Oil temps do run high on these; my 335i sits between 110 and 115 on a cruise on a warm day. It’ll push 120 if driven hard on a warm day. The high temps are in the name of efficiency, but it’s no wonder that the gaskets end up getting crispy abs leaking.
The 30FF code relates to boost solenoids. Mine kept going into limp mode under boost and chucking that code up; swapped the solenoids and it’s been good since.
I did have some random limp mode issues and the 2A87 code which BMW diagnosed as worn cam ledges and presented me with a £3.6k bill! A local indy had a different opinion and it’s been fine since they fiddled with it.
Like this collab alot, Evil GT and Mat plus yourself Chris are the best channels right now.

Doesn't matter how slow u are. As long as u look in the mirrors and hold to the right you´ll be fine. And maybe first get a passenger lap before driving yourself.

The average oil temp when driving a N54 is usually around 120 degrees anyway. They run super hot and can get up to 130 degrees under load.
again, my n55 135i runs 20-30 degrees cooler than stock oil temps. all i did for that was upgrade the thermostat housing unit. you canset the radiator fan speed to sport as well. its the stock oil cooler as well.

/Should have gone to the crown performance would have had it fixed and cheaper. 24/7 are decent but as you can see costly. As you say go out enjoy its not a race just enjoy and have fun in safety.

Driving around uk gave u some headaches, but driving on the green hell with no problems at all. I think the e82 doesnt really like beeing driven slowly...

Another cracking video Chris. Can I ask how you fitted the side repeaters ? Did you have to invert the wires as I’ve heard you need to switch the wiring around as it’s not a straight swap. ??

My N54 runs about 110-120 degrees celcius oil temp. Which is normal, I think your vanos could be that engine light as 3100 boost activation is just a limp code

Hi Chris. I used to permanently have the 2AAE fuel pump code after installing a 450 Walbro in the oem bucket on my n54, this shouldn’t be too alarming a code

I had a 2008 135i for just 9 months. I sold it because it was constantly breaking. Fun car though!

Should have got the n55. Wouldn’t have had anywhere near the amount of problems.
I’ve just fixed the 28A7 code myself on the N54.. mine caused by the cam ledge issue. Look into it Cris.. I’m sorry 🥲
