Lee Pfalmer Hi!! Thanks for your comment :) I’m glad that the video helped you! This camara is very nice, I have 12 analog cameras and this one still my favorite :)
That’s amazing ! Your videos are so helpful. I’ve just bought a Canon FTb QL that I should receive soon (can’t wait I’m so excited about it !!) and I was searching videos that explains how it works. And that’s how I found your videos. Thank you so much, hope you’ll make some others with this particular camera 😃.
OMG, thanks for this awesome tutorial! I bought a ftb ql a few months ago a I was afraid to try doing double exposures, but you grant me the confidence (and the instructions jeje) to do it. Thank you a lot.
The Button under is the one that actually holds the film inside, if you don’t press it you can damage the film or move it and that will avoid you to actually do a double exposure :)
Hello Kim from Australia. As most of us know, the original 1.3 v battery for the Canon FTb is now unavailable. I have replaced it with a 1.5 v battery. Is there any special allowance I need to make to the lens settings - such as aperture et cet? Or should the light meter be reasonably accurate? i also have an external light meter as well. I would appreciate if you could give me some advice. Thank you! I love your work too by the way.
Kevin E. Hyde hi!! Thanks for your comment. I recommend to check the accuracy of the camera’s lightmeter with another one that you know if well calibrated, or also there is an app called mylightmeter that you can donwload for free. If the measurements are the same, then you can use just the camera light meter 👍🏻 if not, is better if you use an external one (could be the app).
I don’t have that version but I guess yes, they don’t do much changes between versions, if you have issues with it you can send me a message in my instagram and I can help you @kimgarza.art
llevo 3 rollos haciendo esto que aun no he revelado xD a ver que sale ese 1.4 me tiene los dientes largos que tal anda comparado con el f1.8 de origen?? I hope I actlually guessed your accent right
You guessed right jajaja, el 1.4 es una maravilla, mucha luz y el efecto del background blury es simplemente hermoso!! Cuando reveles tus fotitos me las enseñas :) si tienes instagram, el mio es @kimgarza.art
Do u take the pictures in underexp setting? I never try double exposr before, but i think the result will be overexpsr if i'm not take the pictures in underexpsr setting, isnt it? Anyway, the pictures are insane!
Wisnu Wardana hi!!! Actually, you need to expose it correctly, not under or over-exposed, the things that you need to pay attention for double exposure is that if you shoot two things with almost plane background, then probably some parts will be completely white, I recommend always choose for one shoot an objective that fills almost all you frame, in this case I used the forest, and my second objective was the woman, which had a lot of plane background :) I hope this makes sense and can be helpful for you 🎞♥️
@@KimGarza ohh.. now i get it.. maybe i need to try to take double exposed picture first and keep practicing.. thanks a lot kim! Ur tips are so helpful 🙏❤
UA-cam pushed your video to me just now, and it answered my question they apparently knew I was thinking with my recent FTb purchase. Thanks!

Hey. I have a Zenit and I'm finding some difficulties when trying to make double exposures. Do you know how to do them in a Zenit? Thanks so much
I haven’t try double exposure for zenit but let me check if I can manage to create them! :)
Wait, I get why you have to hold the button on top of the camera, but why do you have to push the button under the camera for dubble xposure?
The Button under is the one that actually holds the film inside, if you don’t press it you can damage the film or move it and that will avoid you to actually do a double exposure :)
Cuando esté truco, el contador de fotos sigue avanzando. Significa que no lo estoy haciendo bien?
Hi , I recently get a canon ft ql , may I know why my view finder can’t get a clear focus , it’s my lens problem or the camera problem?
