I'm starting to go through a similar phase right now. With the combination of university studies and the intense pressure of subjecting myself to higher and higher standards with every cover (all of which are played live), one day my rate of production will expire, resulting in the death of my channel. But seeing your journey through these 10 minutes really struck a chord within me; I realized that the people who remain even when you don't upload are the "genuine" crowd. It's great to hear from you again, man!
It's great to see that some people are still here even after one and a half year of no upload so I totally get your point. And it's really such a shame that you are going through this as well because in my opinion your quick arrangement speed was what made you totally stand out. But obviously with studies and stuff it's hard to get a proper work-life balance while uploading regularly. It would be sad to see your talent go to waste so I wish you the best of luck!
I'm so glad you're finally back!!! And you've improved sooo much! I read your description and i've been going through a similar phase for a long time.. I'm so glad that you didn't quit playing the piano, you're so talented, it would be such a waste and we all would miss you. Just know, take the time you need, don't force yourself to upload, we will be waiting for you. Also: Damnnn you played Mitsuba no Musubime sooo much better than me XD
Well done, I know the comment is a bit late but its nice to see you play the piano again. And dont look down on your improvements, just compare the scale at 8:01 with how much you struggled with these in the past... Maybe its time to try one of the most difficult pieces of Animenz ;D
Whether or not you upload, be it from personal reasons, fear, or just being busy in life, what we all share in common is that we love Anime Piano. Many of us are listeners, some are casual players (like myself), and some dedicate their lives to it. If it helps, I upload very inconsistently, even having taken a 3-year-hiatus for school and going missing for months. But still, I feel as happy as I did as a giddy little kid touching the piano again. Upload for yourself, and the people that can appreciate your playing will come. It's not about the clout. It's about the pleasure.
Damn what a beautiful story that was. Although I pretty much have the same but your words were truly inspiring. I acc found this video by accident by stalking people in my comment section today lol. And there again you left a comment which inspired me to play at the time. All I can say is no matter what you go through, always stay who you are and your music will blossom from your unique talent of expressing your emotions & inspiring others.
Mannnn why'm I not subscribed to you yet ;-; I thought I was... anyways, touching description. and I'm also afraid that this is what will happen to me as well. That's why I'm teetering back and forth about actually mentally committing to making more videos and growing my channel.... but piano itself will always stay hehe Very nice playing too. All of it was absolutely beautiful 😌
Thanks a lot for your kind words!! The video editing took me like 3 hours because it was my first time using DaVinci Resolve, I'm glad that it paid off. And also, it would be awesome if Animenz saw this video but at the same time I would be ashamed because this performance has lots and lots of mistakes. x)
Reading your description while listening to the video really resonated with me. I too was devastated when I learned what had happened to Animenz, just as I was overjoyed when I learned his story would continue. And I too have gone long lengths of time without uploading, or feeling like I was an inadequate pianist (or even an inadequate person). Lately I've also been feeling like I've plateaued with no way to improve. Your performance may not be flawless but it did connect with me, and I find I return to those kinds of videos more than the ones one might call "perfect." I don't think you should force yourself to upload, as I have regretted doing it myself before, but I also think you should upload if you want to. Even if you lose your motivation again, or hit another wall, you've at least made it a little further than you otherwise would have, in my opinion. And I'm sure many people enjoy the videos you do put out. Either way, really liked the video and it's good to hear from you again. I still remember when I first met you in my comment section...in fact, I just went back to check, and it was precisely 2 years ago on this very day! What a coincidence! Take care friend.
Your comments never cease to amaze me. I had totally forgotten the feeling of getting nice, warm and relatable feedback in my comment section. It's great to hear that you've been through something similar. Not implying that I'm a sadist but rather that since you got over it, then I should be able to pull it off as well. I will definitely upload as soon as I find a suitable, and not too hard song for me to arrange. After that upload I can still decide whether I'll keep going. Thank you as always for your feedback, I totally appreciate it! :)
@@NguyenPiano No problem at all! You have always done the same for me, and you've definitely helped to motivate me in the past. I'm just paying it forward. Btw I forgot to mention this in the original comment, but the Butterfly section was actually super well done, the dynamics are so spot-on to the Animenz ver. I almost couldn't find any discrepancies haha
Im so glad i subscribed to your channel. While reading the description of the video, i can’t control my tears. The way you touched our hearts in this video is so unreal. The sound that you made in this video isn’t just some music that satisfies the ear, it touches someone that doesn’t even know you. Good job and pls continue making video!
This is so so sweet! I was planning on doing something similar but... wow to mash so many Animenz arrangements together, you did a seriously great job! Good workkk
Woaaah you are back! I took you 1 year! Welcome back Nguyen! glad to see you back arround here! :DD PD: Woah! you improved A LOT! I still remember how you said the jumps with the left hands of the piece of Sword Art Online was difficult for you, good job!
When I first saw this video posted on Discord, I thought someone made a solo version for the whole Project:Animenz medley, haha! But great job on the playing, Nguyen! And man, was that description a whole whirlwind of emotions. But I'm sure dissatisfaction is perfectly normal for anybody striving to improve in their field, not just with music. Because if we're perfectly content with where we are, where will we find the drive to keep moving forward? It's definitely a double-edge sword, I think. And the creation behind Animenz's _My Dearest_ and _Brave Shine_ arrangements follow a similar path of dissatisfaction, as I'm sure you probably know. But regardless, whether you decide to continue uploading or perhaps take a break, I'm sure all the people who commented here before me will gladly await you when you return. Just don't overdo it, ok man? You'll get things figured out :3 :kannaheadpat: ~🌽
Such a wholesome comment!! I totally agree with you. Dissatisfaction and failure are things that are needed in order to strive to become better. But it still feels frustrating. So frustrating that I never want to return to that hole. And I actually read the description of Animenz's brave shine just about a month ago, fitting perfectly with my situation. His words felt so connecting and inspiring. It definitely makes his arrangement much better knowing the full story making it. Regardless, thanks a lot for your kind words! Also, my video was posted on discord? By whom and where? xD
@@NguyenPiano It was posted in our Project:Animenz Discord server! A member named Sayuriii came across the video and shared it for us. There might be a good chance Animenz sees it, since he and CSM (the project head) are close friends and I think the link was forwarded to him.
Happy belated 11th anniversary, Animenz!

Very good! I can tell just how much each note means to you, and your description only helps to add to it. Perfect medley for a perfect video!
