Another L Well, the gear s3is just better just because of the speaker. The software, size, and the bezel is the same. If you'd like to talk to and hear people through your watch then get the S3, but if you are a swimmer, then go for the sport. The S3 is not that good of resistance.
I can't believe someone would've wanted to use that huge orange metal thing, I am a big man and all but there is a limit to what I would sacrifice just for a watch, having a big UFO on my wrist is not a road I'll go down, the gear sport however.. Yes, thanks.:D
Great review Michael. I understand your dislike of devices with micro UBS, however charging cradles normally get plugged in once, and then left like that for years to come. Keep up the great work, and please keep posting about smart watches.
I had the gear sport for about 1 and a half year, and overall it's a very solid smartwatch pros: - super crisp and colorful display. Absolutely loved it - Easy but functional UI - Rotating bezel works really nicely and helps alot when navigating through menus/scrolling - Solid build quality - Tons of watchface choices cons: - took quite a long time to charge. 0-100 in about 2.5 hours or so - Not a lot of apps available/free to download
That moment you like the video even before watching the first 30 seconds. Because you know it's gonna be good. Keep up the great work MrMobile
The Gear Sport is the smartwatch for me. I loved my Pebble watch but I want some color and better apps for fitness. Also, the size of the watch is probably the best feature. I don't like how big the Gear S3 is on my wrist but that is just me.
Great review, thanks - thinking of ditching the iPhone/Apple watch combo for the LG V30 and this Gear Sport watch. Love the Charlestown background shots too!
I have a gear sport and it's honestly a pretty awesome little smartwatch that lasts fairly long, I don't leave the always on display on and I was at 80% at the end of the day today
@MrMobile One thing I think is missing out of a lot of these smart watch reviews (not just yours, but others) is a report on the vibration. Is it strong enough to wake you up or get your attention? I think the Pebble nailed this, but my Moto360 v1 is weak. Thanks for your videos, you do a great job. LLAP.
+Kreg Steppe Ah, fair point! I'd call the haptics average on the Gear Sport. Not nearly as pronounced as on the old Pebble or the Apple Watch, but stronger than the LG Watch Sport. Hope that helps! LLAP
Holy crap IM BATMAN I know right, I wish Pebble was still here, but I think I've found a near perfect replacement. They amazfit paste, and bit are excellent Pebble replacements, although the amazfit bit still hasn't released here in the west yet.
The estimation of calories burn isn't that big, I think it estimates all the calories burned that day (as in, by breathing, eating etc.). So values around 2000kcal (as shown in the video for the previous day) are actually even a little low. Beside this little point, great video as always!
Excellent review ! Nice watch, great battery life, there needs to be a next generation pebble. The buds look great. I still like my Sony extra bass buds. Thanks for the review
Funny that you said it OVER estimated calories. Every other Samsung wearable (and phone) has underestimated/not taken heart rate into effect. I'd do an hour long Orange Theory workout and get less than 300 calories, instead of the 1000 that I'd rack up with their heart rate sensor. What were you getting for calories burned?
Still happy with my Gear S2. A smartwatch without cellular connectivity does not meet my needs. My smartwatch keeps me connected to my work phone on my day off when I refuse to carry my phone. It is a nice convenience that a lot of people may not understand.
Only real difference between S3 and Sport is swimming and smaller¿ Thinking about buying but confused about which one to buy. Not a fitness guy just play golf and yes want something to count steps. Can you list the difference s between the two?
I spoke with Samsung just today and they said the MST feature for Samsung Pay on the Samsung Sport is coming in an update "soon" which allows you to use it with the magnetic strip on ANY PoS like Samsung phones and the Gear S3
Did miss the part how the earbuds sounded. Is it comparable too lets say $100 wired earbuds or more like $20 earbuds. I hope it's better than Airpods. I have a wireless Samsung Level Over headphone which sounds great because of APTX.
Hi, Mr.Moblie can u plz do a video on the gear s3 vs the gear sport because I'm trying to decide which one I should get. Also can the gear sport take calls off of Bluetooth or no?Like actually talk to the person via the sport.
Hello sir, im from the phikippines and there is no LTE version here of the gear s3. I just want to ask you one thing about the version with wifi and BT. In wifi, in case you left you phone in your house and it was connected in your home wifi, and you have with you your s3 at your friends house with your s3 connected to your friends wifi. Will it still work that you can receive calls and mesafes and other notifications even if your phone and s3 is connected with different wifi? I hope you can answer my question. Thanks alot and more power to you sir.
I use this one for work and the gym, excellent and rugged. S3 frontier was supposed to be high end and rugged but NOPE it scuffs way too easily on the bezel.
Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve been waiting for totally wireless buds for like 10 years. They just sound like an obvious product idea that was long overdue. With the unfortunate drawback that the Gear Icons were heavily Samsung Phone dependent AND that their battery life and build was atrocious and inconsistent from piece to piece, I found them to be the single best execution of the totally-wireless concept so far. Sound quality was excellent, I never ever had connection issues and noise isolation was fantastic. Unfortunately I returned them due to concerns about their longevity. I hope Samsung has refined and perfected their design
Phillip Pugh did you read my whole comment? I liked them when they performed.. unfortunately they have terrible reviews for durability and the battery HOLD was TERRRRRRIBLE. Right after you take them off the charger, they last more than long enough for me. But put them down for a day and they’re dead. They don’t hold charge. They’re an amazing product in theory, I just didn’t have faith in them in the long run. I just hope Samsung has done a better overall job this time
Michael, could you please tell, if i need a tracking device for my runs only, should I choose gear sport or gear fit 2 pro? I've watched your reviews and functionality looks the same to me.
"Brought to you by Man Outfitters." I love you even more now, Michael.
They're so good.
TWSTING THE BEZEL LIKE A "BEN TEN" WATCH it's hero time
I wonder if there's a Ben 10 watch face
@@Xencam pretty sure these something like that out there😂😂
I have to say I'm sold on this. As a Note 8 user in the market for a watch, I might give this a go.
Another L Well, the gear s3is just better just because of the speaker. The software, size, and the bezel is the same. If you'd like to talk to and hear people through your watch then get the S3, but if you are a swimmer, then go for the sport. The S3 is not that good of resistance.
"clunkers"
Basically every watch that Micheal has reviewed before this.
I can't believe someone would've wanted to use that huge orange metal thing, I am a big man and all but there is a limit to what I would sacrifice just for a watch, having a big UFO on my wrist is not a road I'll go down, the gear sport however.. Yes, thanks.:D
by watching your this video i was suprised that how can u just have 481K subs ...really very much underrated.......
How fitting you post this right after I bought an Android Wear Watch.
Great review Michael. I understand your dislike of devices with micro UBS, however charging cradles normally get plugged in once, and then left like that for years to come. Keep up the great work, and please keep posting about smart watches.
I really like it when youtubers use sponsers they can identify with and then disclose them correctly.

People are not lying. You do sound great. great content btw
It’s so fun to watch you in Boston, I also live there! I might encounter you one of these days, Michael.
The editing is amazing! Keep up the good work!
Michael, you are a superb reviewer!
I am still rocking a gear s2 love it .
You have an utterly soothing voice mr mobile.
one of the best reviewers in the industry
Congrats for the great quality of your videos! always a pleasure to WATCH
Dude, your reviews are fresh to death.
Still have this until now and its still the best for me ( in my opinion )
Man I love this guy's reviews! He's exceptionally good.
You took that shot near the factories in Chelsea/Everett!!! You missed the casino though
@MrMobile One thing I think is missing out of a lot of these smart watch reviews (not just yours, but others) is a report on the vibration. Is it strong enough to wake you up or get your attention? cant wait to get my hands on those new iconx!
I wish pebble was not bought by fitbit, i think it would make the best selling and most loved smart watches.
Holy crap IM BATMAN I know right, I wish Pebble was still here, but I think I've found a near perfect replacement. They amazfit paste, and bit are excellent Pebble replacements, although the amazfit bit still hasn't released here in the west yet.
SleepyHalos hmm didn't check em out, thanks for the info.
Holy crap IM BATMAN No problem.
Mr Mobile thanks a lot for this video. Will you plan to test Apple watch serie 3?
your presentation is awesome .Keep up the good work Michael :)Mrmobile rocks
This watch is awesome I got it for my birthday. Also Great review Michael!
Michael Absolutely Love your reviews and again this one is no exception. The only downside is I want everything I see or is it?😁✌👍😎
Hi mrmobile!!!! Just want to wish you a great day! Stay awesome 👍
As always, a well done review. I thoroughly enjoy these videos.
Really good reviews...watched many but this is the best and most accurate
I don’t know what to type... have a good day everyone
And you bud
Just got my icon x 2018 an there a major go sound quality and battery have been great so far

This is one channel where I can confidently like a video before I watch it. BTW does this work with non Samsung devices?
+KingSam Thank you! And yes, it does.
Excellent review ! Nice watch, great battery life, there needs to be a next generation pebble. The buds look great. I still like my Sony extra bass buds. Thanks for the review
YES! I’ve been waiting for this!
the watch to earphone can be done on apple watch and airpods too
Looks great but i'm not sure about using Tizen over Android Wear...
Thank you for your thoural review. I always appreciate honesty.
Hey Captain, do you plan to review any of the Android one phones (xiaomi A1 or Moto X4) ? Personally loved all your moto reviews till date .
do the under Armour and speedo apps work well
please reply soon
based on what you say i will buy one today
I'm considering buying either a Ticwatch Express or a Samsung Gear Sport. Which should I buy?
Please please please compare the Gear Sport to the LG Sport.... you own one already and I'm deciding between the two as are many here.
Which true wireless earbuds would be recommended for more of casual use and less for fitness.
Hey Michael. I hope you'll do a review on Vue smart glasses when it's finally released :D
Michael Fisher, I love your videos since the days of Pocketnow. Keep it up.
Hey Michael, will you do a review on the new gear fit 2 pro as well?
Michael.. you forgot to mention the lack of speaker as a downside... How could you e.g. use the alarm when it is charging?
Within the first 15 minutes :")
Awesome MrMobile :D
Funny that you said it OVER estimated calories. Every other Samsung wearable (and phone) has underestimated/not taken heart rate into effect. I got my Gear S2 Classic for 100 USD on eBay. Best purchase ever! And it works for sport just as well as looking great and being small.
You can still hear the resentment over Pebble in your voice. 😂
Cool Glasses! Which?
Could you do another roundup of smart watches for about 200 / in general?
Especially tic watches e and s because I can hardly find any reviews on it.
Still happy with my Gear S2. A smartwatch without cellular connectivity does not meet my needs. My smartwatch keeps me connected to my work phone on my day off when I refuse to carry my phone. It is a nice convenience that a lot of people may not understand.
Brian Mills Apple watches & Gear Ss are great companions (:
Is android wear worth the time? I have an S3 which is fine but I miss the truly expansive and well built options from my Pebbles.
The watch is mad comfortable got it on now.
Only real difference between S3 and Sport is swimming and smaller¿ Thinking about buying but confused about which one to buy. Not a fitness guy just play golf and yes want something to count steps. Can you list the difference s between the two?
I just returned my Android Wear 2 LG Watch Style for a Pebble Time last week. I love my Pebble so much more than the LG Watch.
great video how do you compare the gear sport to the frontier ? is the sport better ??
+jay brooks The S3 Frontier is better in almost every sense. If you don't mind the size, I'd get that one.
Mr.Mobile Is the gear sport compatible with OnePlus 3. Or will it only work with Samsung phones???
I wish you talked about the sound quality of the iconx
I spoke with Samsung just today and they said the MST feature for Samsung Pay on the Samsung Sport is coming in an update "soon" which allows you to use it with the magnetic strip on ANY PoS like Samsung phones and the Gear S3
The IconX wireless Buds had better features that most buds out today in 2024. Samsung needs to run that back.
The iconX distorts like crazy with higher frequencies
Did miss the part how the earbuds sounded. Is it comparable too lets say $100 wired earbuds or more like $20 earbuds. I hope it's better than Airpods.
I have a wireless Samsung Level Over headphone which sounds great because of APTX.
For someone who just wants a smart watch with fitness tracking, what would you recommend? Gear s3, gear sport or something else entirely?
How's noise cancellation during phone calls? I'm really curious about these but considering Plantronics since a drive a noisy truck.
I Think Samsung should use their Tizen OS on there phone what do you think 🤔
Do you have any info on when the Gear s3 will get Tizen 3.0 update?
Hi, Mr.Moblie can u plz do a video on the gear s3 vs the gear sport because I'm trying to decide which one I should get. Also can the gear sport take calls off of Bluetooth or no?Like actually talk to the person via the sport.
I think i'll be waiting for the next sport. Hoping they include a speaker.
Really sorry but there was never a sport 2 😅, but the watch active series are a continuation of the gear sport!!
Hello sir, im from the phikippines and there is no LTE version here of the gear s3. I just want to ask you one thing about the version with wifi and BT. Will it still work that you can receive calls and mesafes and other notifications even if your phone and s3 is connected with different wifi? I hope you can answer my question. Thanks alot and more power to you sir.
But the real question is: does the watch work as well with your key one as it does with the latest Samsung flagship?
i have the Galaxy watch, and love it so much
Can the Samsung new watch work on any Android? Do you loose features over using it on a Samsung phone?
Is gear iconx less effective with other android devices, is the sound worse or connectivity worse?
Hey mrmobile can you plz review the allcall w1 smartwatch that would be great.
I use this one for work and the gym, excellent and rugged. S3 frontier was supposed to be high end and rugged but NOPE it scuffs way too easily on the bezel.
How's the latency on those headphones? Is it possible to use them with Gear VR?
Can you connect the gear sport and iconx togather to Samsung gear?
if you accept call on watch can you use ear buds to take...
I think I'm getting gear sport for Christmas 😀😀😀😀
Are you going review the pixel book?
What camera did you use to film yourself at 5:00? The stabilizator was insane
I saw a review that was a year old for these earbuds. Are these the same model or newer model? And what’s the difference?
You're not wearing the iconx right. The wingtip is supposed to go under the ear lobe
I want to know if gear sport support call and receive calls?
Does it have an exynos 7270 or an 3250 processor? Samsung website mentions it to be 7270 whereas a lot of tech sites say its an 3250
Any reviews for the ticwatch S or E?
Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve been waiting for totally wireless buds for like 10 years. They just sound like an obvious product idea that was long overdue.

Shikhar Shah huh you seemed to totally contradict yourself you liked ever thing about them yet you returned them wtf

They’re an amazing product in theory, I just didn’t have faith in them in the long run. I just hope Samsung has done a better overall job this time
Will you be doing the TicWatch S&E?
Hello, do u know if i can connect gear sport + iconx + samsung s8 all at the same time?
that training coach on IconX is really annoying. I am looking forward to find a way to disable it.
Michael, could you please tell, if i need a tracking device for my runs only, should I choose gear sport or gear fit 2 pro? I've watched your reviews and functionality looks the same to me.
