I have an INFP friend that won me over when she noticed that I was an empath and told me she was one as well. We were so happy! I love her sweet eye expression and her sincerity, plus she has her bed full of plush toys like my siblings and I, she even offered her husband Toothless, and who doesn’t love Toothless?! I comfort her but I have to give her space when she needs it, which for me is not hard. Funny, I thought my school best friend was an INFP but now I can see she was an ENFP, always doodling in class. She just was more of an ambivert than an extrovert. I love them both 💗

I'm an ENFP and my soulmate best friend was an ENFJ. Lost her last year due to cancer and life just isn't what it was without her. I think she was the healthiest ENFJ you can imagine, truly altruistic, warm-hearted, strong, fun, highly intelligent and sensible. The greatest friend you could find. I'm an INFP and my best friends are ENFP, ENFJ, ESFJ, and INFP. The ENFP and I have great conversations that open up our minds. When we talk, I sometimes get into this flow-like state where you forget time. She makes me see things from different perspectives and I am her emotional support. It's also true that I can't keep up with her sometimes. She gets distracted by everything that happens around her and she talks about everything that crosses her mind. It can be exhausting being around her sometimes. My ENFJ friend is incredibly loving and caring. He loves to throw compliments at me and making others feel good makes him feel good too. He's also really insightful and almost always open to deep talk. He's an extrovert but can be a quiet observer too and his observations and insights are often surprising. He can sometimes come across a bit controlling though. And he has a lot of different "faces", depending on the setting and the people around him. For me as an INFP who values authenticity above everything else, this can be a bit unsettling sometimes. My ESFJ friend is also very affectionate and loving. She was very patient with me after we met. She waited for 2 years for me to open up to her. We have been friends for a long time now and I still appreciate that about her. With her, I can be casual. We love to cook and eat nice food together, make fun of each other and talk about everyday things and shared interests. Our friendship is the one that gives me the most structure. At the same time, I sometimes feel that I can only share part of my personality with her. Also, she can be a bit dishonest (in the name of harmony) sometimes. Finally, my INFP friend - I'm actually not really sure if I typed him right - he might also be an ISFP or even INFJ. Our connection has been very deep from the beginning and our friendship has been growing very slowly and gently. We both love learning and evolving in life in a down-to-earth kind of way. When we are together with other people, we just 'get' the other one's feelings and we support each other. We see each other as very rare kinds of people who share many of the same values and we appreciate each other for that. We often go with long periods of not hearing from each other but when we come together again, the connection is instantly there again. The only downside of this friendship is that we live quite different lives quite far apart and can therefore not meet very often. I love my friends!

I think you typed correctly! We've been best friends for 18 years now and it feels like she's become part of my heart. I carry her with me wherever I go. My other best friend is ENFJ and she is incredibly empathetic, very observant, insightful and considerate. I can talk about anything with her and she always understands and validates me. Also she's super fun and laughs a lot. She's a lot more structured than me and very good at planning stuff - contrary to me. I suck at everything to do with plans or the future. She says I bring a sense of lightness into her life, a spontaneity she often finds hard to embrace... So we complement each other nicely :) Then my INFJ friend, he's very considerate and I always feel safe with him, he would never hurt me. He's respectful and polite and wants to do the right thing which is right by his morals. He's a great listener and validates me in my feelings. He's very intellectual and always helps me see solutions to problems. He's kinda hard to stay in contact with though but for our friendship, it doesn't matter. My ENFP friend is incredibly fascinating. His world is so magical. He knows so many interesting people and when he takes me to do stuff with him, it's always an adventure and I meet super interesting people, think artists, spiritualists, hippies etc. He is very, very kind and has the biggest heart I know. He loves everyone and this is why everyone loves him. He can be quite aloof though and sometimes he freaks out when relationships are getting too close. Also, he's hard to get to know and has a hard time actually expressing all the feelings he's feeling. So you're often left wondering wtf's going on, which can come across as moody (which it isn't though). Ah, I love him though. He's a fairy.
As an INFJ, it has become my habit to run to my INTJ friend whenever I get stuck reasoning my way out of things. He can easily weed out the excess emotions I've unconsciously included into the equation and clarify the immediate factors I should only be looking at. On another note, we're both friends with an INFP who can bring out topics we may have never talked about if it were only the two of us. When the three of us are with our separate peers, we can come out quiet and reserved... but bring us together in one room or one chatbox, suddenly you'd think we've turned it into an extrovert-exclusive zone. 😶

My brother is an ISTP and when I was in a shitty situation with the rest of our family and I told him what was going on, he was immediately offering for me to stay at his place and assuring me that he gets where I'm coming from. I'm an INFJ and my best friend is an INTJ. We talk for hours but I always feel like we need more time for that. I love our deep conversations. From distance it might be seen like he has a cold little heart but when he opens it, it's a whole space. He is the only one that I can call a friend and don't think about what " friend " really means. I find that INTPs and healthy INFPs can actually make great loyal friends. INTJs are the most honest and authentic When it comes to relationships though, I match well with INTPs, some INTJs, and some INFJs (*but everyone needs to be healthy/balanced and with similar values and interests at least for it to work) - INFJ
As an ISFP, having that need for connecting with other people is hard sometimes. I have met people who I have a lot in common with and I find myself thinking that this has the potential of becoming a great friendship but the other person doesn’t see that or has that need. And every time that happens I find myself being more careful opening up or expecting things from others. Oh well.
Having friends in general is exhausting. I'm an ENFP who is really drawn to INTJ, INTP, & ISFP as close friends. We can do creative, intellectual, & fun things together. Also have deep, weird, or goofy conversations. They also understand that I need to disappear from time to time and don't take it personal if they don't hear from me.
I'm an INTJ and my best (and only) friend is an INFJ. Her and I often talk about how our personalities are such absolutely amazing matches, I wonder if Frank and his research agrees. Her and I both love to look at abstract views, and come up with different ideas about things. But while she focuses on people I focus more on myself and my big picture. And she's so good at just knowing what everyone is feeling and thinking, she's the only person to ever know how I'm feeling. She's helped me get more in touch with my emotions, though we still don't talk about our emotions very often. We are also a great match, because when she talks about her emotions she likes my logical solutions. Everyone else with her just lies to make her feel better, and she knows they lie and she never believes them anyways so it doesn't help. So my logical fixes are great. And I may be an INTJ, but there are still rare moments where I need to vent and she's a great vent. We also love to talk about different things going on in the world, and what will happen, should happen, or how downright stupid people are being. 😂 Also, she has a major procrastination problem with school work so I help a lot with that.
Oh my gosh! I'm an INTJ too and my best friend is an INFJ. We were best of friends and we treat each other as sisters. She envies how logical I could be and I admire how she can get close to other people. I also often say that we are so similar yet so different lol.
my best friend and i are exactly like that. it's so great to see that intjs and infjs do get along that well. she's like a big sister to me. i always admired her logical way of dealing with problems, since i can't see the rational aspect of things when it's about my own personal problems, while i help her to follow her heart and her feelings a little bit more. i absolutely love her and she's the best person i've ever met.

Enfp here. Sometimes i talks too much, people ignored me. Remember, our feelings can be hurt, and you won’t know it, however if we fell continually unappreciated, we will slowly fade out.
I feel like I became an infp/j over time because whenever I talked about every single detail about my day back in elementary, i would always get told that i talk too much and interrupted by my bro :P
@@sophiesleeps12 the same happened to me.. it is honestly kinda sad. But in a way, thanks to covid, I became my old ENFP self :) and I feel happier. The only thing is that you learn to shut up, before I would always talk, now I just stay silent but still think a lot lol

I have an INTJ friend who looked up medieval torture devices/techniques when she was in middle school. My response was "ooh that sounds neat!" I do think that because y'all can often come across as emotionless a lot of time, people don't stop to think about INTJ's feelings before doing stuff. Once people actually get to know y'all more I think people will realize that y'all are often softies in the inside, though I don't know if my friend would EVER admit that haha -odd INFP who thinks INTJs are pretty cool :)
I have an INTJ husband and I always make jokes that if I ever go missing or someone finds my body somewhere that he should be investigated first, lol. Buuut, he really doesnt like that joke because he feels my family would believe it. I dont personally think he would ever harm me but his personality could make you think that he would know how to do it and how not to get caught. Im an ENFP btw.

Common, we all know ENFPs are the best friends to have. They like socializing with you and your friends, but they also enjoy one on one with deep connection. They will tell you the truth, but with more care for your feelings. They are the ultimate! 😉-ENFP
Yep! Just find a mature one… We can be awful and flaky if immature but if we have developed ourselves and experienced life and grown: we can be fiercely loyal and if we develop good Si, we can control the wacky ideas a bit more.

An istp here with a very close infj friend .. everything you say to an infj makes sense immediately, you don’t have to explain "what do you mean" for the 3rd time, they almost transform your thoughts perfectly into words.
INFPs, INFJs, ENFPs Best friend group. INTJs can be friends with INFJ and INTPs pretty well. But in general no matter your type sonetimes u find yourself being friend with opposite types. Also its not like the N types being friend with only other N types. One of my best friend is ISFP and she is the best :)

We show how much we care through actions. Both of us need some time to be close with other people to tell something private 'coz we believe to pour out our hearts, we need that sense of trust and comfort. Even though sometimes it will cause misunderstanding, as I admit that I'm more passive that her, but we get along very well 🥰

My INFP wife and ISFP daughter are amazing and I love their personalities so much. Also, my INFP friend (male) and I get along very well. My ESTP friend (male) is probably my closest non related friend, but he definitely pushes me outside of my comfort zone often, and it can be taxing on an INFJ like myself.

As an ENFP, I think that IxTJ types are very good at finding the "obvious" stuff around us so we don't end up making mistakes involving inattentiveness and taking us out of our flow. Y'all are our spotters and can really be grounding, too. For example, I know that when I get emotional sometimes I start to interpret the patterns I see as threats. I have this INTJ friend that is very good at telling me how it is and bringing me back down to earth before I fly off the handle ^-^' they're that "sobering" kind of friend

i think it's better for us to have feeler friend, i'm intp btw and i'm surrounded by infps, they help me with my mental health and emotion support and i give them rationnal advice, like we complete each others. I consider others thinker to be better fit as working buddy/team mate/college than close friend. Working with a thinker is really effective and time saving.

Im a INFP, bestfriend for years is an INTP, boyfriend is an INTJ. Isfps disappoint me which is sad because we truly can get along at times til its anything to do with feelings properly. My little brother and I are STP's. As an ISTP he's a tinkerer, and I'm an ESTP. Our shared passion is human evolution & perception. He does coding & electronics (he's been mapping physical locations and uploading them onto computers recently). I do a lot of hiking/camping and conservation work for climate change resilience.
Not entirely what you’re suggesting there, but I’m friends with an ISTP and an ESFP and when the ESFP hangs out with us (because of course he’s friends with everyone else) we must remove any sharp or otherwise harmful objects from the vicinity and then watch as the ESFP chases the shrieking ISTP around. When the ISTP’s not getting chased (aka the ESFP has found a spider and sent the many IxFx’s running) he’s actually reasonable and smart, so we usually help each other with class work or go into our own zones and pretend no one else is there. Before I met the ISTP and the ESFP I had our mutual friend warn them that when I was wronged I’d hit back twice as hard so I’m usually left out of these shenanigans. - INTP
I'm no expert on the subject but I can tell you ENFPs love people, and not in general (which is the easy way, to love humanity from far) but personally. They look into the real you and love you for what they find. Most shallow people will only look into the outer colder she'll of the INTJ and won't move past it. On the other hand I've read ENFPs find INTJs specially fascinating. (And pure, that one I know from close. They see them as sugar teddy bears inside. It's adorable)

With my ENFP friends, I can always count on a crazy weird day - I don't know how we end up in weird situations but we do and somehow we survive? Also, they are great conversationalists and both love reading so it's fun to discuss books and other topics. With my ENTJ friend I always have stimulating discussions (though it often ends in heated arguments lol). We're like two captains on one ship but we're childhood friends so it somehow works? She seems harsh and intimidating to many people but she's actually really sweet and loyal once she starts trusting you (also she has extremely sharp humor which is often hilarious). The ENFP and I have great conversations that open up our minds. When we talk, I sometimes get into this flow-like state where you forget time. She makes me see things from different perspectives and I am her emotional support. It's also true that I can't keep up with her sometimes. She gets distracted by everything that happens around her and she talks about everything that crosses her mind. It can be exhausting being around her sometimes.
My ENFJ friend is incredibly loving and caring. He loves to throw compliments at me and making others feel good makes him feel good too. He's also really insightful and almost always open to deep talk. He's an extrovert but can be a quiet observer too and his observations and insights are often surprising. He can sometimes come across a bit controlling though. And he has a lot of different "faces", depending on the setting and the people around him. For me as an INFP who values authenticity above everything else, this can be a bit unsettling sometimes.
My ESFJ friend is also very affectionate and loving. She was very patient with me after we met. She waited for 2 years for me to open up to her. We have been friends for a long time now and I still appreciate that about her. With her, I can be casual. We love to cook and eat nice food together, make fun of each other and talk about everyday things and shared interests. Our friendship is the one that gives me the most structure. At the same time, I sometimes feel that I can only share part of my personality with her. Also, she can be a bit dishonest (in the name of harmony) sometimes.
Finally, my INFP friend - I'm actually not really sure if I typed him right - he might also be an ISFP or even INFJ. Our connection has been very deep from the beginning and our friendship has been growing very slowly and gently. We both love learning and evolving in life in a down-to-earth kind of way. When we are together with other people, we just 'get' the other one's feelings and we support each other. We see each other as very rare kinds of people who share many of the same values and we appreciate each other for that. We often go with long periods of not hearing from each other but when we come together again, the connection is instantly there again. The only downside of this friendship is that we live quite different lives quite far apart and can therefore not meet very often.

We've been best friends for 18 years now and it feels like she's become part of my heart. I carry her with me wherever I go.
My other best friend is ENFJ and she is incredibly empathetic, very observant, insightful and considerate. I can talk about anything with her and she always understands and validates me. Also she's super fun and laughs a lot. She's a lot more structured than me and very good at planning stuff - contrary to me. I suck at everything to do with plans or the future. She says I bring a sense of lightness into her life, a spontaneity she often finds hard to embrace... So we complement each other nicely :)
Then my INFJ friend, he's very considerate and I always feel safe with him, he would never hurt me. He's respectful and polite and wants to do the right thing which is right by his morals. He's a great listener and validates me in my feelings. He's very intellectual and always helps me see solutions to problems. He's kinda hard to stay in contact with though but for our friendship, it doesn't matter.
My ENFP friend is incredibly fascinating. His world is so magical. He knows so many interesting people and when he takes me to do stuff with him, it's always an adventure and I meet super interesting people, think artists, spiritualists, hippies etc. He is very, very kind and has the biggest heart I know. He loves everyone and this is why everyone loves him. He can be quite aloof though and sometimes he freaks out when relationships are getting too close. Also, he's hard to get to know and has a hard time actually expressing all the feelings he's feeling. So you're often left wondering wtf's going on, which can come across as moody (which it isn't though). Ah, I love him though. He's a fairy.
As an INFJ, it has become my habit to run to my INTJ friend whenever I get stuck reasoning my way out of things. He can easily weed out the excess emotions I've unconsciously included into the equation and clarify the immediate factors I should only be looking at.
On another note, we're both friends with an INFP who can bring out topics we may have never talked about if it were only the two of us. When the three of us are with our separate peers, we can come out quiet and reserved... but bring us together in one room or one chatbox, suddenly you'd think we've turned it into an extrovert-exclusive zone. 😶

I like low maintenance yet caring friendships
I'm an INTJ and my best (and only) friend is an INFJ. Her and I often talk about how our personalities are such absolutely amazing matches, I wonder if Frank and his research agrees.
Her and I both love to look at abstract views, and come up with different ideas about things. But while she focuses on people I focus more on myself and my big picture. And she's so good at just knowing what everyone is feeling and thinking, she's the only person to ever know how I'm feeling. She's helped me get more in touch with my emotions, though we still don't talk about our emotions very often. We are also a great match, because when she talks about her emotions she likes my logical solutions. Everyone else with her just lies to make her feel better, and she knows they lie and she never believes them anyways so it doesn't help. So my logical fixes are great. And I may be an INTJ, but there are still rare moments where I need to vent and she's a great vent.
We also love to talk about different things going on in the world, and what will happen, should happen, or how downright stupid people are being. 😂 Also, she has a major procrastination problem with school work so I help a lot with that.

I have discovered that I personally am not compatible with INFPs just cuz they’re so in touch with their emotions and want to talk about feelings most of the time, and I honestly do not know how to react to that without offending them. I have an INTJ friend who looked up medieval torture devices/techniques when she was in middle school. My response was "ooh that sounds neat!" I do think that because y'all can often come across as emotionless a lot of time, people don't stop to think about INTJ's feelings before doing stuff. Once people actually get to know y'all more I think people will realize that y'all are often softies in the inside, though I don't know if my friend would EVER admit that haha -odd INFP who thinks INTJs are pretty cool :)
I have an INTJ husband and I always make jokes that if I ever go missing or someone finds my body somewhere that he should be investigated first, lol. Buuut, he really doesnt like that joke because he feels my family would believe it. My INFP wife and ISFP daughter are amazing and I love their personalities so much. Also, my INFP friend (male) and I get along very well. My ESTP friend (male) is probably my closest non related friend, but he definitely pushes me outside of my comfort zone often, and it can be taxing on an INFJ like myself.

As an ENFP, I think that IxTJ types are very good at finding the "obvious" stuff around us so we don't end up making mistakes involving inattentiveness and taking us out of our flow. Y'all are our spotters and can really be grounding, too. For example, I know that when I get emotional sometimes I start to interpret the patterns I see as threats. I have this INTJ friend that is very good at telling me how it is and bringing me back down to earth before I fly off the handle ^-^' they're that "sobering" kind of friend

ISTP here, Yes INTPs are the most based and I enjoy talking to them, but It's hard to keep a friendship active since we are both independent.
i think it's better for us to have feeler friend, i'm intp btw and i'm surrounded by infps, they help me with my mental health and emotion support and i give them rationnal advice, like we complete each others. I consider others thinker to be better fit as working buddy/team mate/college than close friend. Working with a thinker is really effective and time saving.

My little brother and I are STP's. As an ISTP he's a tinkerer, and I'm an ESTP. Our shared passion is human evolution & perception. He does coding & electronics (he's been mapping physical locations and uploading them onto computers recently). I do a lot of hiking/camping and conservation work for climate change resilience.
Not entirely what you’re suggesting there, but I’m friends with an ISTP and an ESFP and when the ESFP hangs out with us (because of course he’s friends with everyone else) we must remove any sharp or otherwise harmful objects from the vicinity and then watch as the ESFP chases the shrieking ISTP around. When the ISTP’s not getting chased (aka the ESFP has found a spider and sent the many IxFx’s running) he’s actually reasonable and smart, so we usually help each other with class work or go into our own zones and pretend no one else is there. Before I met the ISTP and the ESFP I had our mutual friend warn them that when I was wronged I’d hit back twice as hard so I’m usually left out of these shenanigans. - INTP

I'm no expert on the subject but I can tell you ENFPs love people, and not in general (which is the easy way, to love humanity from far) but personally. They look into the real you and love you for what they find.
Most shallow people will only look into the outer colder she'll of the INTJ and won't move past it. On the other hand I've read ENFPs find INTJs specially fascinating.
(And pure, that one I know from close. They see them as sugar teddy bears inside. It's adorable)

With my ENFP friends, I can always count on a crazy weird day - I don't know how we end up in weird situations but we do and somehow we survive? Also, they are great conversationalists and both love reading so it's fun to discuss books and other topics.
With my ENTJ friend I always have stimulating discussions (though it often ends in heated arguments lol). We're like two captains on one ship but we're childhood friends so it somehow works? She seems harsh and intimidating to many people but she's actually really sweet and loyal once she starts trusting you (also she has extremely sharp humor which is often hilarious).
My ENFJ friend taught me how to care more. She's honestly the sweetest person I know, always thinking about others first. She also loves to organise parties and surprises, and she knows many people so it's always fun to be around her.
My ISTJ friend is different from me in many ways and it's interesting to be around him and see him prioritising things I just don't understand the importance of. He's always super disciplined and likes being reliable. He always acts like he has his life together so it's fun to see him drunk and do stupid things.
