Love the vintage folder ❤️Great techniques. Dry brushing is also awesome. The piece you created is a beautiful keepsake. Thank you so much for sharing 👍🤩
Fabulous techniques - love them all - my favourite is the dry brushing - just waiting for my new TH Chapter 3 dies to arrive to have a play - thanks Josh for another fabby video
Great techniques, the first one is very well known to most I think. The faux emboss with the dry brushing etc is brilliant, and your make looks fantastic!
Thank you so much Josh, I really really enjoyed watching you create all those techniques and I really really love ❤️ what you created, especially the finish item. It’s stunning and gorgeous too. Now I’m going to have to but these dies. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Thoroughly enjoyed the virtual class. Have seen these techniques before, but always forget about them. It’s great that we now have this on video and can reference it at any time. Really useful, thank you. Hope there are more classes to follow ❤️
Glad you found this helpful Dee! The aim of our virtual class videos are to provide our best tips and techniques to help your crafters further along your crafting journey 😊
Ooh how I looooove watching Josh and Pete video's!! Always learn something new, or a great refresher on already known techniques.... It's a win win! Even the smootching talk lol!
I just stumbled across this video and absolutely love the dry brush and dragging techniques. I am a huge Tim Holtz, Ranger, and Sizzix fan and loved the vintage album you created with the new release. I am waiting for mine to arrive and cannot wait to play around with these techniques this weekend with some of his other dies. Thank you for sharing them!
Oh my gosh!!!! Love love Love all of it! But wow I never realized you could make black cardstock look soo cool!! Thanks Josh! I am off to give this a try! Hugs,GinaB💕💖😍
Really enjoyed the video, I love these sets, I was like you as a kid too Josh - I remember having hours of fun with a toy post office set. I was watching Tim introducing this chapter on UA-cam at the weekend and thinking how much I would have enjoyed this when I was younger… and how soon I can get hold of them now. Thank you for showing us these techniques.
Excellent tutorial, Josh, on learning how to obtain that 'aged' effect! Actually, I'm new to the whole 'vintage' vibe...yep, how does one go from Clean & Simple to Vintage? Well that I can't answer LOL. All I know is that I'm enjoying it. Thanks Josh for the education and inspiration. New subbie from Canada
Great presentation Josh. Lovely finished reveal. Faux embossing, that’s my takeaway, thank you very much. Oh, I do own all of these and also the theories die set.
Faux embossing is great, I can see it being used to decorate the file folder, as a scrapboker it would be a perfect place to put ephemera or journalling on a layout. Oh, and as a teacher I am totally with you when it comes to stationery, so exciting when the delivery comes in at the start of the year! 🤣
These are GREAT! I much prefer the sponge and dry brush techniques on the embossed tags rather than using a brayer to ink over the embossed area or inking the embossing folder itself (I know you didn't use an embossing folder but the idea is similar). I know one can use dies to emboss but I've never even considered using numerous misc. dies to create an entire area! Good grief! There's nothing like having to point out the obvious for people like me! Duh (lol)!!! I love the idea of personalizing (making) your own "embossing folder". Super techniques! TFS
Great makes Josh! I know I’ve seen the “faux emboss” before but for some reason I must have forgotten! I love how all those elements look after the dry brush/paint have been applied....they magically appear! I’ve ordered the “I want it all bundle” (because of course I want it all lol) so I will try this! This Chapter 3 is the best release ever!! So versatile and can work with any other previous releases! I also want to thank Sizzix for responding to my comment in Tim’s live....I really would love to have a full alphabet of the font used in the retired die sets “vintage spirits” and “vintage tidings”....that font is so awesome!! Sizzix products are my fav!! TYFS ❤️🦋💜
Really glad you enjoyed this virtual class Cindy! How exciting!! WE can't wait to see what you create 😀 They are so versatile and you can really put your own personalisation and stamp on you makes with this release. You're welcome! In US we call it ink smooshing. I enjoyed these ideas, but need to remember the "less is more" part. Thanks!

Fantastic makes Josh. I was going to say smoosh not smooch but it is also called the kissing technique so I suppose smooch is right too. 😀
