Issue with adblock started yesterday and I see that this is general. Allowing youtube resolved issue without removing adblocker all together. Thanks for the support
dude thank you so much! I was going nuts, it was so laggy and i thought it was my cpu that was causing the problem but it turns out it was just the add blocker.

it worked for a abit and made it less laggy but then found out you have to disable adblocker on youtube and it will be fixed

Thank you, I was so confused about what was causing ridiculous lag despite my PC processes not showing anything. Was driving me nuts for a couple of days. Didn't help, that it was also making my PC's main fan spin faster as if under medium workload.. likely due to some added processes fooling my system.
As soon as I disabled adblock, night and day difference and a quiet pc too.
Edit: Also seems just disabling it from being used on youtube works too, no need to remove entirely off chrome.

Noticed that it only does this for videos that has ads on it. as Im typing normally here but when I watch some big youtuber who has ads. Its completely bogs down. I don't have anything blocking on any hardware end so this is a new feature from UA-cam. Videos are loading for me but skipping and such takes time as well as typing. I won't disable mine and I won't pay for any premium. if it gets worse I might simply stop using UA-cam.
This fixed the lag but now I'm stuck with annoying ads at the start and during any vids which is as annoying as the lag.
so which ad block to use ??

It does that on all browsers if you have an adblock software running as an extension.

Thanks, disabling adblock worked. But why adblock started to cause this ? I have been using it for years. Maybe youtube does this so people stop using adblock ?

That's good that works but since I have a router side Ad Blocker, it was messing with everything even on pause mode too.
happened to reset my pc a couple days ago and then all of a sudden youtube was acting up.
i JUST got rid of the ad blocks and i can finally type this comment without lagging like a B*TCH.

You can try pausing it. It didn't work for me but it might for you!
Never had this issue with uBlock but then again Google Chrome itself just has a stroke sometimes

That's a great question! I'm sure somewhere in the background it still loads some sort of script but just doesn't show up I guess.

LOooLL, cleared cookies, delete bookmarks, remove extensions, using rtx 3070ti. Almost threw a hammer at my PC due to lag, but this fixed the issue 🤣🤣

Good question. Technically, adblock is classified as an add-on. Does Chrome support it? No. Does it allow add ons to run? Yes. Does it guarantee that all add-ons will work perfectly? No. So in its base form, chrome works with no issues. With the add-on it stops working. I'm sure the adblock team is hard at work creating a patch right now.

I guess you never update the latest Google chrome browser or you using firefox etc other browser? I discover if you on old version of Google Chrome using U block Origin working ok. I also using u Block Origin here. I discover this lagging problem come typing is on the latest version Google Chrome.

Fixed my issue, thats annoying theyre cracking down on ad-blockers.
Before uninstalling try pausing it, mine is working fine. no adds no lags

@@LetMeFixIT I have premium. The amount of ads were pissing me off enough that I’m happy paying 19$ a month. Typing is better now anyways. I have a feeling it was connecting to something else and refreshing the page helped.

This was on purpose. They made the site bascially invasive af to your pc. I can play Tekken 8 while streaming and my pc is fine.
When i open youtube and type comments my pc goes BRRRRRRRR.
They are REALLY trying their best to push people off this website.

Still to this day I'm open and fine with ads though holy shit LET ME CHOOSE HOW I WANT TO WATCH THEM..... aka let me select an option to run idk 10, 15-30 second ads then FUCK OFF for at least 2-3 hours, the main reason I use adblock is the obnoxious spam of ads on most videos.... Also this fixes any issues with X ad playing on X videos as... you know I watch them before choosing anything I'm interested in... and I mean they already know what ads to toss at me anyhow that's never changing unless I live in EU and I don't.
You can pay premiuim youtube and it will be no ads
just use another ad blocker theres a few that dont make it laggy

I thought I'm the only one encounter this " weird problem come UA-cam " when i test on Apple M3 iMac. I was... ??? This is M3 Apple iMac is not the old iMac here whereas on the old iMac i don't have this problem. Side note on the old iMac I using the old google chrome even with ad blocker turn on , no issue come lagging also tying comment on youtube is ok. Whereas come M3 iMac, I encounter is typing comment on youtube is lagging. At first I was what the heck ? Hello Apple?? later I discover yea Have to Disable ad blocker than it seem ok. I feel this apply on Latest Google chrome....They want people indirectly forcing you to turn off adblocker on UA-cam. Whereas on the old iMac, I still on the old version of Google chrome don't have suck issue even I turn on the adblocker. Summary is due to the Latest Version of Google Chrome browser , they force you turn on ad blocker....
