Its not a downgrade if it suits your needs better & i think the customizing is the most fun part you learned some stuff from the 1st trailer now you get to apply upgrades and adjustments to this new one
One big negative about the enclosed trailer is you won’t know if a bike falls over on your freshly built quad. It would be cool if you could somehow mount a camera inside that you could view from your phone or the screen in your truck .
Nice trailer! Towing heavier less aerodynamic trailers really make your truck guzzle the fuel. A lesson I learned the hard way was superlite aluminum enclosed trailers will float in high winds. I had bought a brand new aluminum Stealth 7'x12" that I ordered and the day I picked it up, the high cross winds picked up my new trailer and put it on the side 12 miles where I bought it. Needless to say, insurance totaled it and I replaced it with 7 x 16" dual axle trailer that was much more stable to tow with in windy conditions. It was a very good trailer until a tornado knocked down a big black locust tree on it. I miss that trailer because I replaced it with a used 8"x 16" trailer that is much heavier and less aerodynamic. It dropped my fuel economy 4 mpg towing it.
Yes those trailers are top notch quality. They make awesome toy haulers too. The interiors and cabinetry and everything is solid aluminum with aluminum floors they really hold up well compared to a traditional toy hauler. Really nice but really expensive congratulations.!
And as far as your channel I think something that would do good is taking small cheap quads and trying to see how much power you can get out of them like a blaster a warrior Raptor 350 Polaris Trail Boss 325 it would just be cool to see what you could get out of them as far as engine work and clutch work on the CVT ATVs or even some small bore dirt bikes like Honda XR 200 or CRF 230 or TTR 125 or 230 I don't know if that's anything you're into but just an idea I think it would be popular because there's a lot of people out there that can't afford these big a TVs are dirt bikes to start with a lot of people start out with something small CC size and very cheap it would just be cool to see some work done to these small engines even some important polishing and head-shaving and things like that
yo man congrats on the new trailer that looks way more practical. About using the rhino straps (they really are excellent ratchet straps I've got some and they work great) I picked up my new dirtbike today and it's the first time I've ever used tie down straps, I got the pro taper ones off amazon and I swear I'll never use a ratchet strap again if I can avoid it. So secure and no slip like ratchet straps always do for me no matter what I do. Anyway just a suggestion and I hope you have a great drive out! I'm thinking about taking off from Idaho and driving out to Indiana to see you guys
Me personally I prefer a feather lite trailer but to each there own. Mine is 16ft long and it’s all aluminum minus axles and tongue. Even the floor is aluminum. Super easy to keep clean
I know the 20’ fight feel big for small trips, but when you go to big events and bring multiple machines the big trailer would be better so you have a shop with you. Now, if you can efficiently set up the new trailer then you can make it work. The only issue is if it rains and you bring the machines into the trailer you won’t have much room. If I can make a suggestion, look into one of those “tent garages”, so when you get to location you can pop up a garage, drop a converter or generator down, and you can have a garage with you everywhere you go and still have the trailer to sleep in or store machines in. You’ll also be able to sleep in the tent garage if you need to. But, the tent garage you breaks down and you can store it right in the trailer when you’re traveling or when you’re home.
No doubt the big trailer is better for what you're saying - thing is, I built the old one about 2 years ago and I've only used it once - I avoid driving with it like the plague. Down the road if I've got a bigger truck and Wallet - that might change, but I really do not enjoy toting around a big trailer especially since I usually go solo.
@@MichaelSaboEXTRA I bought an old dually specifically for hauling trailers since I pull trailers non stop for my business, so I understand having the proper truck for it. For a trailer the size of that big one I would recommend a dually to haul it. I picked my old 2002 GMC Sierra 3500 4x4 up for $7,000 and it will pull anything I need it to. It might not pull it fast, but it is comfortable and I’ll get there when I get there if the load is big. I could put on a programmer and bigger turbo and get a little more punch out of it but I don’t need that yet. If I pulled cross country more often I might do that just to have the extra power for towing through the mountains.
That was the smart move even though the other trailer is sick! But I noticed on the 2 mounts in the back they screwed the screws of the mounting bracket’s in the seam of the wood! I wouldn’t trust that. Can’t wait for future uploads!
I know right. I’ve always been taught not to do that. Maybe it was someone’s first day on that trailer lol. They may have wanted the screws to go through the aluminum either way they got to go! Lol
I understand your reasoning. I hail our sxs and 2 up atv on our 16ft open trailer. Problem is trailer is a steel deck full boxed frame with 2 3500lbs axles. My mpg drop from towing empty to loaded with fuel cans grill and all the stuff we need for a weekend out on the trail. Is only 1-2pmg. Trailer weights almost 2klbs empty.
Upgrade for sure. But you gotta do the lighting like you did in the last one! Those lights were insane. Couldn’t hurt to drop an AC in there too, won’t be that expensive and is a badass include.
I need to get me an enclosed soon so i can actualky travel to some of these places. My avalanche 5ft bed isnt gonna cut it lol. If i make a journey at some point im bringing my 521 shee, my 700 for ole faithful. And one atc250r, plus all my gear so deff need a trailer. One of these days ill see ya out there. Long haul from maine!!! Z400 looks sick, glad u kept the yoshi and not a oem exhaust. Esp being the special yoshi. Deff good call!!
Nice new trailer Mike! Sounds like you did the right thing. The old one has the aerodynamics of a house brick, & you have much less weight to have to cart around with the new one.
I’m a ktm person personally even tho ktm is for keep taking money and I’ve been watching you since I was 15 I’m know 19 and can’t wait to see the first ktm on the channel
As an owner of a construction company, I will say from my experience, no matter how much you take care of them, if you use them a lot they will get beat up, the sides are so thin, I have an almost identical trailer as your shadow master, but made locally here in Canada. After 5-6 years they look beat up to crap.
Im excited bro. Im trying to figure out the details with getting out there. Trailer is going to be sick. Money ahead too, the old trailer is money in the bank.
Excited to see another project dirt bike on the channel, can’t wait to see the monster you turn that thing into. And I think the trailer will be money well spent, especially for your needs.
id rather the smaller lighter trailer also . but i would have an AC/heater in it and lots of lighting like the other . the Aluminum trailer with a bright silver paint to reflect the sun and a roll out on the passenger side for the rain . also ive seen people build showers to clean off after a race . very nice trailer dude
Hey Mike if I was you the other trailer that you have I would park that in your driveway and use it for another workshop a mini workshop run an extension cord out to it it gives you a lot more room to work
It’s called L track or airline track. That individual tie down point should have a plate under the floor to back it up. Should be at least 500lb rating, but possibly up to 2,000 lbs.
you should do a video of you going through market place and looking at quads and bikes giving your opinion on the asking prices. i've been watching marketplace and the prices are outrageous. i've seen blaster that are trashed for 1200 or 1500 then a completely spotless blaster for 3000. why do people with trash think it's worth its weight in gold?
I have a hallmark that's similar to your old trailer. I love to, but ATM I'm pulling an open trailer because my EX wife took the truck in the divorce..
I'm sure you got a good idea but I don't think a lot of people realize how much that little bit of feet helps tremendously one pulling down the Highway
Should of just saved your money and didnt buy a new trailer the older one is a ton nicer for sure no way would i take that newer trailer over the old one
Cool trailer you should try to add a water container So you can have a urinal And a small shower As I'm watching, the video is possible to turn the bike sideways to give you more room. I would hang those four hundred fenders in my garage if you throw him away as art
I wish I could come to the badlands bash this year but I just went to silverlake so the schedule got messed up. And maybe I'm a little underaged for it.
I would have rather seen you upgrade the truck than downgrade the trailer. Oh well…seems like it will work. You can never have too much space. Alternative to selling it is you could store all your other machines in there.
Bring the grape ape since you can actually ride it you can’t ride the ktm that’s in peices it would be cool to see the before and after but still and also a lot of people haven’t seen the grape ape in person

I bet a camera inside wouldn't be that hard to do - that's a great idea
I put a camera in my toy hauler so i always know whats going on in there.
Nice trailer! Towing heavier less aerodynamic trailers really make your truck guzzle the fuel.

I saw that too and thought it was weird. They put screws on the seams all over it - wondering if there's a reason for that
@@MichaelSaboEXTRA I'm pretty sure those screws are going through the wood into the aluminum cross member. Being that it IS on a seam.
I know right. I’ve always been taught not to do that. Maybe it was someone’s first day on that trailer lol. They may have wanted the screws to go through the aluminum either way they got to go! Lol
I really liked the build series on your black trailer and look forward to seeing videos on the new trailer, should come out nice

That's not bad! I think the aerodynamics plays the biggest role. Once you've got momentum you're good it seems.
@@MichaelSaboEXTRA it's that slowing down and speeding up is tough
@@MichaelSaboEXTRA I was saying I'd love to have an aluminum just to save weight.

Do the Rust-Oleum epoxy sheuld for the floor. It looks teally good and it stands up to abuse!

Watch the frame whr the axles meet. They usually push through. Tye frame is thin and not strong enough to hold the weight
I have a ATC 8.5x16 Blackout toy hauler absolutely love it
Hey Mike if I was you the other trailer that you have I would park that in your driveway and use it for another workshop a mini workshop run an extension cord out to it it gives you a lot more room to work
When you travel make sure you use a apple airtag tracker in your trailer and on the bikes! People steel trailers like crazy
AirTags are useless

Mike have you looked into load locks. Used by truckers.
Awesome trailer Mike. Love your channel.
Could you pull stuff out the old trailer and install into the new one? Best of both worlds?
Brooooo!! I'm super excited for the badlands bash 🤗 and cool to see a ktm in your lineup
Im so excited for the Tecate vids!
I would like a signed piece of plastic ,TTR
Micheal can’t wait to see you at the Badlands
looks like a good investment! that ktm is gonna be sick!

Change your name to Michael "ballin" Sabo RIGHT NOW! LOL! Its actually a nice little trailer. If it suits your needs, then I think its a win dude.
Upgrade to the channel and the MS brand. Would be cool to see a V2 of a trailer build on your channel
Bigger isn’t always better! Save the money on fuel. When you build this one out it’ll be just as nice.
Seeing the Tecate next to the kfx 450 is neet
You should put the quads in their sideways
I may do that, but I've also got a 20x10 tent and some other big items that I want to fit along the sides.
Actually its a great trailer compared to some of the beer cans that are made. Good choice. I'm a trailer guy and I see alot of stuff
We need to see a Grape ape vs KX250F drag race
That would be cool! I am going to take the grape Ape out for a practice day when I get back from Indiana
16mpg that is terrible fuel consumption in England 😂😂😂
If I had a way I’d be out there with my ltz for sure
Saw the Tecate!
Yeah i was wondering what that was and i guess i was right lol
I have a hallmark that's similar to your old trailer. I love to, but ATM I'm pulling an open trailer because my EX wife took the truck in the divorce..

Two videos on a week!!!! Let's go
Are you gonna pimp it out like u did the other one? I’d love to see another trailer build video i loved the other one
Cool trailer you should try to add a water container So you can have a urinal And a small shower
As I'm watching, the video is possible to turn the bike sideways to give you more room.
I would hang those four hundred fenders in my garage if you throw him away as art
Now that your riding dirt bikes. You should look into a Kawasaki KDX build.

Easily could get $20k plus for that trailer. Wouldn’t take less than that for it boss. New trailer is nice too.
Beautiful !
Better than what I got so
I'd use those plastics
Are you really going to ride the ltz with the rare stock tires? Love the extra channel bro.
No he said it's going to be on display and he's gonna ride the kx250 dirtbike
Can't wait to see what you new " tray-lore....
The work you put into that trailer you should make some money off it idk how much you paid and got into it but it is def a nice trailer
Bring the grape ape since you can actually ride it you can’t ride the ktm that’s in peices it would be cool to see the before and after but still and also a lot of people haven’t seen the grape ape in person
Do you still have the banshee?
Love the new one🔥
Love the trailer but I'm from NH so pro line trailer's are all I tow
You need a bigger driveway
Big money mike what’s goin on lol
What is the latest on the Vette?
Never mind, found the video. 😂
What's happening with the Tecate??
He’s already made a video talking about it
1800kg isn’t a heavy trailer.
After this video all I have to say is OCD🤣
Really not a fan of particle board and water
Wish i could go to badlands but im 10 hours away :/
I see the tecate 4 in the back please make a vid on it soon
He’s already showed it in the video showing everything not to long ago
@@TS4ITD I know that I saw that video I just was asking if he could make a build series on it or some videos just about the tecate
Bruhh I could build that in like 2 days from home depot
That’s osb not plywood bro
🤙🤙
Seems like a prety huge downgrade. Lol
Hey, aint your ancestors came from Hungary? Becouse Sabo=Szabó is a Hungarian name.
He's a hunky
Major downgrade. Get a bigger tow vehicle
Definitely a downgrade!
I’ll see u there sabo 🦾🦾🦾
