      @RennysLittlesecret 2 місяці тому

@@ahimsainthekitchen some stand out more than others and are objectively more exclusive....meaning not "everyone story" stands out/exclusive enough to be televised or listened too lol...e.g, everyone has a story of being bullied but not everyone has a story of being trafficked...its okay to sympathise without trying to relate to other peoples suffering you know? , virtual signalling that you have a shocking story too, through youtube comments by saying "everyone has a story", contradicts the message you really trying to send. if you do have a traumatizing story that the average person couldn't imagine then go on the show, seek therapy or just man up and bury it, virtual signalling is not going to heal you unless you really have nothing that shocking to heal from, which is a big possibility 😂😂with a comment like that I would go as far to say you've had it pretty sweet apart from the few times things haven't gone your way, but that's okay as I said its okay not to be involved or relate in other peoples suffering and still show sympathy and its okay to understand not everything in this world is inclusive.

I think this is the first time one of these interviews has literally left me speechless.
It's incredible to hear firsthand from someone who went through this and came out on top, fought through it and now still fights back against absolute horrors.
Meanwhile here in Western culture we are so comfortable we have forgotten what hell people close to us went through less than a century ago. We fight each other over pointless debates that mean nothing in the big scheme, hate each other over it, think less of one another over such non-important issues that only exist because we have the LUXURY to worry about them.
I hope this story reaches many, and inspires them to be a better person today. It sure did that to me. Thank you for sharing and reminding us all what it means to stand in front of actual evil, and what we should all aspire to become - passionate, compassionate, strong of mind, positive, and free.
I hope you and your family will have a lovely life in front of you. I hope the good will always keep a better place in your heart than the bad. I hope for an absolute miracle for your younger brother.
    All the best!

The sheer stoicism and character she has is jaw dropping. Almost makes you embarrassed to be western and moaning about such menial and irrelevant things when there’s countries out there where having access to something we view as so simple such as white rice is a “luxury”.
The human will to survive, and more than this, the mother-child bond is so strong and never ceases to amaze me.

She is incredible, and I'm so happy that her voice is being heard, her story being shared, and she deserves really the best in the second chapter of her life. Sometimes truth is more incredible than fiction, and her story made into a movie would be incredibly inspirational.

Wow! First of all..... I appreciate the interviewer for letting her tell her story without too many interruptions. Listening to her story.... there's so many instances of bad things that occured, that ended up being the very thing she needed for a positive outcome to her situation. Her positive attitude and relentless courage and determination supported by her sense of purpose due to the love of her father, brother, and son can not be understated, but also her believe in herself and understanding that she is an equal among all humanbeings on earth should be recognized. Despite all the negative, there were also those tender mercies when a trafficker showed grattitude, when a son's tears soften hearts, when parental empathy, and gratitude for life earned the respect of her traffickers to set her free. To finally end up in the UK, and to realize true freedom, which finally empowered this warriror,d who had been through the refiners fdire of life, to express gratitdue by helping other refugees in her new country is the most amazing story I have ever heard. This is a story about a true hero. I really don't have the right words to express how amazed I am and how touched I am to hear this story. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this with me and the world.

I went to North Korea for a travel trip in 2015. 4 nights, 5 days. It was a group tour organised by a travel agent based in London. Flights into Pyongyang were via Beijing.
Very interesting. I remember seeing people planting rice at the airport alongside the runways. There are no cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, retail shops, supermarkets, etc. We were taken to a mini shopping mall with 3 floors and very limited choice of food (snacks only) and white goods. The 3rd floor was empty.
    Everyone works for the state.
Men serve 10 years in the military. Women serve 7 years.
The hotel tv had 3 channels. One channel continually shows movies glorifying the NK military.
The USA is depicted as the imperialist aggressor. Japan is brainwashed as the colonialist murderer. The war museum is something else. An incredible place of NK propaganda highlighting their victory over the imperialists and colonialists.
The JSA from the North is an incredible visit. In fact quite intimidating.

Like this amazing women. Smiling, and can talk abt it with full ownership of herself and what she tells. Not giving her abusers anything. Not even their despair and so on. Such an inspiration.
(Know: I know many also find it hard and tough to acclimatise, and many N-Koreans faces stigma in S-Korea for example.. But still, they are all so strong for getting through their insane escapes, and having a lot of will to live! )

The woman’s story left me utterly stunned, to the point where I found it hard to breathe at times or even move. I was almost petrified sometimes. The trials she has endured are beyond my comprehension. All I can do is form mental images, but even that feels inadequate. Her experiences were nothing short of hellish.
Her strength and courage are absolutely astounding. It’s almost beyond belief. A quote by Jean-Paul Sartre comes to mind when I listen to her ... _"Hell is other people."_ well, it's literally it.
Listen to her, makes me reflect on my own life and realize just how really fortunate I am! I have no idea! I feel so "small" or "ridicule" compared to her, so to speak. Her courage and strength are truly humbling ... I’m still in shock.

Wow I was really surprised to hear her reference George Orwell’s 1984 at 8:17
I’m paused right now and I suppose I will learn more about her and the timelines for everything during her life. Her English is very good however I have to read the subtitles or I wouldn’t understand her very well. The fact that she’s referencing the book 1984 boggles my mind in a good way. There’s no shortage of people who are born and raised in the west who unfortunately haven’t read 1984 yet here’s a woman just learning English who’s already read it and references 1984 in her interviews. Very impressive indeed 👍🏻

This should be a movie it would be oscar winning I am glad she told her story and not let it die with her. Amazing story. The power of the mind and believe in her son, got her through the most difficult of times and always chose to focus on the positives. I hope she gets a movie deal.Makes all my own worries totally irrelevant, when you know others are way worse than you, puts ones life in perspective
