I was attending a clinic an endocrinologist and he asked me to speak to him a little about bisphosphonates but he had to go for a couple minutes to get a drink first. Unfortunately the medications they don’t cure and the side effects are terrible! I have osteoporosis and low bones density. 4 years ago I had zolidronic acid by vein and I haven’t see any improvement but lots of sides effects.

I have osteogenesis imperfecta type 1 and I was given zoledronate as well intravenously for a treatment that took 15min and after two years the effects on my bone density have been significant and was even observable to me personally but I will probably get another treatment within the year. I used to be given pamidronate every 3 months when I was young (now 25) but when I first had it the side effects were quite intense with a 106 degree temperature for a few days and I was hooked up to a heart monitor but subsequent treatments were fine and I guess was normal.
