Allergies issues stem from a unique gut microbiome, and it's the ability to deal with non-hazardous things, like grass, chicken, or dust.
By nourishing the gut, you can reduce sensitivity and therefore improve your dog's condition.
However, using highly processed food, not fresh natural foods, reduces the effectiveness of the therapy.
Not to mention that processed foods do contribute to cancer...
If you want the best for your dog, which you. You don't want expensive vet bills or to be buying overpriced food, learn how to create a simple fresh food diet that works for them.

Hello, I’ve been enjoying your content and have been using your recipes for my pup ever since we got him a year ago. Could you please share your thoughts or create a video discussing the suitability of a plant-based diet for dogs?
we don't all have the time to make home made meals for our dogs and it has been suggested that I try a hypoallergenic food for my cocker spaniel who has regular yeast and ear infections with spots on his tummy and crusty eyes so I feel like I am entering a mine field with all of the conflicting info out there as to what is best!
My dog was on this for years after he was diagnosed with ibd. He had constabt flare up since jan this year. Iv gone against the vet with fresh food diet turkey. The vet reccomended hills i was like no thanks. I wish i found your channel earlier. Any tips for anxiety ? My boy gets anxious when im not at home
Hey. All thing you suggest sounds very good if you live in house in one place. We are travelers, with a tiny fridge and micro freezer in it. What food would you suggest in our case? Have an aussie puppy atm and soon we will need to switch to adult feeding.
Hello! 😁
Can you do on review of Viva Raw and Dr. Harvey Canine Health?
Also, may be a video on Incontinence that discuss possible holistic ways to help improve or reduce incontinence in female spayed dogs.
My adopted 7-year-old (give or take) dog has been on Royal Canin Hypoallergenic since October last year due to inflammatory bowel disease (prescribed by a gastroenterologist vet). We chose to feed him 4 times a day so he wouldn't be empty stomach for many hours in a row. Well, the ultrasound from 4 days ago showed no improvement in the IBD, and revealed an inflammatory gastritis (which he didn't have). He has constant acid reflux (mainly during the night) and sometimes he vomits in the morning.
Then I read the label..... If I ate so much fat and carbs I would myself develop gastritis.
We have a vet nutritionist appointment for tomorrow. There's no way he'll get healthy eating dog food.
How much is your consultation fee. I am in great need of help with my furbaby.
Hiya Cam, do you offer meal plans? How much grams of food per meal etc?
Hey there, yes I do on my website!
Yes!!!! Let's go natural!
I have a question about stools, my dogs are on Bella and Duke but their stools come out hard and white, any ideas why or what's causing this?
Calcium, there may be a little too much in bone in their food.
@@thedognutritionist I rang them and they add apple cider vinegar to every meal, how long would I have to keep adding this?
Hey, I was looking at your urinary support recipe and it said read the article at the bottom of the description if interested in specific issues and there is no link to an article or ant way to comment on that video.
Why would you shut off comments?
Do dogs ever grow out of food allergies? Or can eventually tolerate the food they’re allergic to? My dog has tons of food allergies
They can. Allergies are due to a unique gut microbiome composition, however these can change/ develop over time with the right nourishment.
@@thedognutritionist do u no what can help reduce the food allergies? My dog has a ton and I’m running out of food options for my poor pup. She is on a probiotic already but not sure if she needs something more. Thank u for replying I really need some advice!
Janelle did you get any more advice?
My cockerpoo is really struggling with a very snotty nose, has been for about a year now, he can't settle to sleep even because of the mucus.
Vets are just too expensive. I feel it might result in me having to have him put to sleep..its so sad because he is only 2 and otherwise healthy.
@@bingowings113 I didn’t get any other advice from anyone, I think mucus could be from food/environmental allergies. But you would have to ask a professional about it. I did get a lot of my answers from this app called vetster which is an online vet chat you can ask any questions you may have about your pets, they really helped me!
My dog has been put on this because it contains hydrolyzed proteins because he has Immune Mediated Polyarthritis. Be interested to know what Cam thinks would be a good alternative? There is little else on the market that contains hydrolyzed protein.
I would bet that your dog got the autoimmune disease from excess vaccines.
Hills Z/d killed my dog-- I only used the hydrolyzed stuff for a few days once or twice a year when she had a GI issue. Otherwise, I was able to keep her healthy on an all fresh, balanced, homemade diet. Anyway, so since I was only using the Z/d sparingly I was not worried that it would ruin her nutrition and microbiome. But, even though her kidney enzymes were perfect several months prior, they shot through the roof. I had been using the Z/d that week and they later recalled for toxic amounts of vitamin D causing kidney damage. I can't prove this was the cause but I know it is so. I did not hav the cans with the lot numbers and it is not the case that they usually recall all the bad stuff anyway. The moral of the story in my opinion is that feeding Hills or any of these other big brands is too risky.
So, I would recommend buying digestive enzymes from Bark and Whiskers (the kind for fresh food. I would purchase 7% fat, grass fed, Eel River ground beef. It is finely ground. I would leave it raw at room temp mixed with a scoop of the enzyme blend. For even more serious digestion you could add a few tsp of apple cider vinegar, let it sit for 30 minutes until it turns whitish, neutralize the acid by adding water and a calcium supplement and then add the digestive enzymes for another half hour. Lot of work so probably not doable longterm but the goal would be to heal the GI tract so it is no longer leaky and reacting to various proteins.
I need help 😢 my dog has just had bad round of acid reflux that it’s inflammed its throat and nose causing congestion - I’m trying to re-train his gut with fresh healthy foods but it doesn’t stop the exsiting inflammation, I’m trying raw honey but I’m finding I’m back at the vets talking about antibiotics!
Hey there, our Digestion Health Plan might help in managing his gut health more effectively. Check this link: www.thedognutritionist.com/products/digestion

@@thedognutritionist brilliant, this is what one of my dogs is on alreaady and he loves it. Would you say that it would be better to stick with this than change to a hypoallergenic diet?
All vets recommend this brand of food, it is crazy expensive and low quality ingredients from what I see. Recently got a GSD pup, vet told me they have breed specific foods, I looked at the ingredients... never.
My dog got ear yeast infection for first time ever (7y old) in two weeks after starting Royal Canin Hypoallergenic, gonna switch back to raw diet for sure. 🙃
Definitely do that. Just avoid carbs and sugars (fruits included) for a month. I'd suggest looking into my recipes on my website.
My Dog has dermatitis and is on medication for life sadly I would rather have have him on prescription feed than see him suffer
He doesn’t even have a PhD. A hack.
Who needs a PHD to understand that processed food is worse than fresh food?
@@thedognutritionist struck a nerve?
@@MariahCareyVevo1why so hostile and negative? this man is trying to help..for free!!!
If you can't say anything constructive shut the fook up.
