    I'm Posting these to track my progress as a rider, not really for entertainment. I think it will be neat to look back in a year to see the improvements I've made over time. My goal is to get 50 hours of seat time this year and enter my first race. This is my 4th time on the bike with 3.7 hours of total seat time at the start of this video. I'm very aware that my skill level sucks and I'm open to suggestions on drills and ways to improve! You guys all ROOOCK and I hope you have a great week 🤘

    I wish I had trails like these to shred. All we really have is highway on our bikes. Its fun no doubt but it's good to feel the trails.

    You know I’m very happy to see you on a bike as my dads 57 and he could be on a bike but missed the period where he could’ve gotten on and stayed in the groove but unfortunately that’s not how life went. Keep riding and stay in shape. Extra info my dad was a competitive body builder back in the day and twore muscles in his arms/shoulders RIP. Ride safe

    I commented on a video before, you’re making good progress. 1 thing that helped me was find someone who knows how to ride pretty good and have them lead the trial ride and just try and keep up, obviously don’t push yourself to far out of your comfort zone but trying to keep up like a game of chase is a quick way to learn. I went on a ride with a guy from work somewhere I’ve never been before so I was forced to keep up or be lost

    I want to see crazy riding! :) LOL, JK. I am just glad you are on 2 wheels these days. I only ride bikes. Love the channel. When we trail ride in the U.P., we bring a folding saw to clear things like this.

    Always remember to keep your middle, and pointer fingers on the clutch and the brake. It greatly improves your reaction time. Solid progress though! Also, loosening up a bit, using even braking, leaning in, and downshifting will help you tackle those tight corners better!

    I can't see your riding position so this may not help. I have caught myself getting a bit of arm pump and generally it seemed to be linked to me riding with my butt too far back over the back of the seat. I think I was riding tentatively rather than in a forward committed way. When I ride this way I find I am pulling slightly on the bars to hold my body weight which is suspended over the back of the bike, almost as you would when hanging on to a climbing wall. See if that might be contributing to your arm pump. I am no pro, but I was given this advice by a very experienced rider I know and I found it helpful. He told me to push my hips forward a bit and get my shoulders little more close or even over the bars to center my weight...except when riding in deep sand where unweighting your front tire a bit can be useful. Hope that helps you somehow the way it helped me. Keep up the good work!

    You should make a video of you re springing and setting sag for your weight will make a big difference on how bike handles

    Personally riding a rm250 in soft or hard pack terrain I always feel softer you go more arm
    Pump. Like when came down here last I def could’ve stiffened ol girl juice lol. I do like mine softer then most but def have that fine line of too soft and rebounding to easy/fast. If you look into a flywheel you might be able to get her to lug down low like you talked about in the beginning, your idle sounds mint so I doubt it’s that. But def air down on the softer soft like really air down and trust your tubes and tires ✊🏾✊🏾 But I’m telling ya buddy as a builder of the body, who had backday today, I know EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN 🤌🏾🤌🏾😈 just get use to doing a rdl while on the bike to load your glutes/hams and not your arms. Also bring your hand controls as close to your bar pad as you can, helps with arm pump and keeping your elbows up when riding . Next ride video force yourself to remain standing for um so many mins, I usually try for the first 20. And last 20 at a silt basin here in Pa. Your inner knees will get sore at first but that’ll go away and you’ll rarely if ever feel harsh pump. Just remember ya hydration and diet prior to riding ✊🏾✊🏾🤝🏾 looking more and more comfy every new upload

    You could probably find tires that are better suited for your condition that could help a little bit and maybe adjust tire pressure for the conditions you're running in

    Hey! Thumb throttle no? Iam a quad guy since 1997 and this year bought a dirt bike also, just one mod, thumb throttle, excellent, for me off course. Is a 300 2 stroke, and I like to do more enduro trails, excellent control. Just suggesting that I remember you have a dirt bike with thumb. Congrats, love your videos.

    Once you get comfortable riding the bike your grip will relax more and arm pump won’t be much of a thing.

    Don’t think you have to ride standing all the time. Tight technical stuff, over obstacles, and of course rough terrain you want to be on your feet. Agree with some others in getting your knees forward and body closer to the bars to remedy the arm pump. Doing this gets the bike pushing you forward at your feet rather than the bike pulling you forward from the bars. If that makes sense. You won’t need to lock on as much with your legs either. Recommend studying some guys racing hare scrambles to see how and when they stand and sit.

    Its funny when you talk about choppy throttle on slow speeds, i own a 05 crf 450r, and i tried a 2016 250r, it was easier to keep steady throttle on my 450 carb than the Fi 250, its like theres no mid point, nothing nothing, and WAAAA lol, keep riding man, its all about seat time 👌

    Did you go 2 clicks clockwise? I think i need to make that same adjustment. Iv been looking into the g2 throttle tamer its supposed to help with the throttle jerkiness

    • @MichaelSaboEXTRA
      @MichaelSaboEXTRA  4 місяці тому

      I went counter clockwise - made it a bit more forgiving in the slower choppy stuff but at high speeds it's a little soft.
      Haven't heard of the throttle tamer but I notice every time out, it seems smoother.

    Just takes time you just gotta figure out how the bike moves what it likes and doesn’t like and you will know because it will feel smoother and like you’re flowing also when you’re going down a good size hill don’t hold the clutch use the engine breaking I was taught to use the clutch ass little as possible

    Yo, if you're going to be pushing your abilities going to that dicy side, you should have a riding partner. Accidents are call Accidents for a reason. I prefer single track riding when riding alone because the speeds are way slower.
    My 2 cents

  • @skiddmark4272
    @skiddmark4272 4 місяці тому

    BREATH don’t hold your breath, that can contribute to the arm pump or so they say..
