Julie Fuchs: Deh vieni, non tardar (Mozart)

Julie Fuchs performs Susanna's aria, "Deh vieni, non tardar," from Mozart's "Le nozze di Figaro" at the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence.
Julie's previous performances of the role for which she have been acclaimed as “stellar...both vocally and as an actress” (Bachtrack). This new production (a co-production with Teatro Real Madrid) was directed by Lotte de Beer with scenic design by Rae Smith. Thomas Hengelbrock conducted the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble with a cast that includes Gyula Orendt as Count Almaviva, Jacquelyn Wagner as the Countess Almaviva, Andrè Schuen as Figaro, Lea Desandre as Cherubino, and Maurizio Muraro as Doctor Bartolo.

Ooh! Some painful tweaking of the rhythm. Lovely delicate voice otherwise. There is a pulse to this piece That should build to the conclusion but is mostly ignored.
