I have them and they feel extremely thick and dense at first almost like they are too dense LOL; until you give impact. As you start to give impact they start to mush into your foot print and they become the most comfortable insoles on the market. Highly recommend if not for skating, then for every day comfort. The best way to break them in would be to go for a jog so you can actually feel the impact resistance.
I got a pair of these insoles and laces. The insoles are fantastic, although because of the thickness they make 2 pairs a little too tight on the top of my foot besides that though I am extremely happy with them. I'm 40 and new to skateboarding, when I started my knees and my feet wore in so much pain all the time, I've gone through a bunch of different insoles and these ones are definitely better considering the price. They have increased my session time for sure. The laces are pretty nice, they are very stiff and can be pita to pull through a shoe depending on they size of the eyelets but they don't come undone and are still like new.
