- Lone Wolf Custom Gear released their new D'Acquisto series 2.0 at ATA 2020. The stand is expected to weigh around 5.5 pounds, and have a 24x17" platform.
The stand looks great but the price, Holy $h*#! That's outrageous!
love the weight, but $499! ouch!
Chris Powell u see hawks coming out with a stand 7lbs for 170
Just get the millennium m7
You've lost your mind if you pay $500 for that stand. But there is a fool born every minute!
It's ridiculous how much $$$ it costs to get into archery knowahdays. Bow $600, ( a mid range bow) tree stand a couple hundred, arrows $100, broadheads $50, camo a couple hundred, target $60, and I can go on and on. It's ridiculous. It's becoming a rich man sport
That was the most inaccurate statement I’ve ever read lol
Love everything but the price !
2.0? Is this actually the .5 stand?
yea. they just changed the name before launch. they do have a 2.0 coming out though.
On the LWCG website the 2.0 weight is quoted as 11 pounds.
I could put the lone wolf logo on a McDonald's cheeseburger and sell them for 50 bucks. Then I could demonstrate the ketchup mod on UA-cam. The new "LWCG tree snack system with mods". Then the "Beast" burger would come out and sell for 80.
craig richards you ever seen Dan cook I'll be first in line for a beast burger. 👍.
Tethrd mantis for the win! Can’t beat a saddle. Less weight, less cost and safer.
Adam Kohn watch out video of the new Tethrd Phantom. It’s an upgrade for sure.
Oh I have, but I just bought my mantis las year lol. Keeping what I’ve got for now.
Hawks coming out with a 7lb stand for 170-180 range gonna hve to check it out!
I would buy the 7 lbs hawk first for sure. You can easily make up the 1.5 lbs difference by packing smart.
And you can probably knock 3/4 lb off of hawk by getting rid of straps and using amsteel
How’d that “7 lb hawk stand for $170” turn out for you😂😂 get what you pay for
Your website shows the 2.0 weighing in at 10.5lbs?
That's $650 canadain plus shipping and duties and taxes.... basically $800. I'll pass
also, the new sticks are $300 for a pack of 4!
I would love to have the 2.0 but damn I just can't pay $599.00 that's nuts.
This is awesome!
Take my money .... somebody finally did it. A lock on worth not using a climber for. You could use 4 sticks and still be sub 15lbs..... now that’s worth it. This southern man , cannot wait until next year. Sure am glad I didn’t get a saddle
Lmao..... ask anyone who's gotten used to a saddle if they would go back.....
Daniel Smith if you had went ahead and gotten a saddle you would be laughing like the rest of us are at this overpriced POC 😂
Andrew Elliott i just don’t care for saddles. I see their benefit. But with a stand that light, it takes ge the guess away from me
Daniel Smith have you ever tried one? If not I advise you do. I thought they were a load of crap until I got my mantis. Sold all my hang ons after that
Hunt river bottom where trees are big at the bottom and skinny at the top, and everything else is willows..... can’t use a climber there , saddle or lock on is the only option. Personally I choose the lock on
I would prefer a bigger seat. That's the only negative on my older LW .
500 dollars or ruck pre reason so a bit heavier stand is no biggie. Save 350 dollars.
@@Brian-R Sounds like you may have a weight problem
@@Brian-R I paddle a kayak 2 to 4 miles. Carry my shit another two miles in and set up but hey I mean you have done it so long by now you should be in better shape
@@Brian-R Been serving this country for the past 13 years in USAF, but unlike you apparently I don't waste money on dumb shit. Hawk literally announced a more affordable set up that is about same weight for literally half price this good damn thing for half the price.
Awesome stuff but cant afford it lol
Do you know what the step distance is on the double steps?
When is it coming out?!
Price elasticity of demand. Total revenue increase through lower prices versus maximizing individual margins on sales. They'll sell some, but not as many as they could. Are manufacturing costs that high or do they think branding alone justifies the pricing?
$500 for stand and $300 for the new sticks. Good god.
I just want one.
Lone wolf is just ridiculous on their prices. No stand is worth that type of money. I bow hunt alot and spend alot of time and money in my equipment, managing our farm. We have 324 acres so it's a nice size farm. All I use is muddy stands and I think they are just as good as lone wolf and half the price. Now I do drop alot on my bow tho. Love my Mathews vrx 28
They are not "just as nice". The only thing that is nicer is the price. Lets be real here.
They may have to rethink that price
way to expensive i still have two wind walkers and love them.wish they still made them.hope lone wolf throws in a tube of grease for the people willing to pay that price ouch.
I do too and the original lone wolf mini sticks , still can not beat them.
Keep those wind walkers. They’re going for over $200 on eBay. Same goes for the loc on limits. Killed my buck this fall out of a limit that I dug out of my dads gear closet haha. Worked flawlessly.
@@willcrain6786 Lucky. I had a Limit stolen in 2000 and just replaced it by buying used and had to pay $150 plus shipping. Cables were rusted out and had to replace those also. Still, it's nice to have my old stand back.
Brian Ruelle certain things if maintained do not wear out
I paid 150 for a limit and spent another 50 bringing it back to factory safety (replaced all cables bolts and seat)
It’s lighter and bigger than this lone wolf, less than half the price, and don’t feel ripped off
Pricey but its a tool that will last several lifetimes ! Id rather pay for quality than throw away gear
My 12 dollar dove stool and feet will last me a lifetime too. Kill Um from the ground and walk home safely.
@@mikem8618 yep my uncle has killed all his biggest deer stalking them from the ground. Herters recurve, cedar arrows, and a zwickey broadhead. He's a true woodsman who can sneak right up on your ass. Never has hunted out of a treestand his entire life. He has 150 acre farm in southern MN and still only chooses to hunt State Land. His best friend John fell out of a treestand about 15 years ago and paralyzed himself. They didn't find him until 2 days later. He ended up taking his own life a few years later..rip john
Who the hell pays $500 for one lock on!?!?!? Especially one with such a small platform
Brian Ruelle no matter your “style of hunting” it is in fact still a lock on type tree stand. One with an exceptionally small platform. Even if it was the only stand I owned; and I swapped trees constantly, I could not foresee paying $500 dollars for that. The industry is getting ridiculous with their pricing.
Brian Ruelle hang on lock on same thing man. They both work the same. It’s not a permanent stand. I still don’t see how something that small warrants a $500 price tag just off saving a few lbs.
@@Brian-R STFU quit trying to correct everyone who says this stand is too expensive. The whole hunting industry price gouges and Lone Wolf are some of the worst at it. I'm sure it's good quality, but $500 is just overboard. Period. I got the money to buy pallets of these stands, but I wouldn't pay more than maybe $250 for it.. simply because it's not worth more than that. Sounds like you work for or are affiliated with Lone Wolf.
Ima city cop, no way im paying 500 for a stand. Maybe if i played in the mlb. I love bow hunting but ill stick with muddy stands & my mathews triax
Price way too high! Killing the industry
Are people actually paying $500 for a stand? Wife just asked...does it put itself in the dam tree for you? For real, could never ever justify that cost.
You pay way more then that for a bow lol. It’s machined as well.
People are actually paying $650 lol google beast stand
500 for a treestand to compete with a 240 saddle setup?? I'll 5 100 dollar stands and leave them in tree
Hey guys does anyone know if that comes with the lube also? Or are they just expecting everyone to pay $500 for that too? How bout you just pull down my pants and I'll take it dry? 🤔
Seriously guys are you expecting people, many, to pay that kind of price for a hang on? Hang on this....
now i'm really pissed!!! if i'd have known this stand was in the works I never would have bought the 1.0 model
Lmao
$500 seems crazy but Price really isnt much difference then if you buy a saddle for $250 and a Platform for $200. Its all pretty spendy these days
Saddle is much safer. And plus you need sticks. And the stand. 500 for stand? 3-400 for sticks? Rip off.
@@mikem8618 I get it, i've been running a saddle for several years. You need sticks just the same to get into your saddle! I'm just saying 500 for a stand really isnt that crazy when you look at what a complete saddle setup will cost with tether, sys haulers, saddle and platform. You can hit $500 in a bliink
I can build a wooden one with a roof and everything and heater for 400
Price is ludicrous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did he just say $499? LOL. Ridiculous.
$499!!!!!!!
Love it but almost 500 dollars noway! That's way too much for a stand of any kind! First Company to drop their price will make a killing because they'll get the Mobile Hunters along with the Traditional Stand guy's! Someone needs to get prices back down for everything, including Bows! Alot of guy's are just making their own bows and arrows. I see this Market crashing by 2022! It's just not sustainable at these prices and they keep going up!
6.2 lbs without straps. if they send them. or 90$ a pound. lol
Ehh these guys are money hungry, pretty much duped the original lone wolf stands and created a separate company taking their old name and symbol; pretty shady if you ask me. Looks like karma is kicking them in the butt... tree stands are becoming less popular and saddle hunting is on the rise. The fact they have to mention saddle hunters for a sales pitch tells you right there they aren’t selling many of these things.
My original lone wolf climber is collecting dust hanging in my garage. I got back to my roots and ditched climbing a tree all together. I prefer taking a small dove stool or something and just tucking into some brush, or using a deadfall, or just making a natural blind. Ground hunting is so much more fun, and safer. I do use the occasional ground blind as well. If I was going to climb a tree ever again it would be a ladder stand, but it’s doubtful I will do that any time soon, I’m enjoying ground hunting too much.
I mean he sold the company so he could retire. What did you expect him to do....
Absolutely. A greedy and shady father and son combo. I wouldn’t buy anything from this family if you paid me. The fact that the dad has to glance over at a piece of paper to know the specs of his own “amazing” product is sad. And the son is always up in your face, loud, obnoxious, and has attitude. They care about money and antlers.
They made a stand that is less weight, smaller, etc as a sales pitch. They had to cut costs because nobody is buying these things and they needed to save money. It’s a sales/marketing gimmick for sure. Plus they charge people the same amount of money for a “smaller” product. You get less, they get the same.
I’d say they are scared of how popular saddles have become. They will be out of business soon.
Lone Wolf treestands are not worth the money that they cost Summit is by far better for just a fraction of the cost
Too much $$$$
Over priced
Only make for rich people
To bulky for me
I may be selling my predator platform for one of these!!!
How much 3000$ lol.
