A closer look at... NECA's Aliens - Part One: Colonial Marines

In the first of a new series of videos looking at the Aliens line from NECA, I'll be taking a closer look at the Colonial Marines. To date a full line up of characters as they appear in the film has remained elusive, but the ones that were released did pack a fair amount of ordnance in preparation for their bug hunt.

Windrix isn't a character from the film, he's based on the brother of one of the lead sculptors for the Neca alien line who had passed away. The figure was made in his honor

Thanks for mentioning. After watching that movie for almost 200 times now and never having heard 'Windrix' in my life, I was questioning my mental health. 🤣

I have watched the movie close to 200 times now and consider it to be the greatest horror movie of all time. Yet, this is the first time in my life I've heard or seen 'Windrix'. Therefore I HIGHLY doubt he was an active part of that movie.

Yeah, if you look at the comment from Ultratron563 he has kindly explained the backstory to the Windrix figure - and confirms he does not appear in the film

Any idea why they never made Apone or Drake?

Not sure, but I think it's to do with likeness rights - that's why we got a 'Kenner' inspired Apone.
