What an emotional title match. I felt sooo bad for Dick Allen but Anthony Pepe did an amazing job and he deserves it. Thanks PBA for uploading this and can't wait for Sunday's or should I say Wednesday's. :D *****
The PBA really is trying on this one to appeal more to us. They are giving us the uploads and cameras behind the bowlers to see the lanes and the ball paths. well done PBA!!!
If Pepe had not made another show, what a way to pack in everything about TV bowling into two matches. The glory of going for 300, trouble and pressure in the title match, missing the 7 pin by a mile, Allen's miscues late and striking with a title on the line.
I was watching this live with my dad. When Anthony threw his twelfth shot, he didn't know it, but I knew he had pulled it. Outstanding performance Pepe!
The camera angles by ESPN are possibly the worst i have seen in any televised bowling event dating back for a decade, what I mean by this is some of the angles are not matched up to the style of the bowler. Great upload none the less
They actually had a fact missed...Anthony would have actually been the 3rd person to throw 300 in a debut...Benoit had done it, along with C.K. Moore. All facts aside, Pepe bowled amazing and deserved that title
I absolutely hate this format. Reduced to two matches, one of which is the unlikable Eliminator style (and which all the frames aren't even shown.) However, I understand the testing to see if an hour long telecast would better keep the viewers from Sunday NFL Countdown. I guess I can accept that. I just wish it doesn't remain like this and the PBA finds some others means to help its already dying tour. The strike-only format for the World Bowling Finals, however, is just dumb.
this is proof anything can happen; I felt so bad for Allen. Not only did he give up his title of not losing a title match but he gave up the title match to Pepe
I'm a little bit confused about Anthony Pepe's release. He has a broken wrist position, but still seems to get over 300 rpm. How does he do that? I'm trying to work on getting my own release smooth, consistent, and relaxed and his seems like a good one to copy so I would appreciate any tips.
2:08 LMAO at Peterson's twitter! Never really liked the guy but he's won points with me on making fun of himself like that! And does Richie Allen really have to start calling himself Dick now? I'd prefer Rich.
Allen should have balled down. The way he wanted to play the lane the ball obviously was to aggressive and should have switched when really all he needed was closed frames. I'm sure that would have solved his problem p.s taking nothing from Pepe great bowler
+stratocaster0842 Dick brings his hand way inside the ball, and flies out and around it. Most bowlers can't see how good or bsd a release is if not in slow motion.
Actually showing off would be what Cristiano Ronaldo does every time he gets a single goal in a match. Pele is the soccer/football GOAT and the current best player is Messi.
this format sucks so bad. the normal step ladder final is much better... mainly because you get more than one game. eliminating the bottom 2 in the first game is silly. have position 4,3, and 2 play each other in 1 match, then eliminate the bottom score. then have the another game and winner takes on top seed. also, what the hell is allen doing? who uses a ball that strong on a short pattern. go with something a little less crazy, give yourself a little allowance for error
I agree with your opinion on the Format style. I think they shouldve done a Eliminator Format style and reward good bowling that consistently gets better to win that title. But going to Allen, clearly he saw something in that ball would work, and in years past we see this a lot more often than not that the player uses the ball he can trust and Allen used that ball, but just didn't work out right. Sometimes it doesn't matter what others think bout strength or how it rolls as long as its look is good enough to win. So clearly the lanes were broken down to where he needed to use that ball due to a wet/dry, over/under reaction created from the other match and practice.
#1 reason, funding in PBA is beyond horrible. No crowd, no motivation to work for a big fan base, etc.. So it comes to your format opinion, if there was enough money for them to carry out such a nice event then by all means they should've went with a 4 seed plays 3 and so on. I hope PBA finds its doors to a better outcome next time. To be honest look back at Mika winning the 250k it was the biggest price money event in the history of bowling. Living in a high taxed state such as Connecticut you would see the PBA come to Mohegan Sun back in the day, what a crowd that was.
format is the worst but the only way to save money. I like the old cheetah pattern when there was no such thing as moving left. If any watched the 2014 World Mens Championships, ther are so many better bowlers out there than Pepe...
These averages are ridiculous people averaging 244 you won't average 244 where I Bowl on any oil pattern very hard to carry consistent 7 and 10 pins the side boards are dead
Let's not take anything from Liz Johnson. The women CANNOT keep up with the men in terms of revs and power, so to make it as far as she did is impressive.
For those who don't remember the split @ 37:52 Jason Belmonte picked up live on television last year during the USBC Masters. He seriously made it look sooo easy. ua-cam.com/video/vkR12W4VQ6A/v-deo.html *****

Tough to lose that way...none the less. Congrats to Anthony, the door swung open and he walked through. Great moment for a great kid!
Great bowling Dick, always tough when a leftie is on fire and right side gets beat up
Gez Lawson, us lefties get it rough, though, when there's a ton of us on the same lane, lol.
Great job in league this year hope to see u dominate again very soon!
+bosoxdanc and right handers have it easy right? Lol
Class act, Dick. Very cool of you to say that!

Definitely can see the difference in coverage from this years to last.
thanks for uploading :)
Thank you so much for uploading these. Not always able to watch live on ESPN.
Now THAT is what I call a bowling form = Anthony Pepe. Not surprised he won, he deserved it all the way.
He will have a great PBA Future
Ty so much for the upload. Been missing all these videos for a while now. Really2 appreciate it. Cheers from singapore
I have been at the alley when Dick Allen was bowling. I have seen him twice and I know his parents pretty well. He bowls at Royal Z Lanes in Columbia.
Great format!!!! Anthony pepe is the best!!
The camera angles by ESPN are possibly the worst i have seen in any televised bowling event dating back for a decade, what I mean by this is some of the angles are not matched up to the style of the bowler. Great upload none the less
17:30
That would have made the 7-10 split...
+EPICGUYDUDE that would've been awesome
yeah; most likely
She almost left the 7-10, too
If rob stone were here, he'd say "THE BO DEREK, PERFECT 10!!"
+Casey Hoyt yeah You Remember That
That’s super nice off dom, wish they would still show beat the pro on tv like b4. It was super fun to see
Allen took this with some major class.
They actually had a fact missed...Anthony would have actually been the 3rd person to throw 300 in a debut...Benoit had done it, along with C.K. Moore. All facts aside, Pepe bowled amazing and deserved that title
This guy has a lot of spirit, if anyone was to win it, I'm glad it was him!
Wishing brad would have won, he's my boss, great guy
Thank you for the upload will you be doing these every week?
yes they will; every Wednesday around 10pm pacific or roughly 72 hours after the broadcast
Damn, am I the only one crying, too? Fuck that was intense.
Excellent performance. Ever since Buddies Pro Shop I've liked his form as a leftie. Great Job Anthony Pepe.
17:29 Deadwood
19:37 295 game
41:26 After 2 splits later, it results as a bad break (7-10 split)
Wow, what a back and forth final match. I love to see people put their best out there, but it sure makes it exciting to see them falter as well.
That was a great debut

StarryAqua true
Loved this, but I'm disheartened that this show had been reduced to 2 matches?? A 3 person shootout, and then the championship match? Wow.
Way to go, Ryan Howard from The Office
Hi, Cerell!
Well deserved for Pepe, the win sure makes up for the bad shot on the 12th ball in the first game!
Why is there always just Del Ballard Jr. randomly every time?
41:26 OMFG......
this is proof anything can happen; I felt so bad for Allen. Not only did he give up his title of not losing a title match but he gave up the title match to Pepe
Wolfman12395
Wolfman12395 p
Is the blue actually on the lane or just so tv people can see the pattern
It's actually on the lane. Blue dye is mixed in with the oil prior to applying the oil to the lane.
I will be there some day... Some day...
Eliminator format would b better haha

Completely deserved, and very well done Anthony :)
5:45 old man running in seats lol
Ryan Howard is a pretty good bowler !

AWWWWW YISSSS!

Am I the only one that hates Angelo's and Allen's approaches? Allen has a horrible release and Angelo just drops the ball
I'm with you on hating Brad Angelo but honestly Dick Allen is my favorite bowler
im dying to know how anyone with a PBA title has a horrible release
+stratocaster0842 Dick brings his hand way inside the ball, and flies out and around it. Most bowlers can't see how good or bsd a release is if not in slow motion.
19:24 dude in hoodie on right shoulder in stands
19:38 Anthony Pepe leaves a 2-4-6-7-8 split on the 12th shot for 295.
the title match was exciting and very close
Andrew Phillips well you already gave out the winner, so tell me what would be exciting about the final match asshat
congrats Pepe!
nah, i don't like Pepe that much (actually, not at all)
Anthony looks like Dave escamilla
Anthony Pepe almost shot 300 in the shootout match, but he threw some clutch strikes to came from behind to win the Cheetah Championship
Andrew Phillips spoiler alert from asshole Phillips
43:38-43:39 Pepe knows he won it
well its the first 295 on tv
but it was all good cause it took out the biggest douche on tour Angelo
Go LIZZZZZ!
What song was that when pepe struck? It's bothering me because I can't think of the name.
Pepe is showling off
Official Cristiano Ronaldo pba bowling everyone shows off there skills
Actually showing off would be what Cristiano Ronaldo does every time he gets a single goal in a match. Pele is the soccer/football GOAT and the current best player is Messi.
I do like how Anthony Pepe is a weird name my name is James
YES
when they say stirke for pepe do you believe it I said hell no

+SUPERMOOS93 Even anthony pepe he uses a Strong Ball IQ Tour Nano

Oh, stop.
I'd like to see you throw 295 on your first television appearance
These averages are ridiculous people averaging 244 you won't average 244 where I Bowl on any oil pattern very hard to carry consistent 7 and 10 pins the side boards are dead
Format is crap and if you tell them on Facebook they will ban you
292>300
Hi gran love you too LA academy cory have power ranger
I wish Anthony got the 300
Christopher Melendez if he did he would have joined Bob Benoit in the history books
What if the 300 hangover got to him, then he could've kissed that title goodbye.

Anthony Pepe: 295
Brad Angelo: 226
Liz Johnson: 224
Anthony Pepe: 224
Dick Allen: 206
Pepe Wins!
Thomas McCarrick asshole
Kim Pressler is hot. :D
That spitting is disgusting and not needed.ughhh
He does it to apply brake so it is needed in his mind for him to have the ability to execute and make good shots
There is no way to bowl gay...
I stand corrected
The other players should have just thrown their spare balls out of respect for the 300 game!
He's a leftie. Doesn't matter.
