I remember this vid. Lol. Also I've heard that the spook will also spawn sometimes when your frinding for too long without breaks to check if ur a bot or a gm will take control of that character to check.
I could believe this. A lot of our combos are just repetitive so I wouldn't be surprised.
He's complaining because he was definitely doing this with a headset ontop of an eraser on his Q button overnight. 100% he logged in, saw he had almost no trash loot, wondered why, tried it again and it spawned on him.

tbh the grind "content" is so bad and not worth the time, that they just should let everyone bot/afk grind. Like you need to grind for over 100hrs to get some shitty 3dp upgrade on your gear. You will NEVER reach endgame without thousands of boring grind or swiping your credit card.
I disagree. The game is like a fighting game with combos and other features attached to this.
It's very overwhelming in the essence of an MMO for a lot of new players. But it's the way the game was designed.
He just has to press Q instead of holding it. Not really a big adjustment in play style from how I perceived it.
I don't afk grind myself but this situation seems very counter intuitive. If PA didn't want players 1 button grinding, why not just nerf or balance the skills being used for this play style?
I sorta agree with the players frustration that they are keeping the play style possible but intentionally making it frustrating for players to do it, feels like a spit in the face.
Feels very elitist to discount someone elses preferred play style while it is allowed within the games own rules just because you may view it as less skilled or low effort. That mentality and reasoning should then extend to easier to play or easier to grind classes in general. Should those classes be punished because they happen to have less imputs for similar damage than classes that require more?
TLDR is that implementing added friction to address the symptom and not the root cause isn't a good system, and the whole conversation around this one players frustration comes off as an elitist ego trip and guilt insinuation
As a person who plays the game the way it's intended to, I've never come across this mob.
But classes in return shouldn't open an avenue for 1 button grinding. Players who fall in this category shouldn't be punished per say. But adjusting to 2 buttons isn't a big deal for a trade off.

But if the issue is with the amount of skills being pressed, going from 1 to 2 i don't think meaningfully addresses what seems to be the core issue.
You're not removing the play style by implementing this change you're only making the act of playing it more frustrating for those who do enjoy it. Those who abused it by truly being AFK will most likely find an easy work around to this fix and same with botters.
I feel that a cleaner more uniform solution would have been to nerf the skills being used so that it would be impossible to play this way, and give a clear statement of intent so players know that PA does not want this type of player behaviour.

I used to play a grind heavy game called MU online a long time ago when I was like 13. I use to tape my mouse button down to grind. Got banned, learned my lesson. Play the damn game!

i mean, my whole time playing BDO grinding with awakening sorcerer is already broke my fingers, but it do keep myself stay on focus. Meaning playing the game
i do always prefer for active grind rather than AFK grinding, but occasionally do AFK grind when i am too busy

I think the part that rubs me the wrong way is that he gets like 2 atanis elements and a decent number of caphras, from just standing there complaining about how he cant just stand there in like 5 minutes. if you could afk that spot you could print so much money with free infinite pots and flood the market with caphras. afk fishing is passive income, but it is no where close to the amount of gold you could make puting a 6 sided die on your key and then lay something heavy on it so it only hits the 1 button (how i avoided afk timers in New World, yeah I know i'm a scumbag). You could still "active grind" this spot with an apm of litterally 2 to avoid the mob, but that is too hard. also i kind of call cap on the 22.5k hours in the game and still only 60, using agris on traitors grave, and i think that amount of time would constitute a nerd.

Forget the name but I played a game that implemented this anti-bot program. Stay too long in one spot and a ground damage effect would occur and if you didn't run you died. I don't have a problem with it. Screw bots.
This is peak gaming Kappa, tldr of spook mechanic: it takes about 5mins for it to spawn, you gotta be within the same 5yards, after you triggered it the first time its random 30sec-2mins respawn if you keep being within the same 5yards where it first spawned, have tested this a fair few times at star's end towers where it was first implemented and later on added to all grind spots where u could theorectically afk grind. (EDIT: Also the way it works in how it deals dmg, there's a red circle thats very small around it where it spawns and it does an explosion that 1shots you, on global labs ppl have seen numbers to upwards of 60k dmg on dp meme builds, but u basicly just have to take 2 steps to the side as it spawns to not get hit by the attack and it despawns again in 10seconds or so)

it spawned on my witch pressing voltaic pulse off cooldown standing at normal thornwood in the spawn point off that mini event before the dark knight spawns when mobs come running to you. i got killed but at least lost no crystal, you dont have to move at all but the event ends after like 3-4 minutes. i dont think thats intended as the whole mini event is designed that you dont have to move until the miniboss spawns.

BRUH i found a SPOKE, i was grinding in Gyfin when i got back on my lahn. moving as always. but had a dude who needed to do a guild quest in my party so i let him leech. he went afk but had pets out. 2min later the SPOOKE spawned and i shat my pants. man is scary and 1 taps u 😂

In my opinion bots are more advanced than to hold 1 button, therefore punishing 1 button, no movement grinders THIS rapidly is a bit silly.
Having said that, I find the AFK-man's rage silly. But I also find your acceptance of such a quick-to-activate mechanic weird. There is a level of nuance that is being missed on both sides here. But that nuance doesn't make people click and respond to your content.

I think in reality, this should probably be changed. That's just me. Such a mechanic existing should just encourage a player to grind a bit differently.

just a couple things on this, if hes legit playing the game there really is no reason for him to be targetted by anticheat, if the anticheat cant distinguish between cheater and real player then its simply a bad anticheat.
secondly if the game allows him to grind with one button then really there is no actual issue with that, there is no rule that states you must use all the skills your character has, if he wants to use just one skill thats on him, if devs dont like that its up to them to change it, simply adding a cooldown to these one button skills would fix this.
thirdly i have no real issue with this anti bot one kill mechanism AS LONG AS you dont lose xp/crystals and things like that, would be stupid to kill a legit player and have him lose out because of a mistake in the Anticheat.
and finally, if these guys are found to be cheating by AFK grinding by having something hold the button down then just ban them

my main issue is the anticheat though, it should be able to tell the difference between a bot and an actual player, on ebutton grinding can be fixed simply by adding a cooldown to the skill

I have not been playing bdo for years but i like to watch your content from time to time. Just judgin by how i understood it purely from this video just pressing more than 1 button in 60 seconds is enough to not spawn the mob? Wouldnt it be easy to implement a simple wiggle to counteract this then if you were a botter. I might be completly wrong im just basing my conclusion off of the information in the video.

Casual player can get to full pen ( + - 2 tet distos) in 6 months and brake 301 bracket easy with all the conveniences they added for new players, you dont even have to hard core grind to get there. But i gues its easier to try to find game loopholes and complain about it when they dont work or make money then to actualy do a proper rotation on a profitable spot
would challenge you on that, if you start from scratch you never get to 301 in six months despite you are very lucky hitting the enhancements
I could absolutely do that if I sat down and committed to it. Id do it even faster than 6 months.
