree with is accounting! Unless you genuinely enjoy doing it or have an accounting background it's actually the first thing I would recommend to a small business to outsource. If you are earning enough to pay GST/VAT/etc. I would even say it's non-negotiable. I've had an accountant since I worked an office job and it just makes things so much less stressful and they would get me more on a tax return than I would myself, even after their fees.
As a registered pty. ltd. company now paying Super and wages for myself and my husband, as well as personal tax and company tax, and quarterly BAS, it's the last thing I would cut if I was trying to save money in my business (which I've had to do in the last 2 years). Genuinely worth every dollar I pay my accountant. 😂

If I was in your shoes I would do the same but as a sole trader, I really don’t mind doing the accounting myself and it saves me money! It just depends on the circumstances of your business and whether you find it too stressful etc, but my taxes are fairly simple due to the nature of my business and the fact that I’m a sole trader x

@@printsbymilly Even as a sole trader I had an accountant, but we have to pay quarterly tax even as a sole trader here (GST) once you sell over a certain threshold so it's worth it there alone. I totally get what you are saying tho, it's just funny because get an accountant is my first line of advice for anyone when they ask me for small biz advice. But I've always hated doing my tax returns even when I worked for someone else.

Great video Milly! I really do love your studio vlogs but i wanted to pop in to say that when you mentioned that you outsource your notepads because you don’t have a press, you don’t necessarily need a press to make notepads. For mine I use binder clips. You just put them on both sides of the pad and since they really squeeze whatever they are holding, it keeps it together. Not hating at all I just want to inform you and anyone reading this comment about that.
Also, I also have a small Etsy shop its called TiffanysCreativeMind and I also sell stationery and digital planning goodies :)

Hi Milly, I love your tips!! I was only thinking about this yesterday. With working in my spare room and having it quite nicely set up, I began to 'feel' like I wasn't 'professional' enough and started looking into outsourcing my stickers, sticker sheets etc....then my son (19) reminded me that it's not about size it's about quaity...so I had to have a good talk to myself!! hehe I do all the things you do and sometimes, I have to spread out onto my kitchen island when I'm doing seasonal or themed collections....my ADD brain is wired a little offset!! so my son and his g/f who live with me are having to tip toe around not to cause any breeze to blow anything on the floor....!!! ok this was longer than i intended but i love your videos and i love your personality so i'll not delete it. lol

Printer tip is a lifesaver! Never knew this. When you say you keep it on, do you mean keeping it on at the switch on the printer, or at the wall?
