Today we are unboxing a model from Neotype watches, a brand I haven't featured on the channel yet, and their mecaquartz chronograph model called LM02 powered with a Seiko VK series of movements.
With a sapphire bezel, sandwich dial and matte ceramic bezel it is pretty original and personally I find it incredibly well designed, while the chunky case makes it feel solid as a rock.

Ok, before I saw this watch, I was just about to say, $600 for a watch with a Seiko VK64 movement that costs around $35 retail and much cheaper in quantity? No chance. Now that I've seen the watch, it's very nice, but I'm still saying .... $600 for a watch with a Seiko VK64 movement that costs around $35 retail and much cheaper in quantity? No chance. It's a nice looking box with very fancy marketing and a good build quality but there is nothing there that would make this watch worth more than $150. You can buy a very decent Chinese watch, including some nice designs for example, a new tactical frog with the same specs for $140 with a choice of 4 dial colours. Once you throw away the packaging and put it on your wrist, you'll soon realize that you've paid 4 times what you should have. It's not worth it.
Buy a Chinese watch? Lol
Have to agree - it looks so cool, but not that money cool... You avoid buyers remorse by making the right decision before you buy, and if you try to sell it afterwards, you will not get £200 on ebay...
@@lilmoris1 You can laugh but you should guess where this watch was made before it got to France.....I'll give you just one guess and it wasn't France. 😉 99% of microbrands are all made on contract in Chinese factories.

I have this movement in a Pagani Design "not-Daytona". Paid 1/12th for that one but it's been great to have that movement. I'm open to another similar size chronograph that's more legible. The Pagani is pretty but I can barely read the time on it, lets alone use the subdials :)
Watches are so delicate and intricately designed, so I have intense respect and admiration for AMZWATCH watch makers

600$ for VK64...a hard pass. Nice looking watch, but shamelessly overpriced.
Revelot has a similar watch for 190 usd. I actually thought that was a “bit” overpriced…600 USD is insane!

Thanks for showing this, but I don't like quartz without running seconds, because I can't tell when it has stopped at a glance. The 24 dial is pointless, the watch is too thick, too ugly and way too expensive.
If it was available on AliExpress for the price of a Pagani, then sure. For $600, it's a big laughable nope from me. Looks like they didn't research the competition very well.
Nice watch, too pricey for the movement they've gone for. Be interesting to see how many people actually pay $600 for it.
Website says 13.80 mm thick. Looks more like 18 mm :)
