Great performance! In the Olympics, she added an illusion turn in her final spin. Why'd they do that? It made her end late. Here it was right on time.

Apart from the flutzing, her jumps were pretty solid. No wonder even during her short eligible career, she won all the major titles, including an Olympic gold medal. This program really showcases her strength. She seems to flow across the ice and this program has energy, drama and in my opinion, she had a better long program than Michelle Kwan.

How did she get a 5.7 from Germany…whose program was more technical

Better than the Olympics I think. Her triple loop triple loop equally as perfect and she did a better triple toe half loop triple salchow here and finished her pose almost on time

i think her final spin is better overall. At the Olympics she tried cramming in that weird diagonal thing into the final spin which just made it look slower and her ending pose came late. this was as close to spot on as she would get, i think.

I think I remember Michelle had a toe or foot injury so she withdrew it rest for the upcoming nationals. At the nationals the commentators mention it during her short and long program since she changed the difficulty of the jumps.

She had a stress fracture in her toe, so even though she qualified for the Grand Prix Final, she dropped out to rest her toe before Nationals.
