I love love love your tutorials. I feel like they are really beginner friendly with showing all used stitches, and a really clear explanation with great visuals. Many tutorials/patterns for such projects are targeted towards more intermediate levels that know which stitch is which. You make things so clear, it really helps me so much, as English is not my native language and I get confused with the names of the stitches quite often
I would not agree with You totally. Although I like the patterns I'm quite beginner myself and can't go through some of the videos to finish what I have started. The color of the yarn here used for learning purposes is not visible enough to fallow the next steps correctly. Maybe it's light too? I have finished first set of cross stitches fallowing vidoe and could not figure out wehater I should come back to the beginning and start all over again just with one round of hdc and then attach others stitches to previous ones to receive that nice cross stiched pattern or buy a pattern to be able to fallow the rest correctly. Beautiful patterns but I'm struggling.

Such an excellent tutorial thank you! I'm a queer person and it's really hard finding androgenous patterns, so this is a lovely classic pattern for me. If I goes well, I'd love to make a matching one for my dad, who would love a hand made gift from me! Super cute. Thank you, bless
I have an alternate method of making the back in all one piece. Count your stitches on your last decrease row. Start with that many chains and work up to top and start increase of same amount as the decreases were, just adding instead of subtracting. When you reach that last increase count your stitches to get to the top of shoulder and add on that many chains. Working back down keep your stitches from twisting and do your stitches back down to the armpit and continue the pattern as before working in the back loops. Work the whole back across (don't forget to add the stitches for the cable back in) and do the decreases like you did on the front panel. Now you don't have to seam down the back.
Yes, yes! That's the best way to make a back panel in one go!! We've done plenty of sweaters just like that, but we chose to do this one this way because the Half Double/Single Crochet row sequence slants and if it's made all in one panel it'll have a dramatic slant to one side, which can be evened out when seamed, of course, but we were trying something different. 😊 This way the slant evens out along both ends! ❤️
@@TCDDIY I made mine with bow tie look down the back. Using your small twist cable. :) 3 dc 1st row twist second and 3 dc in third. Spaced them about 5 hdc apart

I'm currently working toward my initial 88 rows of BLO slip stitches and I do hope I live long enough to complete the task! It takes FOREVER because no matter how loose my tension, it's really difficult to find some of the back loops - they seem to retract and hide as they see the hook coming for them. It's SO easy to miss a stitch which is a real no-no - the error sticks out like a sore thumb in the collar. I was hoping to have it finished by Christmas 2020 - maybe I'll aim for 2021.
Yesss! I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally skipped a stitch and had to frog some rows. 😒 It can be a pain, but we love it to much so we deal with it. 🤣
@@TCDDIY This sweater LOOKS TERRIFIC on the model. But..."a pain..." doesn't begin to describe the unpleasant and boring task of wrestling thousands of BLO SLST into place. Hey how r u doing? Love your patterns i am having a question for this one. I am about to make a large size for a man. What size n how much yarn will be required?
Hi! Thank you so much! Our patterns/tutorials give chain and row counts for a size small as a reference and helpful tips on where to measure for other sizes/fits to ensure you get your perfect fit, so it's a "measure along" technique. 😊 All of those tips are within the tutorial with visuals as well! If you have any questions about it i'm more than happy to answer them for you as well. 😊❤️
Hi Matithilee! you can do the back panel twice. Just make a chain the length you want sweater to bee off the collar and repeat the back panel from there. 😊 Hope this helps!
Love it when a piece works out! All of our pieces are made with measurements instead of counts so as long as you measure along you can make it for whoever you like! 😊
@@TCDDIY I made it top down and used the chest measurement and length (since he’s not always home to try it on). Then I used a sweater of his to do the sleeves. It’s in Cafe latte by Lion Brand. Such a great fall color!
@@laurelgirard8475 that's so smart, I've had to measure a sweater, instead of a person before, and it works great! Ohhhh we loveee cafe latte! It's such a pretty shade of brown!
When you put the single crochets in the side slip stitch rows , are you putting one in between the little braid looking rows or two? Kind of hard to catch in the video.. sorry if my question is confusing lol😅 but thank you for sharing!
I think I got you. 😁 when single crocheting there is going to be a raised row and a row that's sunken in. Put 1 single crochet into each. 😊 Hopefully that helps! 😁
@@TCDDIY I can see the loop in the "sunken in" row in the back, but there's no loop that I can find in the "raised row" that isn't far too tight for my 6.5mm hook to go into. Can I crochet two SC together in the "sunken in" row instead?
Hi T. I appreciate you sharing your beautiful patterns. I have one question though, I'm an " intermediate beginner" Crocheter and don't have enough experience to design my own patterns yet. Am I allowed to sell the finished projects made using your design? Thanks.
Thank you so much! The current policy is you're free to sell the things you make using my patterns so long as you: -link the shop and the UA-cam video wherever you post it -purchase the pattern -leave a photo review of the pattern Beyond that this agreement is for hobbiest or small businesses. If you're looking to sell over 15 items a month then we'd need to negotiate some sort of licensing agreement.
Thank you so much for your reply. Yes I'm a small business but I try to combine whatever techniques I learned on YT. I haven't started an online business yet, but I'll be glad to obliged by the policy. Thanks again
It's very beautiful, I'm trying to do it, but I don't understand only one thing: in the right side of the front panel I have to start from the bottom with single crochet row or half double crochet row? Beacause I start with single crochet but then it's different from the left side. Is there a solution? I'm italian, sorry if I was wrong to write. I hope you understand. Thank you so much!
No need to apologize. 😊 I got you loud and clear. Yeah, if you don't want the ribbing to be different on both sides you can start the 2nd panel where the collar is instead of at the bottom of the cables. 😁
There are helpful tips on where to measure within the video for larger sizes. If it's for a present and you can't measure them you can use one of their sweaters as a size reference. Hope this helps!!
Not a silly question at all. I know slip stitches can be pain. 😅 I haven't personally done that, but i've seen it on other designs. I'd say it is possible, but ribbing would look a little different. I'd say no hurt in trying though. 😊
@@TCDDIY I tried it and it worked well, just wish I had have measured it all properly but for a practice piece, I'm not mad lol Love this pattern! Been looking at the rest of your videos and I now have so many more things to try lol
Hey thank you Can you make something with square neck? please!!! I really like princesslike square neck thing - and can’t find goof any crochet ones! Would be very happy if you would do something like this! Greetings from Germany
Hi... Can i use size 5 yarn for this...? I really love the way you explain this beautiful pattern.. I recently bought size 5 yarn... Please help me out.. Eagerly awaiting your reponse.
Hi T! Im so excited to be working on this right now. I have a question on the cables though. So the part where you finish a whole block of cables and finish off with the half double crochet, you gotta have 2 rows of half double crochet - do does the row where the cabling finishes off with the half double crochet count as one of the 2? Because when chain 2 and move on it ends up on the wrong side? If that makes sense. Love from London!
Hi! I think I understand your question. And after your last cable row where I leave you guys off at you only have 1 row of Half Double crochets in between your cables and your next cable row will be worked into your previous cable row, like how our row 5 was worked into row 3. 😊
@@TCDDIY What is the purpose of the HDC (Row 4)? Also, if we count the turning ch as 1 HDC (as instructed in Row 1), then only 5 HDCs are needed. Why do the instructions say 6? Thank you.
@@rae0521 we need a half double crochet to in between each cable stitch row cause the cables all need to start on the same side (the right). And 6 half double crochet rows cause the chain 2 counts as a half double crochet so do you last one into there. 😊
@@TCDDIY Thank you for the clarification. In my experience, once I work through a pattern the first time or so, it all begins to make sense. But that FIRST time through, when there's more than one place the hook can go and the instruction video doesn't say something like "careful... put hook HERE not THERE..." I, for one, can spend an hour trying to figure it out. Again, thank you for your help. Oh... BTW... I found trying to put one SC into EACH BLO row in the collar a very difficult task. There is one loop that's easy but the "front" row, the way I turned, simply doesn't have an available stitch. I had to stop at each one and DIG OUT a stitch with my yarn needle so I could do a SC. I guess I'm ending rows incorrectly.
Trying to decide if I made a mistake: one front panel shows the “front “ of the stitches, the other front panel shows the “back” of the stitches, is that correct?

The current policy is you're free to sell the things you make using my patterns so long as you:
-link the shop and the UA-cam video wherever you post it
-purchase the pattern
-leave a photo review of the pattern
Beyond that this agreement is for hobbiest or small businesses.
روعه مشكورة
سعيد لأنك ترغب في ذلك ، وشكرا لكم على الدعم.
Esta precioso 💖, que size es q esta tejiendo , es hermoso. thank you.
¡Muchas gracias! Este es un tamaño pequeño. 😁
@@TCDDIY Thank you!! Very fast and kind ♥️
Ohhh my would I love to make this for my sons for Xmas but there BIG men !
There are helpful tips on where to measure within the video for larger sizes. If it's for a present and you can't measure them you can use one of their sweaters as a size reference. Hope this helps!!
@@TCDDIY thank you
I'll probably make it for my brother, or keep it for myself
Awesomeee!
Sagittarius❤️Beautiful sweater!
Thank you so much!!
Bit of a silly question but instead of slip stitches for the collar, would it be possible to do single crochet??
Not a silly question at all. I know slip stitches can be pain. 😅 I haven't personally done that, but i've seen it on other designs. I'd say it is possible, but ribbing would look a little different. I'd say no hurt in trying though. 😊
@@TCDDIY I tried it and it worked well, just wish I had have measured it all properly but for a practice piece, I'm not mad lol
Love this pattern!
Been looking at the rest of your videos and I now have so many more things to try lol
Also love the sweater probably make it for my aunt
hehe, thanks. That's awesome!!
Hey thank you
Can you make something with square neck? please!!! I really like princesslike square neck thing - and can’t find goof any crochet ones! Would be very happy if you would do something like this!
Greetings from Germany
Much love to Germany! We have a few in our sketch book, just have to find time to make them. 🤣
Hi... Can i use size 5 yarn for this...? I really love the way you explain this beautiful pattern.. I recently bought size 5 yarn... Please help me out.. Eagerly awaiting your reponse.
It may be a bit bulky, but yes you can. 😁
Been planning on making this but with v-neck style ('cause there's no winter in our country 😃). But, cant figure it out.
That would be super cute! Here is a tutorial that may help! 😁💕ua-cam.com/video/XjQGqgHeu4M/v-deo.html
Beautiful thank u
Welcome 😊 Thank you!!
Really nice sweater ! I'm a Leo 🦁
Thank you! 😊
Hermosooooo!!! 😍🥰
¡Gracias!
Trying to decide if I made a mistake: one front panel shows the “front “ of the stitches, the other front panel shows the “back” of the stitches, is that correct?
Thanks so much for reaching out! 💞 No you didn't do it wrong. Ours did that too, that's the intended look of this sweater. 😊
Muy bonito tutorial si estuviera en español latino todavía mucho más fácil sé los agradezco mucho saludos para ti 😌
