  • Cody Kelley from Small Town Hunting tells us about the most popular Scott Archery release that no one knows about: the Longhorn Hex.
For Cody, every once in awhile, a product comes along that totally changes things for him. Cody uses the Longhorn Hex as a training tool - using it in the back yard and one the range. Cody has struggled in the past with using a back tension release - and that's why he loves using the Longhorn Hex as a tool to improve his aiming.
The Longhorn Hex is not a back tension release. Instead, it's a two-finger release with a pivoting roller head. For Cody, this release is more of a mental training tool. Cody has used the Longhorn Hex as a tool that allows him to focus on letting his pin simply float on the target - without the panic and punch that can be associated with a trigger-style release. Cody focuses on simply pushing and pulling, letting his pin "lock-in" on the dot that he's aiming at.
Like all Scott Archery releases, the Longhorn Hex is made in the USA. By archers. For archers. For more information, head into your local Scott Archery dealer - or see the whole lineup at www.scottarchery.com.
