- Thanks to Pippi Peterson, I tried this out and it has really worked. Easy, simple, inexpensive, biodegradable.
FOCA Laundry detergent is available at Walmart for sure. Just get a small bag, it goes a long way.
Your videos are so clear that even I could do these things. Thanks so much.
Thanks Ginny. Get out there and enjoy. :)
Another great video. Nice to see the wife in the background. Keep them videos coming.
Thanks. I'm working on it. :)
I just got a Rockwood mini lite and am gonna start full timing soon. So glad I found your videos!!
Way cool. Have a ball. :) Stay safe.
Garland, we love ya! Really enjoy everything you put out for us.
Have fun on your next trip too.
Stay safe and God bless.
Thanks. :) I have been trying VERY hard to shorten the videos. LOL Hope you are OUT there! :) Michael
Hi friend this information is fantastic..thank you....how are working your batteries? With the solar kit....maybe you make a video how you manage the electric power when are in boondocking...safe trip...God Bless you
The 2 batteries with the solar give us great use of about all we need. I guess I could make a video of a day on only 200w of solar. :) Thanks Janio.
I sent this to a friend of mine that just started camping after buying a new camper, I too will be trying this Foca as will he.
I was at my local Walmart and found it for $3.50 per bag👍,thanks for this good tip, love your videos....hello from Maine!
I learned that from a long time boondocker/camper's video. She used all kinds of stuff but FOCA works great. I've never had a smell from the toilet. It works. Good luck out there. :)
Garland Style I have been useing Happy Camper, I learned about that from a long time boondocker aswell, have fun out there
I do mine different. I hook up hose made for cleaning to the water fitting on the outside of the trailer. Of course i don"t live in mine full time either. Just weekends at campgrounds.
Sounds good to me too Marvin. :) Thanks for the input.
That is a great idea, thanks.
Thanks Charlie. It really works. :)
OMG...your wife is so cute!!!!! We flush our tank out by pulling the hose inside and filling the toilet tank full..then flushing it out again. Then we use Happy Camper. Luv that stuff. We too, let that stuff slosh around. We were just about out of Happy Camper but one of the nicest rv campgrounds we hit in Oregon sell it so I bought a big container of it.
Thanks. LOL I'll tell Linda. Good idea on filling it completely like that and flushing. That RUSH of liquid is so helpful to washing solids out. That's why I add that extra water when I flush. Glad you like Happy Camper. If it works, stick with it. :) Michael
Thanks for sharing...
Thanks. :) Hope it works for you too.
Hi Garland, (first or last name?)
I started watching your channel when my wife and I (we too are in our 70s) decided to start researching new campers. Your enthusiasm for your little 2109s is what led us to settle on the Rockwood 2104s. I wanted to choose a top quality unit and at one time I did have a Forrest River 5th wheel. Great units by a great company!
I was a little concerned when I started seeing all the little things that were "coming apart" on your Mini but I realize that most campers need a "shake-down" and things like that happen to most units. Lately I have been watching your travel episodes and seeing all the miles you have been putting on and all the places you go it's no wonder the little MIni reacts like it does! Your travel logs have inspired us to start planning some trips for this year. I doubt we will cover the world as you are doing but, as you know, there are so many places to see without going too far.
We are expecting delivery in about a month or so and are looking forward to getting her outfitted. We will have to wait for some warm weather before we go however. 20 degrees below zero the other night!
Thank you for all your hard work in preparing these videos!......Keith
Congratulations! I think you'll really enjoy your 2104s. Glad you did your research, as did I for over 2 yrs. I made a video on that of course. Every rig will have things that break, Class A couch to a Teardrop. The more you use it, the more things will wear out as a moving home will shake everything inside! Probably the vast majority of RVs are used within a few hundred miles of home in our experience with other RV'ers. :) So they may not have some of the small issues I experience. Our little rig has really been through the grinder, so I'm actually very pleased with it's performance. I hope you get out there soon and have a ball! Thanks for watching. It's Michael Garland by the way. LOL
PS. If you or the wife have a Facebook account, look up this group "Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite fan club" . Tremendous group for support, sharing places, ideas, and so on. Great expertise on repairs, troubleshooting, and modifications. I highly recommend it. Michael
I am enjoying your videos. We are seriously looking at this model to purchase. Have had everything from a huge fifth wheel to a diesel pusher class A (full timing in both) then to a 30’ tow behind (purchased for our New England trip) and a 25’ tow behind (purchased for Alaska trip.) now in a 30’ gas Class A which we love but now figure we are getting too old and tired for the bigger rigs. But can’t give it up entirely. Love the forest river mini-lites and micro-lites. Went round and round trying to decide amongst the Murphy beds, dinette (what type of dinette - u- shape, tiny, etc) even considered the 22’ bunk model for storage. Wasn’t too sure if we should go with no dinette. And a comfortable sofa is important for us. But your videos show how comfortable this model can be in very little space. We are sold. Having a hard time finding one to even look at these days before pulling the trigger. Have fun with your full-timing adventure. Covid certainly adds to the excitement, I’m sure. We will continue to follow you. We are excited about going small and light. And are sure this will be our last rig. Thanks again.
Well you have been around the block my friend. Good choice on the 2109s. We couldn't see putting that Murphy bed up and down all the time. There isn't a thing I dislike about this model for two people and the travel style we follow. Easy to park and the dual axle is great. I hope to get to Alaska myself, maybe next spring? :) Good luck and have a super time. Michael
I do have one question for you if I may. I have been seriously interested in getting a toaster oven. May I ask what kind you have?
Check out the 2021 Rockwood Mini lite2205S , we ordered ours back in April 5, 2020, finally came in 7/29/2020! It’s a slight upgrade to the 2109S, difference is you can get it with Theater Seating instead of a couch also can get it with a dinette or a table with 4 chairs
FOCA! HELPFUL HINT from the GARLAND MAN! Be well, y'all! Cajun
Thanks Cajun! Smells good too. LOL :)
I really enjoy your channel! Learn so much from you. Thank you! Where do I buy FOCA?
Tami. You can get FOCA at Walmart or about any Grocery store. It comes in a bag. A little goes a LONG way, so get the smallest bag you can. Thanks
Another channel I watch, they put ice and water after it’s clean.
I haven''t needed to do that, yet. LOL The idea is you put in the ice, drive around and it physically knocks s..t off the walls of the black tank or pulverized solids.. BUT, you have to drive around for a while, turn corners, bounce a bit until it melts and dump immediately. I saw the same video I bet. :) Thanks Magic.
I appreciate all the content. I’m learning a lot. When we get an RV I think we’ll impediment both ideas.
Hi M-G, very informative video, as usual. Never heard of Foca. Where do you find it? Waiting out Winter here. Is this a recent video that you're heading out to camp in Winter? Newbie, Ellen
Hi Ellen. FOCA can be bought at Walmart for sure. We sold the Townhome at the end of October and live in the camper now. Set up at Picacho Peak RV Resort north of Tucson and stayed there Nov & Dec. When we left Picacho I made that video. :)
