- Hey everyone welcome back to my channel
Today I sat down and made some specimen slides after a whole week of cleaning sorting and rearranging my studio around
In this video I'm using the @Elizabethcraftdesigns dies I also used some of my favourite distress inks and stamps by @timholtz

Fussy cutting? Did you say you like to fussy cut? I’m sitting here cutting some digitals and getting ready to cutout pages of stamped images (some tickets, some field notes, lots of butterflies). Fussy cutting is just so calming. Once at my husband’s dr’s appointment, I was fussy cutting, only to look up and see many people watching. Hopefully they were calmed seeing the cardiologist. Love this project. Love all your beautiful art. Thanks for some new ideas. Have a good weekend.
I absolutely love fussy cutting I stick on a movie or a podcast stamp then cut and I've even found myself buying digitals just so I can cut them out 🤣 I love that you took your crafts to the drs lol that's so cool and thank you so much lovely, have a good weekend too 🥰

Thank you for sharing that joy!🤗🤗 i am in the process of sorting through my craft room, no one else would be able to see any change, but after three recycle bags, one garbage bag, and one shred/or burn bag, i know ive made a difference! Plus its been like a daily Craftmas, as i find new"old" treasures that i forgot i had!
It is definitely like a shopping spree 😂 and it feels so much better after the karma is amazing when it's all clean and finding new/old bits always sparks my imagination and thank you so much for such a lovely comment 🥰

Absolutely love this project and all your tips along the way and how clearly you demonstrate everything, because of that I ordered everything you worked with, I already have a laminated, never thought to use it like this, I have to make these slides! I’m so excited for this! Yours are awesome!

I love these! Definitely understand about the karma in the craft room when it goes beyond a little messy. I have to clean and usually rearrange a little often; otherwise, I just dread going in there. Will definitely use your laminating tip. 💗

Fabulous! I can’t find this die at the moment, it’s sold out. I think I might be able to make one of my other specimens dies work. I’m going to try. You can cut your laminate before putting it through the machine so you don’t waste it. It doesn’t have to have a hinge to work. (You probably already know that) It’s wonderful that your machine came with smaller sizes though, they were perfect for this. When I first got my laminator, I laminated everything!😂. Thank you for listing your stamp sets, I always see something I NEED when I want you craft. Loads of fun. TFS!

New subbie here and already falling prey to your goodies… just this afternoon, I purchased the “Beetles” stamps and then spent at least two hours trying to find the “ECD Photo Film Slide” dies for a reasonable price… they’re on their way to my home as well…😂

This is great, thanks for showing me the distress oxide effect. I love that! I guess I don't have the patience you do, I bought printable acetate plus some insect clip art... I print the bugs with large separations then just cut the squares and stick them in the windows. Thin and light and FAST!

Toni, I took a chance and cut apart the word block and number block stamps on that Cathe Holden Sign Here set. I used a very small scissor to carefully separate the list of words and numbers and now I get a lot more use from the set.
I just love your projects and get a kick out of how excited you get over what you’re doing! I totally understand that feeling. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us!

PS - Did you know you can get *_matt_* laminating pouches as well? I think they add even more to the vintage look - the same kind of finish as vellum offers.

Yay! Excited about the specimen projects! I am a master gardener when I am not in my craft room… The field notes stamps are giving me cause to create a journal…and record my garden this year…

I'm so sorry Toni I can't stop laughing about the Entomology dies but I am laughing with you! I loathe fussy cutting with a passion and I think I would have cried after discovering dies were available. Your 'pause' when holding them up was pure magic. I love your humour, talent and excitement, it is so refreshing in our crazy world at the moment and always puts a smile on my face. Thank you so much for your videos, I have yet to see one that I can't take something from. I live in Australia so I don't think I can support your Amazon shop, they either don't send to Australia or the exchange and shipping is prohibitive, but, I would love to support your channel in some way, if possible. You give so much of yourself, your time and your creativity and I have spent many hours happily recreating your ideas. I am new to the junk journalling world, so not sure what I am going to do with all my creations but would love to give something back for the enjoyment you have given in making them.

Hello Toni, I have a question because I'm a beginner. Why using the Stazon ink on the laminate ? Could it work with Archival ink ? Anyway, thank you so much for all you inspiring creations

You could use archival but I found that it took forever to dry where as Stazon dries practically instantaneously

Does the bug die fit perfectly on the stamped bug. I do love to fussy cut but my hand because of old age cramp up when I try to fussy cut
Yes its especially made for the entomology stamp set and there also a die set called Flutter that goes with the flutter stamp set 🥰
