I just got the same one in 308. Haven’t shoot it yet. I believe it’s a good rifle for the money. It’s a good brand so will see! I love the classic look. Mine is wood, walnut color and the fact that is made in America is great. Great video Sir! 👌🏻🫡
I own one of these. A stock of this quality, at this price point is unheard of! I don't think it's still in production, but refreshing in this day of stamped out plastic or whatever stocks.
"Some guys from the States say that it takes maybe 200 rounds to break them in " I've got one of these with 22" barrel and synthetic stock. When new, I shot 10" groups @ 50yds. After about 100 rounds through it, cleaning about 5 times, retorquing everything, and doing a home brew recrown, I just shot a ragged hole of three using S&B 156 gr loads @ 30 yds. I guess some of these shoot well out of the box. Mine obviously didn't.
Thks for the review. Buy the ATA Turqua in walnut or it's twin Savage 334. I have two of the Turquas Generation 2 versions. They are by far the most accurate budget rifle I've ever owned. Damn good looking too. Your viewers need to try one.
Never managed to get hold of one for test, despite asking the importers a number of times. I saw some at IWA and was impressed with the build quality and price. Such is life ...
Barrel length makes sense. Not everyone needs a rifle that can mount transversely on the front of a quad, not to mention the inherent safety issues with a shooter who is that eager to get off a shot.
@PCMGuns The plastic mag well is the weak spot. Over tension it and your accuracy goes and or it cracks. Factory QC is patchy, some good shooters plus a lot of rubbish. Cant bed the action
@mattyallen3396 Boyd's makes a new mag well "metal" and good stocks. Mdt makes affordable chassis. It has the potential. be an inexpensive tac driver.
Is the walnut stock more accurate than the injection molded?
Good luck with it, thanks for supporting my channel
