    What an incredibly honest video. So many of the how to videos make it seem like you’re gonna get it in like 5-10 tries, which we all know is bullshit. Thanks for sharing your journey.

    Wow so good !!! I learned to do really good switch rocks instead because I’m terrified of tail stalls … purely mental and not sure how to get courageous and step back
    Onto the coping .. any tips on how you finally got there ???

      Absolutely! It really is a mental trick. I had the same issue at first and gave up halfway. Later, I realized my mistake: I wasn't lifting my front foot while moving back towards the coping. Try lifting your front foot to bring the board upwards. You might end up lifting it just before reaching the coping or right on top of it. If this happens, you'll get the tail stall within an hour. I hope this tip helps you. I'm sure you'll feel the same joy I felt when I finally nailed it. Best of luck! :)
