I don't know where Walsingham is but I am delighted and profoundly impressed by this beautiful hymn! May our heavenly Mother Mary intercede and pray for us!
Ooooh.. What a beautiful and loving mother God has given us.. my joy knows no bounds when I realize that God's mother is also my loving mother.. England was once the dowry of our mother.and today ....so sad to see its current state.. may be a handful in England who still take Mother Mary as their mother..so sad..
To Dolfo 13 below-- Walsingham is a R C Shrine and has an Anglican Shrine there as well.It is situated in Norfolk, not far from Fakenham. It's an International place of worship and hugely popular with pilgrims from all over the world. I love it there.
My all time hym and blessings to our mother Mary mother of Jesus

Absolutely love this hymn, what a beautiful tune and truly wonderful words, WOW !
It's in East Anglia , Our Lady appeared at Walsingham in 1061 , but the Abbey was seized in 1538 during the reformation - God love you !
"Reformation" - that is to say, "Revolt"! God love ye!
So beautiful a hymn to the mother of God
I adore this so beautiful !!!
So wonderful I really love it as it's such a tribute to the Mother of Jesus !
More than appropriate for many a Rosary.
Some of the venerable hymns are irreplaceable.
Beautiful, I love my Catholic religion !
Protestants know this tune as "O Day of Ressurrection" or "Lead on O King Eternal."
Blessed over me
This is an Anglican hymn.
