Good suggestion! Big issue also, other people not watching their lanes, aka bad drivers. Sometimes it is better to take a corner or a side of a dance floor where you and your partner will be 25% unrestricted. I found it to be helpful.

Yeah, sometimes it could be hard to control the space around us! Even worse, as a Leader, I don't know if behind me there are people without turning my head, expecially when there are other couples that are dancing in a different style like Cuban and don't know the existence of Linear Style, so they "Enter the Line" that we are using, like myself at the beginning😂. Instead I always try to see the movements of other couples and then think in advance patterns that I can do WITH my Follower, Also when I dance Cuban Style. Sometimes is harder because some couples appear from nowhere, and so I need to adjust or, if the dancefloor is too crowded for a particular style, change the style😊

Yea what it really comes down to is there are conscious people and less conscious people. The various styles can co-exist if people are considerate about space and not going wild -Robin

Imagine that I am living in Norway, and the most of the people are dancing Cuban, and me with mine wife are the only who dance L.A😂😂

Very good advice that’s seldomly given in lessons. Here in Tokyo, Japan were I live most dance venues are small and crowded which results in the DJ’s playing mainly merengue if the dancefloor is exceedingly crowded

Thanks! Glad it hit home. Small packed venues can be frustrating sometimes but, hey, we gotta do what we can and just enjoy :) -Robin

I wish people would practice this type of dancing in a super crowded social…I know I do…but some A-holes think they got the whole dance floor to themselves 😡

Yea some people can be really unaware and not think about others. It sucks, but there's not a ton we can do except hope they see a video like this, I guess. -Robin

Also don't be extra with the styling if the floor is crowded.
