Moving Metal (Part 1) - I purchased my very own pipe expander!

I've needed one of these for a few years now, and the downpipe project has kind of necessitated the need to purchase one. This should make doing exhaust and other pipe work a heck of a lot easier, as I won't have to cut sockets off of other pipes and reattach them.

I did have to make my own fitting to adapt the ram to the air pump. I'm told it's a "douty" type fitting though, if you have better luck than I.

I did a video of this a year or so a go..stainless is the hardest to do mild steel will be very easy but either way you must rotate the pipe 1/4 turn or so to get a round result adding the air/hydralic pump makes very good but you still need to take your time with stainless... Also the hole punch kit you use may have a different thread on the forcing screw so its best to check it before you buy the kit. I used the astro pipe expander and the HFT early version hole punch kit to make mine and still works well today.

Good tip on the hole punch kit. If it comes down to it, I can make my own adapter on the lathe though 🤣.
As for the expander, I did figure that out and got fairly good at using it for my needs.

I wouldn't say garbage, just that it struggles with stainless. It worked on aluminum great, and I imagine aluminized steel would be fine too.
