  • First inspection looks pretty good, queen is laying. lots of wall - to -wall brood ready to explode. Some wonky comb but they are drinking up all the resources I give them

Great Video Frank, well done, you'll be like me lifting the brood up to the top deck middle hive, to hatch out and then it will be back filled with honey with a normal comb. Stay safe, have fun! 🍻👍😁

Awesome stuff, Frank. I'm excited to see what it turns into after all the brood hatches.
The problem with the wonky comb is that the majority of it looks to be drone sized cells, which isn't ideal for colony growth.
Queen likely hiding amongst or behind all that weird drawn-out comb.
Maybe need to get a few new frames to put in place of those others so they can removed and rewaxed.

Thanks, Derek. I took some new frames and rubbed wax on them heavily. Hopefully that will help. I also added a video that shows that I pulled out that frame and found nectar bread and yes, eggs and larva in that frame already. I squished it down, then saw the eggs and just returned it. We will see what they do next week, but that queen is definitely ready to lay. I found another drawnout frame that I have at home so I’m gonna drop that in tomorrow and let her go crazy.!

@4dhoneybee107 awesome, likely all the brood in the wonky comb will be drones by the looks of it.. so scraping it off or squishing it won't be a huge loss to get the frame in right direction.
