George Michael was the best male vocalist ever. It's a shame to people who don't know his incredible songs like this, "One More Try", "Jesus To a Child", and so many many more, he has so many amazing songs, his vocal ability was unmatched and incredible, when he sang live, it was the same, unbelievably amazing. It's a shame that so many people only know "Careless Whisper", or "Faith", or the music from his Wham days. His voice and music is incredible, if you listen to more of his music after that time period. Whitney Houston was the greatest female vocalist ever, and George Michael was the greatest male vocalist ever. I've been such a big fan of his for decades. Both phenomenal God given voices and talent. ❤❤❤
Wham songs are not cheesy at all. They are a product of their time and lyric wise still mature. George was not even 19 when he started with Wham and still wrote all the music himself.
The radio stations I listen to in my city mostly play Wake Me Up . . . , Careless Whisper, and maybe one or two others only. Just like many top artists, he has a deep, deep library, but perhaps only a few are available for the stations. I don't know.

There's no one that measures up to George & there will never be! His writing ability, his voice, his amotion, his butt cheeks, (his dancing) George did It all my Friend. My suggestion is to listen without having to react. Let George take you to the place you need to go. This is George's Magic! You still have a lifetime, where George will affect your heart & everything in between! You only have 30+ years to catch up with. Were do I or anyone start with a suggestion to George? Especially when (in my opinion) every single song whether It's his, another artist's, collaboration, in concert, or even his recording sessions. IT'S PERFECTION! A JOY! My starting suggestion will be, FREEDOM 90 (MTV Aniversary Special) This one is the only time he did this type of performance & It gives you an exceptional view & sounds, unlike any take I've ever seen. Wow....Everytime I hear this song I remember I was listening to this in the car when my Mom told us our Great Grandmother passed. I was in high school. A classmate was killed in a car accident around the same time. It makes me cry, but I still love it.
When he was on the charts when I was a kid it was another one of those superstars who'd always have a hit on the charts in the 80s. (MJ, Madonna, Prince, Whitney Houston and George Michae) I truly loved and felt his music much later. This vocal performance has to be up there in his list of best. Kissing a fool as well.

George was simply one of the best songwriters and vocalists of his generation. While other singers merely sang other peoples songs, George wrote and sang hit after hit of his own. What a talent!
I had the honor of seeing this incredible artist perform back in 2008 in Atlanta at the Phillips arena. Even after all these years I still remember what an incredible show that he put on. Hard to find the words to describe just how great he was.

No-one else, not even Mariah Carey, could cover this song and make it work as the lyrics are intensely personal. If I'm not mistaken, this single followed Father Figure, where he casts himself in the paternal role, whereas in this one he's the exact opposite. If you play these two songs one after the other and listen to the words, you'll experience all the complexities of love.

Do yourself an enormous favor and check out his live version of this song from the Prince’s Trust Concert in 1993. It is pure gospel, heavy up on his backup singers, and the absolute best version of this song.

How many more analysts does George have? and why? No need to analyze him! You have to listen to him and love him, anyway, his looks, his voice, his songs and everything are perfect. It's as good as it is!
Even though it was #1 (Billboard Hot 100 US), I don’t remember hearing it on the radio like I Want Your Sex, Faith, and Father Figure (all from his ‘87 album, Faith).
I didn’t and still don’t care for the song, despite its message and his amazing voice and songwriting skills. There’s a plodding quality to its beat., which could very well have been intentional, considering the lyrics.
The Wham documentary on Netflix is surprisingly moving. Highly recommended!
