I've been to many places all over this beautiful planet, but the Côte d'Azur is simply the place to be. The colors, the climate, the cuisine, the stunning scenery with the mountains and the sea, the people and the easy goin' lifestyle, the 'savoir-vivre', the luxury and simplicity - there is absolutely nothing that compares to this region between Saint-Tropez and Monaco.
I have spent many vacations there since I came here first as a child in 1969. This place has become a second home to my wife, my son and many of our close friends. We love spending our leisure time at the French Riviera and do know almost every square meter there 😆. Those who haven't been there yet we can only encourage to go and enjoy this unique place with its breathtaking beauty.

    Hey Alux,
We live in the south of France and after watching your video about the south of france we had a lot of
things that could be aded, this is why we wrote this video idea.
15 Tips to visit the South of France :
    - stinky Cheeses- Rocamadour (goat cheese), roquefort (blue cheese)...
    - Small villages - Rocamadour, st cirq Lapopie, Albi, Collioure...
    - Castles and fortified cities - carcassonne, Dordogne castles ....
    - The city of Toulouse (airbus)
    - Mountains - Alpes, pyreenes, Massif central...
    - French Coasts -côte vermeille, côte d'Azur, Calanques de cassis, dûne du Pila, surfing spot Hossegor...
    - people eat duck and not frog !
    - there is a lot of rurality
    - the Viaduc of Millau (highest of europe) and its region
    - The St Jacques de Compostelle pilgrims' way
    - Canal du Midi
    - Tourismes Industrie, one of the biggest of the region
    - people kiss to greet each other and the number of kisses depends on places
    - the Safran is a rare spice and there is a lot of production of it
    - The war between "Chocolatine"(south) and "Pain au chocolat" (north).
    Voila !
    Keep up the great work.

The south of France is not limited to the French Riviera and Corsica but corresponds to the territories that go from the city of Montélimar towards the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains of the Pyrenees on the Spanish border and the city of Bayonne on the Atlantic Ocean to the city of Menton in the east at the Italian border.what characterizes the south of France from the city of Montélimar is its climate which is manifested by the olive cultivation implanted in antiquity by the Greeks and the accent of its inhabitants which differs from the accent of Parisians and other inhabitants in the north of France.
In the south of France is located Marseille in Provence which is the 2nd city of France in number of inhabitants behind Paris and the oldest city of France because founded around 600 before Jesus christ by the Greeks.
There is also the city of Avignon in the department of Vaucluse famous for its theater festival and seat of Christianity in the Middle Ages when resided there from 1305 to 1417 the popes can not settle in Rome because of the civil wars, so that the bridge of Avignon on the Rhone which connected until 1791 the kingdom of France to the states of the pope gave rise to a famous song "Sur le pont d'Avignon."
Many cities in the south of France testify with their ancient monuments to the rich Roman past of the region like Orange with its ancient theater.
Arles which was the capital of Emperor Constantine before the latter conquered Rome then founded the city of Constantinople, Nîmes and its surroundings in the department of Gard with its spectacular Roman monuments that are among the best preserved such as the aqueduct of the Pont du Gard, its temple of the Maison carrée and its amphitheatre;Arles with its cathedral St Trophime is a jewel of Provencal medieval art and also the largest town in France because it integrates the natural park of the Camargue with its horses, wild bulls and pink flamingos. There are also medieval cities with their fortifications of Aigues Mortes in the department of Gard and Carcassonne in the department of Aude.
Further west it will be Toulouse called the pink city because of its bricks, and the Basque country with its seaside resorts of Saint Jean de Luz where married King Louis XIV in 1661 or Biarritz where the imperial couple Napoleon III and Eugenie between 1852 and 1870 but also Bayonne with its traditional festivals like those of Gascony birthplace of D'Artagnan with Its traditional cuisine with foie gras, duck breast, wines and the traditional festivals of Dax and Mont de Marsan. And to the south the mountain chain of the Pyrenees with the mythical passes borrowed by the riders of the Tour de France, the holy city of Lourdes where the Virgin appeared to Bernadette Soubirou the town of Pau with the castle of birth of the King of France Henri IV in 1552 and the house of the Marshal of Napoleon Bernadotte in 1763 who then became King of Sweden and whose descendants still reign over this country.
