The whole Obsession album consists of my most listened songs, and Jekyll is on my top 3 list. Btw, Kai and Sehun (as I remember) like Jekyll the most on the album, and even wanted it to be the title track, if I remember correctly. I highly suggest listening to the whole album - r'n'b gold, as the biggest part of EXO discography. P. S. You're so right! Kai was sick on that day. If you watch Call me baby fancam of the same concert, you'll see him trying to fix the running nose 🥺 but he danced and sang so well! He sang some parts of DO(one the main vocalists) and Xiumin despite his illness and slayed!

They're mostly by people who are fans of other idols who are considered good at dancing, so these people either don't know anything about Kai and just write all kind of cr*p to promote their idol, or they just think that their idol does everything the right way and since Kai has a different style it's 'not correct'. Kai has been chosen the best dancer in kpop for 4 or 5 years straight, but these people are so angry about this fact that find all kinds of excuses why this title wasn't deserved by Kai... Another way the comment about his stiffness could have surfaced: Kai's BFF has a very smooth and water like style of movement (which is quite understandable, as he's much shorter than Kai and it's his personal preference) and he chooses the genres which suit this style. So his fans often point out that this is the only correct way to move, while Kai looks too stiff and can't even compare to his bff... People just don't want to acknowledge that Kai's a professionally trained dancer for 20+ years in all kinds of genres and if he does something, it's because he chooses to do so. When I once mentioned that Kai helped, gave advice to his bff during trainee days, the fans attacked me as they think Kai's inferior to their idol and can't give any advice... Forgetting that their idol is self-taught and could ask for advice from a student of a dance academy... I hope you'll never meet the awful comments about Kai under videos devoted to him... For years he was on the list of most hated idols 🥺 I just hope it has changed forever. That's what I've always been praising about him: he's practiced all kinds of moves since he was 8 years old first in ballet school and Jazz dance academy that his body learnt all the correct angles and amplitude so that he looks absolutely stunning and picture perfect at any second: you can pose and make a poster. But secondly, Kai spends days, weeks and even months in the practice room until his body memorizes the sequence so that each gesture looks like it's just his own body wanting to move so, not a planned choreography. We've seen Kai practice the most intricate parts at tv shows when there was a free moment (and it became a spoiler 😉). He literally spends months to practice choreos again and again. Since he was a trainee Kai and his bff Taemin spent the longest time dancing in practice room and even falling asleep there. Years later Kai visits practice room several times a week just to keep up.
Please, react to EXO performance at 2018 Olympics closing ceremony. There's Kai's traditional dance at the beginning! And the dance practice to this performance is another must! And let me tell you that at that time Kai's foot was hurting so much, it was painful to walk... I believe it was his ankle or sole. As much as his spine... This man gave his job all the health he had... 😢
Yes, he was unwell, you can see it throughout the clips for this concert. He has also said he was less rehearsed than he would have liked - but then he is a hard working perfectionist. Unfortunately, Jekyll was on the last album they toured so there are very few clips of it. I can't wait to see a fully fit Kai dancing this. Off on a slight tangent, Baekhyun has a similar vibe for his solo Psycho.
Don't worry about those comments. There are some fandoms, who feel very insecure when it comes to Kai. They say anything at this point and wait for something to stick. They are obsessed with Kai.

As you can see they don't stick to one genre, they've almost covered everything in Exo performances. If the choreo calls for them to be stiff then they have to just deliver it. For Kai, how can anyone judge him as being stiff when he was trained in ballet and jazz. They surely haven't seen his solo performances during Exo concert. Hats off to the brains behind Exo's amazing dance choreographies. Those Kai haters are stanning other idols and have their biases and they bash someone who is obviously great coz they feel intimidated. Kai has established himself as one of the most respected kpop idols in the industry. A lot of people looked up to him. He's been the headliner in kpop festivals in different countries.
