The Best Coca Cola Onions Recipe

- 4 to 5 medium vidalia onions
1 1/2 to 2 cans coca cola
NOTE: never made it with other type of colas but if coke isnt available in your area use whatever cola is available and see how they come out.
This recipe yields about 2 cups of cooked onions

Really good with a little bit of celery and pepper. The onions and coca cola are still by far the biggest, baddest thing in this, but I ended up doing a little bit of a holy trinity/mirepoix kinda thing. The little it of celery flavor just elevates it from a 10 to an 11.

Is there a way to use these in jam and jelly? If so, do you or any of your viewers have a recipe? Also, for storing, could these be canned and processed in a water bath? Any suggested processing time? May thanks in advance.
Interesting, maybe add some pectin? I never tried. As for canning, while I do can items Ive never canned this. It may be able to be done if the pH is right. That would have to be researched. Maybe research canning onions. Sorry, Im not more helpful

@@johncampo7634 Your welcome! And thanks. I made today my Cola Onions. Used twice the amount of cola and added a tsp cayenne pepper to it! Tasted great! I didn't used Coca Cola but a local brand here in Germany, Europe

LOL...thanks..that sound is generated automatically when speeding up the video...in this case it worked. I normally delete the sound when speeding up a clip

i stayed maybe 30 seconds. your intro too long. i came for onion recipe not to see you family vacations. your wasting our time is why view count so low and people leaving. recipe should take 2-3 min max
