Love you girls! ❤❤ I enjoy your videos so much. For the 4th we always go to the Lake of the Ozarks to see my folks. Since my Dad passed on June 7 it will just be my Mom this year. She is 89 and wants to do Christmas in July sooooooo…we are having the whole turkey dinner with all the trimmings. She has even decorated so I’m sure her neighbors think she has lost her marbles. Have a safe and happy holiday. ❤

I loved the photos from Stitchcon; so glad you had a good time. You both have had a busy few weeks. Linnie, your smalls are so pretty in your dough bowl.The jokes cracked me up. And, I love the dog story at the end. Not planning anything for the 4th. Supposed to be in the triple digit temps, so I'm staying inside. Winter is coming eventually with cooler temps! Yes you guys are melting down there. Just a nice breeze would feel good. A little story for you. My husband and I went to New Orleans for a vacation many many years ago. My hair was limp and horrible so I decided (ready for this) I got a perm. Lordy I knew it would be humid but was I surprised. I had to wear a bandana around my head all vacation. I looked like I stuck my finger in a light socket. My kids laugh so hard when they see those pictures. Haha. Take care and think cool thoughts. ❤

Yes, definitely prayers for everyone who has been experiencing that. Our son in Colorado has definitely experienced that in prior years from nearby fires and its awful. Even here in Missouri there have been times when the air smells like smoke from fires far, far away.

I liked all the jokes I tell them to my husband..he just rolls his eyes at me! I hope to someday to go to a stitching retreat it sounds and looks like so much fun! Weather wise I do so much better during the winter months because summer can be waaaay to hot for me! I am currently working on my Colorado summer camp stitching for June and I am hoping to have it done this week!

OMG! I spent a year in Australia with my family. Tim Tam’s were a favorite! I remember one time I was just about to eat the last one in a package, and my father said he wanted it. He ended up chasing me out of the house and down the street before he caught me. The only reason he caught me was because I was laughing so hard. Needless to say, he ended up with the last one!! My father is gone, but you put a big smile on my face!

The sampler and most of all my mother was very special to me. My birthday is July 1st so I’ll be celebrating all through the fourth because that is the day I came home from the hospital when I was born and my sister thought I was pretty special since there were fireworks and parades, she was almost 3! 🤣🇺🇸

I'd like to start stitching winter things in a few months, but for now just enjoying the summer stitching. Our family favorite is to keep it easy and just grill some burgers and hotdogs and make a few different salads to go with.

I prefer summer over winter, & our 4th of July celebration is spent with family & friends at the marina just around the corner from our home. Close friends have their boat in the slip next to ours & we do a buffet line off of the sterns. My specialty dishes for the event are a cold crab dip & mini key lime pies. We end up with 20/30 people depending on the year & each family brings other dishes which turns into a feast, & we watch the fireworks being shot out over the York River since we’re in historical Yorktown, VA, & it’s truly spectacular! Loved hearing about Stitch Con, & Linnie, I love your finishes! You both are so talented! Thanks for sharing ❤️🧵🪡🤍🇺🇸💙

We usually have a family cookout on the 4th & my father's birthday is on the 5th. We will be celebrating #94 this year!!! Our menu requests are always deviled eggs, home made potato salad, baked beans, Cucumber & Onion Salad and burgers with all the trimmings! I have so many favorites! Don’t know how you pick. Here in Arkansas, we are moving quickly to 100+ degrees. I am ready for the winter. I love the jokes. I pass them along to my grandson. We just lay around in the 4th.

This was my first time attending Stitch Con. I think as long as you submit your registration as soon as it opens you have a good chance of getting in. Even if you are on the wait list for a period of time with that many attending each session I would bet there are quite a few cancellations.

OMG! I spent a year in Australia with my family. Tim Tam’s were a favorite! I remember one time I was just about to eat the last one in a package, and my father said he wanted it. He ended up chasing me out of the house and down the street before he caught me. The only reason he caught me was because I was laughing so hard. Needless to say, he ended up with the last one!! My father is gone, but you put a big smile on my face!

The sampler and most of all my mother was very special to me. My birthday is July 1st so I’ll be celebrating all through the fourth because that is the day I came home from the hospital when I was born and my sister thought I was pretty special since there were fireworks and parades, she was almost 3! 🤣🇺🇸

Both of you showed such beautiful finishes, and so many, they're so pretty. Thank you for sharing your great recap and experience at Stitchcon and for showing all the goodies. I'd like to start stitching winter things in a few months, but for now just enjoying the summer stitching. Our family favorite is to keep it easy and just grill some burgers and hotdogs and make a few different salads to go with.

I prefer summer over winter, & our 4th of July celebration is spent with family & friends at the marina just around the corner from our home. Close friends have their boat in the slip next to ours & we do a buffet line off of the sterns. My specialty dishes for the event are a cold crab dip & mini key lime pies. We end up with 20/30 people depending on the year & each family brings other dishes which turns into a feast, & we watch the fireworks being shot out over the York River since we’re in historical Yorktown, VA, & it’s truly spectacular!

This was my first time attending Stitch Con. I think as long as you submit your registration as soon as it opens you have a good chance of getting in. Even if you are on the wait list for a period of time with that many attending each session I would bet there are quite a few cancellations.
Stitch Con looked like so much fun! Love the winter stitch, especially on hot summer days.
