this is beautiful!! It's very touching and emphasizes on how sad the lyrics really are considering this song is based off of billie's dream of jumping off the golden gate bridge while no one mourned or tried to stop her.
I just realized the album photo is the golden gate bridge and i got such goosebumps
I can hear her vocals more clearly now 😍
it will always amaze me how mature her voice sounds at such a young age
I really likes Bilie's lyricism. I feel like in the past a lot of female artists just repeated words and wrote very basic verses cause their companys told them or it sounded pretty. But Billie has a lot of input in her lyrics and works a lot in the studio. And she really talks about her feelings, something we're told not to talk about like how she hates everyone is always doing drugs cause it's the thing to do, or how people she thought were her friends expect something back now that she has more so she cuts them off, or how here she talks about how fame isnt what she expected and wondering if she would have chosen this path if she knew beforehand how big she would be. she is just writing her thoughts out which is nice but often time the media tells us that's taboo cause we want artists to be seen as perfect, always kind and always happy people. I'm not a huge fan, I do like her music, but I can understand why she would be nominated for a grammy.

this is so soothing like you can hear their voices so clearly

This is so much better I went from not caring for the original version to looping the acoustic.

Aaw this song is so sad and beautiful! I’ve had a similar dream to this where I jumped off a building and people just walked by but it lowkey felt peaceful . (I know this comment is pointless and no one cares but oh well) ...

I think it means that she doenst want you to lie to yourself bit you learn to anyway
For some reason i always thought of it as her body floating lifeless on the water; but her mind is still concious as she's dying, due to the impact from stepping off the golden gate bridge.
I interpreted it to mean she doesn’t want to live anymore, she sick and tired of life but her brother’s telling her she can learn to live, love life again, he doesn’t want her to commit suicide. I hope this helps and best wishes! 🌻✨
