    I enjoy hearing Vaillant in a speaking role! His attention to detail and careful workmanship from the first day to the present stands out as one of the best features of your build. It vies with Jessica's beautiful videography and narration. Peanut as worksite coordinator and supervisor adds as well.

    With the scaffolding down, it's beginning to look a lot more like a home. It's great to see you making progress even with all your projects on the side. The Ambulance-Camper is cool... but doesn't it take away a little bit from the build? I've seen others build with containers... but your project is by far the most complicated... and the one with the most potential for beauty. Thanks for sharing this journey with us.

      Thank you so much!! We work on the ambulance here and there. Most of our time is dedicated towards the house, but we need the ambulance for hauling materials, so it's kind of a win win situation lol.

    Usually you can just score the flange with a box cutter and it will snap off. Keep up the great content! Very excited for the Laguna Beach area!

    Just had an interesting idea for you guys, but have you considered maybe putting up like a stairwell along the backside of the container home for easy walking access between container floor levels?

    • @PacificPinesRanch
      @PacificPinesRanch  9 місяців тому

      We will have stairs throughout the house one each level, but who knows how things will evolve in the future! Thx for the suggestion :)

    Have you detailed the making of the standard end doors into glass doors, I love this idea and would really like to know the engineering details involved in fitment, water shedding, sealing and overall structural strength, did you see any twisting when open or closing the doors, how about windy conditions, any issues with doors slamming open or closed with the glazing? This build looks awesome so far, absolutely love your taking on a project of this magnitude. Kudos.

    Looking good. I would not use that combination drill tap...just drill to the tap size and use self tapping screws.. if you overdrive that combination drill your taped hole gets ruined anyway.

    • @PacificPinesRanch
      @PacificPinesRanch  9 місяців тому

      We tried that on the first windows we installed and it was a disaster lol. I think the steel is a little bit too thick. Next time we will use the drill instead of the impact so we can slow down and maybe that will create less heat from the friction and work better. We'll see!! :)

    I have seen some "sketchy" scaffolds over the years, but yours is not what I would call "sketchy". With the materials you used and the way you built it, I would classify it as a DIY Industrial-Strength Scaffold setup. It always seems that removing or installing things like that doesn't look like progress, but at the end of the day it is an integral part of any multi-level build, and building a safe setup, like you have, is also a major benefit to any construction site.
