I can’t even express how much I have enjoyed this series. I backpacked through the former Yugoslavia in 1977 over a month, hugging the coast, so to see the interior of Slovenia is a thrill. What a great adventure - thanks for bringing us with!
No wonder we Americans are fat! We need to be eatin Sour turnip soup for supper and cheese and bread sandwiches for lunch. Seriously though, simple, clean food w a ginormous side of surrounding beauty! ❤️ it.

I have totally enjoyed watching you hike Slovenia, country of my birth. We have been back and did Češka koča, and been on Triglav twice. We have not hiked this last video area so have enjoyed it very much. We are now seniors and probably won’t be doing anymore hiking in Slovenia. The last few years I have followed people doing the Appalachian Trail so I will have to find your video.

I m so glad you are still enthusiastic about hiking this trail and that you are both ok. I m quite happy you are enjoying sLovenian mountains so much. If you ever getting bored or before you leave the country, and I have to pick one thing in sLovenia, I suggest you to go 1 of 2 most fameous caves here. Postojna cave or Škocijan caves, it can be quite an experiance. (Postojnska jama is turisty and pricey like Bled, but has train build in the cave and the ride can be quite unique. Škocjanske jame you need to walk through but cave is registered to the UNESCO world natural heritage for a reason maybe)

My hiking adventures and these people really encouraged me. I got a book written and autographed by David Fanning. There is a picture of the 2 of you with your dog. Thank you. Your videos motivate me.
Bravo. Never too late to start on your adventures. Another book that will inspire you is " Grandma Gatewood's Walk" by Ben Montgomery. In the 50's she was the first woman to solo hike the Appilation trail . She was 67.

We love it here. It is so beautiful and the people are amazing. So kind and welcoming. It's easy to be here. We have decided that the Slovene people are very tough. They hike up those mountains, no problem.

When you camp, are you warm enough without a quilt or sleeping bag?
We have been warm enough. Using silk liner and bivy. We also have a puff jacket if needed.

Most places take cards, but we carry Euros just in case. There have been a few huts that are cash only.
