Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I'm interested in running a D2 evo on carpet at my local club so I'm looking forward to any updates on this issue.
Ciao mi interessa molto quest auto… a distanza di un anno come ti trovi? So che hanno aggiornato il modello. Mi hanno detto che è fragile è vero? Grazie saluto dall Italia
What if you polish the hardened finish on the 2 sides of the shelf- bulkhead , maybe they never meant to get that anodizing to go where the bushings/bearings seat.
Don't have this car but when you adjust the diff height the idler height must also be adjusted. Assuming the idler height has adjustments. Right off the bat the idler hight is wrong or the gears need to wear. Seems horribly tight tho. Good luck
After watching this vid, i had the same thought. Adjusting the diff height changes the position compared to the idler gear. I think the distance between the idler and diff is wrong, especially when he shows only the high position is the best, lowering the diff gets in to close (inwards) the idler gear. Maybe a bad design in the engineering process, or overlooked?
I spoke to our UK distributor, I think we have found the issue and I am pretty sure he is on top of it with HB direct. I will also post another video with and update on what the problem is
Yup had issues like that with mine I thought it was the molded bottom cover was tweeked. I also did the b6 front arm mod on mine cause the stock front arms snapped just looking at them lol!
More to follow, spoke to our UK distributor and we seem to have found the issue, I will post another video when the parts arrive. As for the a arms, I broke mine in its first two laps. I removed the 3 screws holding down the the carbon plate that are closest to the hinge pin and that solved the issue. The problem with doing this is that you get more flex in arm and possibly less steering on carpet
That is disappointing to see, you'd think with the cost it would be up there with the best. I'm sure it'll be rectified in time. Got a friend who's going to run one keen to see it on track.
I know, it is a bit disappointing to be honest but on a positive note, I have been instantly impressed by this car when I hit the track, it is very light and loads of adjustability. Fingers crossed that HB works out the small niggles soon
Agree but on a positive note, I took it for its first meeting and was really impressed. I’m sure with the feedback we have given to Answer RC that it will filter to HB Racing
For the price they ask , they should atleast be on par with Xray quality wise... But this feels like a Duratrax... Then again I never had these kinds of issue with my Duratraxs... haha

Thank you, I will be doing an update shortly

I learned not crank them down. Just untill head touches the case. Then run it for a few minutes to loosen it up
Did you contact them to see what to do

Man, I can't believe the price on these things.... do you think there's engineering that really sets it apart from the other 2wd buggies out there?

Yeah I agree, let’s see how they respond, my first impression form the car on carpet was good, very balanced and easy to drive fast
The amount of money that they are charging for this car... And still there are issues!?

Is this why they are selling for 50% off in the USA??
Or light sand paper on the bushing sides
Not good when you consider how much you are paying for this kit

At 660usd.... they should have built a few before releasing to the public

oh, great video, too! =)
Yes. a molding issue. Ive been a moldmaker for19 years. Could be easily fixed on the tool
...And I would measure Everything, before removing material from anything.....
What a pile of crap considering it’s £500 for a 2wd rolling chassis🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Just get a b6.4 for £150 cheaper or a schumacher ld2.
