P.S. I threw all my microfiber inserts away and just use flats and prefolds for my pocket diapers.
Just started putting Evelyn in these and they fit great now. I may order some more just because the prints are super cute. I ordered singles on the Happy BeeHinds website.

My husband doesn’t seem to mind to much that I have put some girly diapers on him. I’ve been finding it easier to hide a girly diaper on a boy then a boy diaper on a girl because I loved putting my girl in dresses! But I really don’t care that much! Diaper prints are for me!!!
Now only if they had a watermelon set I would be in really big trouble! 🍉🍉🍉🍉

Yay thanks for doing this video. I bought 1 while I was pregnant and was thinking of buying more. I really like them but I hadn't heard much about them. My son is 8 months and 20lbs, so it fits him pretty well. I do use the microfiber insert just because I'm still pretty clueless on the different types of inserts.
I love how thorough your reviews are
I got Blooming Lovely and a unicorn pack for my daughter (she's under 6lb right now so haven't tried them yet). MK is a gorgeous way to fill out a stash/have a cheap stash for daycare/care providers. The downside is that if I bought all the prints I wanted, I would quickly be overrun by pockets!!
These are still pretty bulky on my baby, but I mean they work lol. I think once she gets around the 10/11 lb weight range that these will look fine as far as fit goes. And i agree! If I bought everything I loved then I'd be overrun 😂

The alva seriously doesn't fit until 12-13lbs as is. You have to do a fit hack which is a bit annoying. And thank you 😊

I’ve collected so much Microfiber and it’s so wasteful 😩
I've only been using MK since about late March/early April and I prefer it over the Alva. I wish I would've found out about it sooner. The snap placements are better and the prints are cute! Plus the pocket isn't annoying to stuff like the alva lol

Oh my gosh.. at the end I was going WOW she is beautiful. Your skin and hair just looks so perfect. lol :) Okay well, i wanted to know can you please please do a review for Cocoa Cheeks Cloth diapers or even snugabums on etsy. both are amazing..but one has the natural fibers inserts for sure..but I've never seen a video review on either. After trying different things out i wish i had started with mama koala instead of alva. And with buttons super covers instead of kawaii and alva because they just fit for longer. I have one microfiber insert, with a medium and a heavy wetter it just doesn't work for us.
I feel the same! I wish I would've known about Mama Koala sooner too. I'm starting to like them more than my Alvas.
I have the same set! The rainbow one is my favorite 😍 They have singles on happy beehinds right now for 8.50 but they're limited in prints. I'm dying for the balloon animal diaper from the circus collection. I meant to buy one on their Facebook b/s/t but it ended up being a scam so I had to get PayPal to refund my money. Now I don't want to buy any used diapers from anywhere.
I'm sorry you got scammed 😥 That's really shitty! The fluffy penguin also has a few singles! Someone shared that a page called BumBumBabies also has a few ready to ship singles! I think it's awesome that more and more places are selling singles.

Haha, you have the best review! I love listening to you, you are real and have a calming voice. Anyway, yes, being able to mix and match would be nice! They already have bamboo sets. It would be nice if we can choose which type with the price adjusted accordingly or include a MF newborn and a bamboo large. Also I found out It is still blended with MF! 😬
I saw that they recently started selling mf/bamboo inserts. I would prefer a bamboo insert or bamboo/cotton blend with no microfiber at all. Hopefully one day they'll have a large spectrum of inserts. Technically I'd prefer a bamboo or hemp flat lol, but that's far fetched. Only 1 brand that I know of sells flats with their pockets, the elemental joy.
@@JaysNest i prefer anything except MF I loathe it, but some Mama's have no choice if they have a heavy wetter that floods their diapers. Anyway if Mk makes any changes that require more pul or 100% hemp or bamboo they will have to charge more. There's a few things I would change, but overall I really like these for the price. I think it's a very good quality China cheapie from a U.S. company that's responsibly made. I've tried Sun Baby and those suck bad.
I had these diapers and just got rid of them because they leak from the leg gussets. Yes, the prints are cute but these aren't so cute when they're leaking poop. yuck! I think the best cloth diapers are prefolds, like osocozy or green mountain prefolds. I rarely have any issues with these prefolds. Only downside is these are a little too thick for the summer months, which is why I got the mama koala pocket diapers.
I love gmd prefolds! I'm loving flats with covers & pockets. Flats are probably the easiest diaper to care for lol. Usually leaks out the legs have to do with a fit issue. Do you think the elastics were relaxing? That's a common reason for leg leaks.

I got the mk diapers new so I don't think there was an issue with the elastics. I thought the fit for these was spot on. I also tried different inserts, thinking that maybe the microfiber inserts were too bulky, but the poo just leaked right out the sides regardless of the inserts. I really wanted to like these ones.

Do they leave horrible red marks on baby’s thighs like covers do? They look like they have gentle elastics.
The elastics on these are pretty gentle, imo. Willow has bigger legs and these work great

Do you have to use it one time only and wash them after since it’s a pocket diaper? Or can you just put the insert on top and not put in the diaper pocket? Thank you
Pockets are a one time use then you have to wash it before using again. These come with microfiber inserts which cannot go directly against baby's skin. You could use a prefold or flat on top of it but I **personally** wouldn't reuse it again until washing it. If pee gets on the inner microsuede then it will smell like pee and it's not wipeable like a pul cover. At the end of the day you could use it like a cover. I've heard of people who have. I just personally wouldn't

As long as there is proper agitation in the wash then yes :)
I always unstuff before I throw them in the wash though

I have a big question, why are the buy, sell, trade pages so ridiculous in pricing? I have seen Alva diapers going for $12 plus shipping? Seriously? I agree prints are adorable, but at the end of the day, the prints are mostly for the parents, as babies are too busy exploring their world, learning to do things, etc. It's so crazy to me.
Sometimes it’s market value lol but with alvas it’s usuallt because the seller is not knowledgeable in Alva resale value

Have you tried the bamboo inserts that they have now?
No, I use inserts as doublers for added absorbency. Nowadays, for me, that means hemp inserts. Their new bamboo inserts have microfiber sandwiched in them. I stuff my pockets with flats & prefolds for now.

I use a variety of brands. I like having a mixture.. I have diaper rite Prefolds and bamboo flats. I have green mountain diaper Prefolds and muslin flats. I have nickis diapers bamboo flats and muslin flats. I have imagine bamboo flats. I have a few geffen hemp flats. Oh, and I also use stretchy flats from work at home moms, too.
How do you fold the profiles for smallest size? And do you double them? How long does it normally take to be soaked? Afraid for nighttime diapering lol

Yes, I make sure that the diaper is on the right rise setting. My girls share diapers so sometimes, depending on who will use the diaper, I’ll have to change the rise setting for them.
I’m not sure I’ve heard of Texas Tushies but I’ll look into them 😊
