The third creator, Victor Willis (the "Cop"), owns the rights to the name "Village People"--and he can basically go on stage with any four costumed backup singers and they're *legally* The Village People 😂

That's sort of the standard because the show moves so fast - update hosts often wear jeans or shorts under the desk. They don't usually have to stand up and Che probably forgot

I feel like the concept of this skit shouldn’t be all that funny but when you tie together the dancing, the singing, the unexpected lyrics, the reactions of Che and Jost, Kenan Thompson’s hilarious delivery of every line, and the surprise appearance of Dershowitz, it’s comedy gold!! I could watch this over and over and not get tired of it. 🤣🤣🤣

Not only have I been returning to this gem at LEAST once a night for nearly 2 months, but I have also been re-reading the comments, many of which give me almost as much pleasure as the performers themselves. Damn, the hips on that Beck! But Alex's grand jete startled me the most and made me laugh the hardest -- and STILL makes me guffaw.

Kenan really earns his money! They all sang that song with such enthusiasm and everyone backing him up makes it come off so so over the top goofy! The two interruptions from Colin were very appropriate and added to the madness!
