I love to watch your videos, thank you for sharing the whole process! The scarf turned out beautiful, great design! But you deserve a better pair of scissors ✂️ 🙏🏽❣️
Glad to see you back! Like the handle on the sley hook. I tend to use an auto-denter but that handle is a great idea. I’m setting up for a twill and love your 2-Dark 1- light concept. Happy weaving to you. Thanks for all the videos!
Floating selvedge; shuttle over as it goes in & under as shuttle exits eliminates need to manually manipulate float ie nominal but oft critical reduction in stress on that float. Happy Weaving!
Here was my reply to JulieMulie1805 a few days ago: I do it that way because it goes with the direction of the spin of the yarn. I have noticed in the past when I didn’t do it this way that slowly I would un-twist the yarn and just have straight strands of yarn in my floating selvage. That, of course, weakens the selvage yarn, making it more likely to break (which has happened in the past to me). This way I reinforce the spin direction of the selvage yarn.
I’ve noticed that you go under your floating salvage when entering the shed, then you hold it down to go over it on the way out. Wonder if there’s a purpose for this. I learned the opposite. Obviously, either way works, but I’m curious. Have some handspun alpaca that would be a nice scarf, good idea.

@ very interesting. I’m also a spinner, and understand the Z vrs the S twist in yarns. I will have to pay more attention in my own weaving! Thanks for the response!

Nice to see you again ❤
lovely
Nice pattern think colors showed pattern vey nicely
Really like the pattern and wish the scarf could be felt by hands. Fringe turned out nicely, too.
Very nice.
